The owners where so nice and offered a free sample of their award winning chocolate pie. It's was absolutely delicious. Like a melted hersheys Bar had a midlife transformation into pie filling and bonded with a flaky pie crust. Definitely ordering one for thanksgiving. We tried the coconut pie ( in the style of a pecan pie vs a cream pie) and it was excellent. The key lime slaps as well. More...

Today was my time experiencing the Pie Folks, I ended up taking a bite of my Lemon Ice Box before leaving the lot and immediately had to head back inside for a full one. Great personality from the staff!..inviting atmosphere!...I was also able to sample their award-winning slap yo momma chocolate pie. The pie was delicious. I also enjoyed the key lime and strawberry pie. I thought that chocolate and strawberry pies were favorites only in the Deep South (wrong)...Lol! I have been wanting to try this place for a very long time. I stopped by to try the peanut butter chocolate pie and get a slice of key lime for my husband. The person working the counter was very pleasant and greeted me immediately. He asked if it was my first time in and offered me a sample of their top selling pie - Slap Yo Mama Chocolate Pie. I tried a sample and it was good, but unwanted peanut butter. The service alone should get you in there. They were very pleasant. I recommend you give them a try. More...

When you're coming through, you need to try their famous slap yo mama chocolate pie and banana pudding. When we arrived, it was just us and another customer who was finishing up their pie. Plenty of seating inside and good customer service. They do allow you to sample their award winning pie (slap yo mama chocolate) which is nice. They also sell cupcakes but we didn't venture there this time. Their chocolate pie is absolutely delicious- I'm a chocolate lover and had a great appreciation for this pie. It's probably one of my top favs at the moment. Their banana pudding was good but nothing too special (still tasted great). I was finessed into buying their banana pudding mix so I'll be making it at home to re-create the same flavor I had when I came here. This is also worth checking out when you're in Memphis- it won't disappoint! More...
