First time at a Ritz (frequent Marriott business traveler). The good: Beach club is really quite nice, great pool and service. Staff is fantastic. The valet staff at the hotel is fantastic and were so nice to my family, especially my young sons. Honestly, they were the best part of the hotel. Room is ok. Little nicer than a typical Marriott, but I was not overly impressed. Front desk attendant during check in was not very welcoming and didn't explain anything about the hotel, which was disappointing. As a platinum elite, and Ritz credit card holder, i honestly expected to be treated a bit better. Room upgrade was not offered and really no mention or thanks to my loyalty to this brand. Was at a Fairfield inn the week before and felt more valued. In any event, it was still pleasant overall. Not sure I would return, but glad to have tried it. More...

Upon arrival, we were offered s glass of champagne during registration!
Enjoyed a few cocktails at Jack Dusty outdoor lounge area.
Helen was our server and she was utterly delightful (and very helpful). The sheer presentation on the Smoked Painkiller and on the Smoking Jacket made them well worth the price. Snacks/apps were available that included pretty much what you would expect for bar snacks/apps. But a full dinner menu was available. There is a raw bar included in the bar snacks.
The view of the grounds and the water are beautiful; and the lounge area, at night, has a firepit which makes the experience even more enjoyable.
Thus far, our visit has been flawless! We'd love to come back again.

A very nice Ritz-Carlton on the bay. Quick ride over to Lido Beach. They actually have a beach resort, too, and they run shuttles up to 10pm. Great little tiki beach bar. The service is top notch. One of the best hotels I have ever been to. They have extremely polite and knowledgeable staff wether that be at the reception or the restaurant named Jack Dusty. The restaurant has great food and drinks, it’s also open late so if u wish too u could grab a midnight snack with the view of the pier. Went to Jack Dusty's best place I'd been too in a while. Service and ambience was delightful. Drink were ok. However the food knocked my socks off. I had the braised pork chop. Oh my God. Anyone rating this below a 5/5 has not been in the last year so it’s highly unlikely they are truly past guests. Ritz (at least in Florida) is setting trends and creating the benchmark what younger generation of guests needs. It’s a mix of old style unmatched service and luxury (and the beauty of property, of course) with unique entertainment experiences that appeal to thirtysomethings. Luxury hotel in Sarasota where the super friendly staff go our of their way to help. Great view of the bay from our room. Loved our chocolate tasting plate on arrival made up of sea shells

Good breakfast in Jack Dusty restaurant which also has an outdoor deck.
Nice fitness room and excellent location which also gives you access to the Ritz Carlton Lido Beach complex.

Spacious and luxurious rooms, great service, and a lovely outdoor pool at the water's edge. Rooms feature Nespresso machines with fantastic espresso, but a regrettable tea selection. Marble bathrooms are brought down by lackluster tubs in standard rooms. The absence of a hotel shop that is open in the evening calls for vending machines. Went there for drinks and dessert. The bar was beautiful. The patio looks beautiful but Florida was undergoing a major cold snap so we never really got to sit outside. The bourbon selection was deep and the cocktails were good. One minor disappointment was the key lime mousse something-or-other dessert.
