I can't thank the Spinnaker Restaurant, especially Bill Manson, the banquet manager, for helping my family and I pull together a funeral reception in less than 48 hours, and on New Years Eve day.  He responded quickly, even before he arrived at work, and assured me he would be able to accommodate 75 people for a luncheon buffet.  The room was perfect - the view, the tables, the buffet (salads and salmon were particularly superb, as were the desserts), and the service.  Everything was done with expertise and gracious service.  Bill really knows what he is doing.  Thank you again Bill and Spinnaker for making our day as stress free and  beautiful as possible. I really liked this resto! Â The prices are very reasonable, the atmosphere is great, and it overlooks the water! Â Me and my friends had such a good time here and we are soooo much. Â They serve a blend of dishes, mainly seafood, but other as well. Â If you are in the San Fransisco area, I highly recommend this place. Food: really pretty good! I tried my husband's light fare crab cake with french fries and I thought it was quite good, especially with their pink sauce. Sand dabs with sliced almonds, roasted potatoes, green bean/carrot/onions were good. Some excess of oil on the bottom of the plate I could have done without.My mom liked her salmon salad sandwich, though she's not a picky eater in generalThey have a kid's menu too, which is nice.Service: everyone was great - valet, hostess, waiter, busser. I love this place. It is always very good food for a fair price. Service always good. Easy parking. Beautiful view and the fact it has stayed pretty much unchanged as a building and decor is like going home to charming memory. I have eaten their several times a year for the last 30 years. I have never been disappointed. Even just having a drink or two and the bar is always fun. Both lunch and dinners have always been great. In a time when restaurants constantly update to the latest passing fad, it is nice to have a place that is classy, great ambiance, special for any celebration of one of life's landmarks and I can always depend on for an excellent meal. This place simply cannot be beat for its stunning views of San Francisco Bay. The tables are perfectly situated to afford all diners a beautiful view of the activity. But don’t come just for the view! The ambiance is luxurious and the restaurant was well decorated for Christmas. Our waiter was attentive, and our selections for brunch were delicious! I had the smoked salmon eggs Benedict and wondered aloud why I hadn’t seen that combination on other brunch menus. I am a regular at the Spinnaker. Whenever I have friends or relatives, mostly from Austria, visiting here, I always take them out to the Spinnaker. It is well known that Austria is far from any Ocean, thus there is no Navy. However, San Francisco officials did send at one time an invitation to the Austrian Navy to take part in San Francisco's Fleet Week.Austria replied with much appreciation, but had to decline because their Navy was out on maneuver that week.Now, this is good humor! It was a very busy night. A little disappointed/surprised that the three of us were assigned a tiny round coffee/tea table. Guess to accommodate more people for viewing light boat parade, there has to be some compromise. Valet parking service is good. Food is reasonably priced.
