JEN FLIPPIN LOPEZ!!! Go to her! She is absolutely fabulous, she has wicked cool tattoos, a laid back personality, is super friendly and professional. She will walk you through the whole process of what she'll do to your head and even be excited with you. She was super thoughtful, professional, and she ROCKED IT. I went from bleached out disgusting blonde that looked fried to a beautiful flawless brunette with ashy tones! I'm so impressed. I came home and my parents raved about my hair!!! I am in love! She blew it out beautifully and was so lovely. I will be returning in July to get some more badass depth added to my hair, and I WILL be seeing Jen!!! Let me also say that the person who helped me book my apt (Anne) WAS SO KIND. She let me get literally a next day appt and was super open to me explaining what I wanted during my appt. ALSO... once they figured out that my request would take longer than 2 hours they were kind enough to schedule me with another stylist to blow dry my hair after color (since I told Anne I wanted to blow dry as well and Jen had another client within that proximity after the two hours and she didn't want to squish clients together) I thought that was extremely professional- normally most salons just try to squeeze people in and rush! Let me tell you about Jennifer Lopez. No, not Jenny from the Block.. Jenny from Massachusetts! I've lived in Orlando for about 9 years now and have had some awesome experiences at some salons and some not so awesome experiences. .. So, I was going through a little bit of a funk and was between salons. My hair has always been blonde and a few months ago I started dying it purple. After two months I was tired of it and needed a change. After waiting another month while waiting for the purple to fade, as all blondes know, my not so blonde roots kept growing. So, here we are with 3 month grown in roots and my hair not looking so hot. As someone who is incredibly picky with their hair, I was worried about finding the right place to go to. I decided to come here to Yelp and find a new salon that could hopefully save this disaster on my head. After reading all of the great reviews, I found The Red Scarlet Salon. Situated right in the middle of Thornton Park, for everyone already wondering - YES, they have parking! The minute I walked into the salon I was greeted by happy, smiling faces. Definitely something that you sadly don't experience many places nowadays. Jennifer was one of those smiling faces and took me back right away. I explained to her my current hair situation and showed her photos of what I was wanting. From start to finish, Jennifer was so incredibly welcoming and sweet. I'm one of those people that is always worried about making small talk and she immediately made me feel at ease. Side note: this salon is beautiful!! Everything is immaculate and clean and you are immediately offered a beverage upon walking in (yes ladies, there's wine!). Jennifer also told me that Thursdays are quiet days, which was awesome so, definitely book that day if you'd like a more quiet atmosphere. Now, in all honesty - I haven't left a salon in years saying to myself, "I love my hair." There's always one or two little things that I would change or do differently next time, but not this time. My hair came out exactly as the photo that I had initially showed Jennifer (when does that ever happen!?). I left a few hours ago and I'm still staring in the mirror. I was happily surprised with the overall charges for my services. For how beautiful the salon is and how wonderful Jennifer is, I was definitely expecting it to be much higher! But to end this very long review, yes this salon is BOMB - yes, Jennifer is amazing and YES you should check them out if you're looking for a subtle change, a drastic change or even just a pedicure (yes, they do those too!)I will absolutely be going back and am so happy that I took a chance at The Red Scarlet Salon!! I loved my experience and my haircut, from this salon. I was offered complimentary wine, water, or soda upon checking in for my appointment. Everyone was friendly, the atmosphere was laid back, and the salon itself was very clean and beautifully decorated. My stylist, Ben, was very friendly, easy to talk to and explain what haircut I wanted, and VERY good at what he does. He took his time. He was very precise and detail oriented. He was quiet. Which honestly, I loved because I came to relax while getting my hair done. I have three kids at home and I rarely get any quiet time. Ben didn't talk my ear off like a lot of stylists do. But I know he would have engaged in conversation if I had started one up. I came in with hair down to my butt and walked out with exactly what I asked for and had shown Ben in a picture-- a very sleek, A-line bob haircut that was perfect !!  There was not a hair out of place or overlooked. He was very meticulous in cutting my hair precisely the way I requested. On my way home, I stopped at a store and two people did double takes and told me how "perfect" my hair was.  Ben did an amazing job. There aren't enough words to express how grateful I am to this salon and Jennifer L. I chatted with her last week about getting both my girls hair cut and we set up a day. Sadly, my special needs daughter had a spike in seizures and because of multiple ones on the morning of the appointment, I had to reschedule. Jennifer was very understanding and empathetic and didn't get upset at all that we needed to change the day. We then decided on yesterday evening. The salon itself is beautiful and everyone I saw there was extremely kind and welcoming. She did a perfect job on my younger daughter and her hair turned out beautifully. My daughter still hasn't stopped talking about how much she loves it. She was attentive and interactive with her and made her feel so comfortable, a difficult thing for her to find. The work she did with my older daughter was above and beyond what I could have expected. She was so patient and never got frustrated when she didn't want to hold still. She took her time and made sure we liked it. She framed her beautiful face perfectly and now she doesn't have hair falling in her face. I plan on taking my son up there to have his hair cut and have some green dye put in as he has been asking for that for a long time. I'm hoping to save enough money up to get my hair dyed in the future. This salon is fantastic! I've had a few hairstylists in my life hate on my hair because it's really thick and curly (I am half Puerto Rican after all! ). The staff here is very diverse and are skilled in all types of hair textures and lengths. My stylist Jennifer Lopez was very friendly and bubbly- she thought my hair was glorious and took pictures of it afterward. She got me a cup of coffee which made the whole salon smell divine (and it tasted great too). Afterward she got me a couple glasses of red wine. The salon plays this soft key R&B music which was very relaxing, and the whole atmosphere has a great vibe. When my phone almost died from playing Candy Crush Jennifer got me an iPhone charger to use. I got the Balayage treatment that included free conditioning (they had a special going on), and my balayage turned out great. I wanted something subtle that just helped give my hair some dimension and Jennifer did exactly that. She even stayed after the salon closed to blow dry my hair. 5 stars for an amazing & friendly salon! Oh & get this.. they have their own private parking lot. Which means YOU don't have to spend countless hours looking for street parking in downtown Orlando. Their parking is so secure that when you check in, you have to check your car in as well. (Talk about safety measures!)I personally went in for lashes. (However, I'll be back to give their hair stylists a shot!) Jennifer, my lash lady, is amazing. Very kind and welcoming. She listens to what you want-- and then delivers. Pricing is all up front so there's no hidden surprises. She's quick and highly skilled. They were even running a promotion last week when I had my appointment. $99 for lashes? Yea, can't beat that! It was my first time at this place and it was the best decision ever. My hair stylish was VIKTORIA and she was super friendly, kind and extremely professional. I Recently  moved from California to Florida and my struggle to find a good hair stylish in Florida was real. My natural hair is dark and I highlight it platinum blond however my hair always goes to the gold side and it was very difficult to find someone that could  make my highlights platinum without damage my hair until Now. This salon was recommended to me by a friend who said she finally feels like she now has a person that she trusts to cut her hair. Since she's normally not like that, I had big expectations from the get-go... especially since I was also coming downtown from Alafaya. This salon DID NOT disappoint!Everyone was super nice from the moment I walked in, and the salon itself is very chic. My stylist was Viktoria, and I knew I was in good hands from the killer jumpsuit she was wearing! :) She asked me plenty of questions about my hair, how often I wash it, etc, and also listened to my concerns- mainly, that my hair has been thinning due to some medical circumstances. I was looking to chop a fair amount of hair off (it had been a year since my last cut) and get ready for the Orlando summer heat. I liked that Viktoria made extra sure it was what I wanted. I'm sure plenty of people think they're ready for the big chop but regret it soon after. I've done a big chop before, so I was excited about it, but I appreciated her thoroughness. After a shampoo, tea tree treatment, and condition, I showed her several reference pictures, which she asked to see, so she could get a clear idea of what I wanted. Viktoria admitted that she prefers her hair long, but still dove into my cut like any professional. She stopped after the initial chop to make extra sure I didn't want to leave it as a bob. I didn't, but I appreciated her offering the out in case I got cold feet. We made plenty of fun conversation during my cut, and she was great about telling me what she was doing and when she was doing it. It was a relaxing, fun experience, and I don't plan to go anywhere else in Orlando when I need another cut. I recently moved to Orlando from the West Coast and was afraid I was going to spend the next six months getting bad haircuts as I tried to find a good stylist. Thank goodness my first stop was The Red Scarlet Salon - the receptionist recommended Ben since I prefer a short/pixie cut and he did an amazing job! Myself and my wife sometimes have lunch at Benjamin's Cafe which is across the street from the Red Scarlet Salon. It was by chance that she asked me, if she would get her hair trimmed would I get a cut. The sign in the front said they were taking walk-ins so we figured why not. I did not expect what I found.  Not only did this salon exceed my expectations, but I was shocked at how good they were. My wife is very particular and has not cared much for the various places we have gone to. The level of detail given to her, the joy on her face, and how wonderful she looked - words cannot describe. She is very particular and had not one critique.  She will be coming back again. Per myself, you would think as a male that the standard cut would be easy, not so much. My stylist was festive, very friendly, and showed an immense attention to detail. The haircut was precise. We both left there smiling and we shall return. Moreso this is not a salon that when you go with your wife, when you get the bill you will have to sell your first born, dog, or both. It was actually affordable and worth every cent. The environment is friendly, modern, and not snotty. It was simple a pleasure waiting, a pleasure getting your hair taken care of, and a pleasure actually paying. Kai at The Red Scarlet salon is a wizard. I first sat in her chair with hair that was about 5 different shades of color with three inch roots showing. Needless to say my hair was in desperate need of some serious TLC. She talked me through what she recommended and how to best accomplish the look I was after. She did a fantastic job of educating me on the types of products I would need to maintain my hair afterwards as well. Fast forward a bit later, after she worked her magic, and I left her chair feeling like a million bucks. My hair looked so healthy and the cut she applied looked marvelous as well. I moved to Orlando Dec '15 and have not found a stylist I liked until I went to Blake at Red Scarlet! A friend who goes to Kai (she has long dark hair. . loves her) recommended Red Scarlet and after a little research, Blake's name popped up as blonde specialist, went yesterday and I couldn't be happier!! He took the time to listen and explain his ideas.. other salons I felt rushed. My boyfriend also got a cut and actually said "he took time with me and didn't feel rushed like the other place" .... if a man notices.. that says something.. lol. I had a wonderful experience at the Red Scarlet Salon. I don't let just anyone touch my hair. Since I am fairly new to Orlando and was in need of finding a new hair stylist, I was a bit nervous.
