I have been getting SO MANY compliments on my hair since my last appointment with Arlona at the Powder Room Los Angeles. I was wanting a very 70s style shag haircut and Arlona gave me exactly what I was dreaming of. I have curly hair and its very hard to find someone I trust who can cut my hair properly. My hair looks and feels fantastic! Arlona took the time to talk to me before we started to get an idea of what I wanted. Through out the process of the haircut she checked in with me to see if I was liking the direction we were heading in. And I really appreciated this. I have been going to The Powder Room for about a year now but this was my first time with Sessie and I loved her! OMG. Ceci. I received one of the best haircuts of my life from her for the first time about a month or so, and the cut still looks so fresh and super flattering. She is such an amazing stylist who works swiftly and with such detail to every snip. She has such a charming, captivating personality and I felt as if I knew her all my life.  She understands your hair concerns and is super intuitive and gives fabulous advice on what will look good for you. Did my hair here last Tuesday and Im already thinking of what to do next with my hair. Mahaira retouched my blonde and left me with my natural color on the roots and then made it rose gold. She was very nice and did with my hair exactly what I asked her and even went the extra mile. She make sure to take her time and lot of dedication. This is the first time I've ever left a review in my life so that should tell you something! Jamie is the best hair stylist in the game. I've been traveling around to different hairstylists in LA since I moved here 6 years ago, until I landed at a high end salon in Beverly Hills where I went for a couple years because they did a good job. However, I couldn't keep up with the prices anymore, they kept getting more and more expensive and I felt like my hairstylist didn't try as hard anymore because I was a regular. I knew I had to find someone who was equally as good but at a little more reasonable cost. Jamie is seriously the best! I have super dark hair naturally and have always spent a lot of a time and money highlighting it because the color always felt so dark and harsh against my pale skin. The first time I went to Jamie, I booked an appointment just for base and to have tape in hair extensions put in. I decided I would come back a different day for highlights since all of those things are time consuming and that would be a really long day. Anyways, Jamie is the first stylist who ever gave me such a rich, stunning dark color that I ended up not even wanting highlights! This is the best I've ever looked fully brunette. I'm obsessed and so happy with the color and thrilled I can ditch the days of doing highlights. ALSO, she put my tape ins SO quickly yet perfectly, she's a magician with extensions. I also loved that she put my tape ins in my hair in a way that I can put my hair in a pony tail and none of it gets stuck (if you've had tape ins before you know what I'm talking about). Lastly, Jamie gave me an amazing haircut. At the end of the haircut, she even put my hair in a ponytail to make sure that it wasn't unevenly cut when it's in a ponytail! I've been coming in to see Jamie I think two years now Even since I've moved to Guam, I still come in and have her do my hair. And then wait months until I can come back to let her work with it again. I always trust her creative direction, honestly she can do whatever she wants, it's always incredible. I recently booked my first appointment with Jaimie at The Powder Room LA and can't keep this local gem a secret! New to the LA area, I was on a search for my new salon home. Aside from Jaimie's outstanding Portfolio of client work on Instagram and Yelp, what really reeled me in was the reviews I read on the French organic, vegan hair color line @vegetalement Jaimie and team have available in the salon. My appointment was a dream from start to finish! Upon arrival I was offered a complimentary glass of delicious sangria. Jaimie then spent time to personally consult with me on the vision for my hair transformation. Having waited 3 months since my last appointment my hair color was severely faded and brassy, left with color bands and damaged ends. We landed on an almost black shade with a blue base. The blue base neutralized the brassiness beautifully. This essential oil based hair color was unlike any other lines I've used and did not have any chemical smell. After processing without heat for half an hour (so fast!!!!) I was treated to the backbar @vegetalement shampoo and conditioner followed by the @vegetalement deep conditioning treatment. Jaimie's assistant also jumped in there with a stellar scalp massage while the salon pup took a rest on my lap. Note: The sangria was generously refilled during the appointment :-)After the blow out, Jaimie went to work on the cut based on my goals of length with blunt edges, cut with a volumizing technique. I opted for her famous curls-  loose waves done with a wand. My hair is so shiny and healthy!!!!We discussed a plan for follow-up appointments and I grabbed a new Oribe styling product on the way out.I'm stoked to call Powder Room LA my new salon home and the opportunity to experience this amazing hair color line @vegetalament! Ceci is so good with hair that my two roommates AND myself all go to see her. I have fine hair that no hairdresser has ever been able to curl correctly and Ceci was able to give it a cute loose curl that lasted for two days! I've also gotten several compliments on the cut! Ceci also corrected my roommate's hair that was dried out from bleaching and made it healthy and shiny again and gave it a healthier look/color. Jaimie is helping me live my best life. I first came to her a few months ago and showed her a picture of what I wanted. I also told her I was getting married in a month, so the pressure was on. She took her time, she listened, and I was blown away by her work. I ended up booking her for my hair and Veronica for my make-up for my wedding because I just knew that it would look amazing, and it did! The best part is it doesn't cost an arm and a leg! Arlona did the most amazing cut and color for me, and people are stopping me on the street to compliment me.  I've been going to Arlona for a while now, and she has always made me look fantastic.  But this time, we did something completely different.  Arlona had been encouraging me for some time to lighten up my hair.  We did root color and lots of highlights.  My hair looks better than it has in years and I feel (and look) years younger.  I've been afraid of highlights because my hair is stick straight.  But Arlona made them look like I was born this way.  It is natural and shiny and beautiful!  And the cut is precise and perfect.  Plus, it has been so easy to maintain this style, because her cut is so perfect.  Arlona is a true artist! I had Ceci and she crushed it. My dark blond roots were out in full force and I showed Ceci a picture of Sam's hair from Sex and the City (you guys know the blonde I'm talking about) and Ceci knew exactly how to help me achieve the look without breaking the bank every month to keep it up. She honored where I was at budget-wise (getting out of debt and all) and still got me the look I loved! She is also awesome and very kind/caring. Oh and they hooked me up with a good glasses frames guy and samples...and snacks...and a cute puppy that walks around the salon and cuddles with you when you're getting your hair washed. I had a wonderful time at the powder room. Initially, I came in for just the express keratin treatment. But I was recommended to add on a base adjustment. I was already unhappy with my base and thought it was a good time to fix the issue. Their price seemed really fair as I had significant roots, and my hair is well past my shoulders. They also added on a trim as my ends were pretty dry. This was complimentary and I definitely appreciated it!  Overall the whole process was four hours, but they took their time and didn't rush. JOEL. You guys, Joel is the best, best, best! Please take it from a picky blonde. Few stylists (less than a few?) have been able to achieve the bright golden blonde I love, and he nailed it! Also, he is so super friendly and makes you feel at ease, and you can just relax (with a coffee or tea!) knowing you're in good hands. Let me put it this way: I won't let anyone else touch my hair unless it's Ceci. Like ever ever. After two other botched color jobs and a series of unfortunate events with henna, she saved me. I've lived in Los Angeles for 15 years and had my fair share of experiences with stylists. I was borderline ready to shave my head. After after two or three visits for routine cut and colors with her my hair has been completely transformed. She's amazing at what she does and never fails to amaze me with her skills. When I first came to Jaimie at The Powder Room in December 2017, my hair had been chemically fried by a balayage done at a different salon. Saddened by the loss of my once long hair, I originally came to Jaimie for Keratip extensions, but almost a year and a half later Jaimie has completely transformed my hair! My hair is finally healthy again and my color is exactly what I had wanted for years but never got until I started coming to Jaimie. Jaimie was able to get my naturally black hair to an ashy, orange-free blonde balayage while also making the health of my hair a top priority. I got my hair cut by Joel last August. He was able to get me in very quickly, and did a great job cutting my hair. I was going shorter than I'd ever gone before, which made me nervous, but he gave me probably one of my favorite haircuts I've ever gotten. I was apprehensive about committing to bangs (even though I really wanted them), so Joel cut some delicate curtain bangs for me to try out for a little bit, and if I wanted to take the dive into so more bold bangs, I could come back in and he would cut them for me for free. This team made me feel like a valued customer before I even stepped foot in the location.  It was easy to book an appointment online and Jamie even helped me in the process through Yelp.  When I arrived at the location, I was immediately taken care of by the receptionist who was friendly and attentive (even brought me an iced coffee!).  Then, I met Ceci.  She knew exactly what needed to be corrected and what needed to be done to elevate my look.  As a brunette, my previous LA experiences were not great since every hair dresser was heavy-handed on the blonde and didn't place it in a way where it looked natural.  Ceci respected that I wanted to read more brunette than blonde, and gave me the subtle baby highlights I was looking for, with the placement that I wanted.  I'll definitely be going back and I'm so happy that I found my go-to salon. :) More...

I just recently moved to LA from San Francisco and had been looking for a good salon/stylist for my tape in extensions. Luckily I was able to book an appointment with short notice on a Sunday! Ceci was my stylist and took great care of me. She has a lot of experience with extensions, and had great recommendations for my hair. Ceci did an amazing job, and was lovely to spend an hour chatting with! I'm literally walking out now and I am SO happy with my experience. I came here to get a blow out before my best friends wedding and my hair looks fantastic. I'm one of those annoying people that doesn't exaaactly know what they want to have done and everyone was so nice and accommodating and just really great at what they do. I didn't have a makeup appointment but they managed to squeeze me in (of course I still recommend making an appointment) and honestly, I feel so amazing after having my hair and makeup done.
