Entrati in questa affascinante casa, tipicamente americana (per noi italiani un sogno), siamo rimasti colpiti dagli ampi spazi e dal salone affacciato con una grande vetrata su un verde giardino. Il camino, la fontana e il suono del pianoforte ci hanno affascinato. Il proprietario, molto gentile, ci ha lasciato le chiavi della nostra camera al piano di sopra, affacciato sul salone! Bellissimo! La camera è bellissima, la Garden Room, ampia, mobili classici e romantici e con finestre sul giardino: atmosfera molto rilassante. La camera accede ad un balconcino.|Al mattino la colazione è servita in una ampia cucina con un enorme tavolo, che consente la convivialità. We stayed here for our Anniversary and it was wonderful. Janice was friendly and attentive but kept her space. Very Quiet and the grounds are lovely. I was a little worried when a few people said it was dusty because I have asthma, but I didn't see any anywhere. We got a package to go along with the stay and everything was done up so well. Wonderfull relaxing experience after very long travel day. The room was very well maintained, quiet, and extremely comfortable. We kicked off our 10 year wedding anniversary getaway in Baton Rouge, the Stockade was absolutely perfect. Everyone was so accommodating, breakfast was delicious and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Loved it!!

Sent my daughter and her new husband for their first night as husband and wife. They were so excited and surprised at the beauty of the place. My son in law said it was so fancy he felt like royalty. I would say this was a wonderful experience. I decided to have my wedding at the Stockade and it was the best decision. This location, although near the road, is so quiet and peaceful. There were other guests staying but the noise was little to none. The breakfast is really good as well. Fresh fruit and freshly cooked savory items. The wedding aspect was great. They arrange for the cake and set up. It just made the day less stressful than it could have been. I am still talking about this place because I was so impressed. I don't have anything to compare it to but the couple in my wedding party has stayed in some before and they said it was one of the best they stayed in. More...

Can’t say enough good about Stockade! Trish was so warm and welcoming prior to the visit and then greeting us and acclimating is to our room. The room was so comfortable!! Everything we could have needed was available to us. Excellent location. We have stayed at many B&B but this is now our favorite. It’s not an older antebellum home if that’s what you are looking for. It’s actually much better. It is a beautiful really well maintained large home. Our room was amazing and we sat on the porch with a glass of wine at sunset. Two story family room in center of house is excellent for entertaining large groups. Place to sit outside and relax. This was our first experience ever with a bed and breakfast and it was absolutely amazing. From check-in to check-out we were treated like family. The room was very cute and we loved the private deck. The bed was comfortable and loved having access to dvd's to watch. Breakfast was good. My wife and I are from New Orleans and we aways try to stay in the Rex Room especially in the spring and summer where fire flies can some times be spotted in the patio area. We did a stopover in Baton Rouge on our way form New Orleans to Houston, family of 4 and stayed in the Escape Room. We were greeted with much information both of the property and of Baton Rouge, also tips on where to dine in the evening. It felt like being in someones quirky home, except much more comfortable. We had full access to the dining and breakfast room where a bottle of wine was inviting to chill (we also contributed with one of our own...)||The room is very comfortable with enough room for four (one queen, two extra beds) and a very good bathroom, all amenities available (shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotion, hair dryer etc) and a great shower.||Breakfast on this day was varied, pancakes, bacon and sausages, many sorts of bread, fruit, juice, coffee, tea and juice - nothing more to ask for!||Thank you for the great service and comfort, we hope to be back some day! We stayed at the stockade for two nights on the way to and return from Jacksonville. The B and B is beautiful and comfortable. After a day of driving we were offered a glass of wine and an opportunity to relax before walking across the street for dinner.
