My wife and I reached out to Sandy a few years ago when our dog (hound mix) was having issues being highly reactive to other dogs and people.
Previous trainers we met with said he was a “lost cause” and we would need to muzzle him in public.
After just a few sessions with Sandy, we saw a complete turn around. He started listening to commands and became less reactive to dogs/people. A lot of Sandy’s methods involved equally training US as owners as well as our dog, which we found incredibly helpful. As someone who hadnt owned a dog previously, she taught me how to read his body language, which I found very valuable!
Recently, we used Sandy’s expertise to prepare that same dog for our newborn baby girl. Her methods worked like a charm, and our dog has welcomed his baby sister with open paws! Although we didnt need additional assistance, she stated she would make herself inmediately available if he had any negative reactions to the baby at any point - something we appreciated greatly.
I can’t speak highly enough about Sandy. She helped us turn a two worried puppy parents into confident dog owners!

This was our second time using Sandy to help us with the proper training of a dog. About two years ago we went through a wonderful series of lessons with Sandy for our first dog, Dexter. Initially with our new dog, Oscar, we thought we could just recall what Sandy had shown us before and we would be fine. And for Oscar, we were right. What we didn’t anticipate was the reaction Dexter would have to Oscar. Dealing with the territorial issues Dexter displayed and what we thought was jealousy toward Oscar was beyond us to deal with. So we contacted Sandy and she was eager to help. With Sandy’s help we have been able to acclimate Dexter to Oscar’s presence and our two boys are interacting nicely. What we like about Sandy’s method of teaching is that she doesn’t simply teach the dogs, she teaches us, too. Sandy is very patient in her interactions with our dogs, but she is equally patient with us. On several occasions I asked Sandy the same questions 5 or 6 times and never once was she short with me; she would cordially answer my questions again and again. It is the same way when Sandy is demonstrating a technique – she will repeatedly show you how until you are sure you are comfortable with it. Perhaps the nicest thing I have seen with Sandy is the care she takes to educate our two young children in the proper ways to interact with Dexter & Oscar. Now that is when we really appreciate Sandy’s knowledge and patience. We have had nothing but positive outcomes in our interactions with Sandy and she is the dog trainer we will turn to when we need future assistance with dogs. I would sum up my thoughts about Sandy by saying that she realizes that a dog is a family member and her top priority is making sure that everyone (humans & dogs) is one big happy family. More...

What do you love most about your job?
While I love training all dogs, what I love most is the work I've done with formally abused dogs. Watching them go from scared and shaking to well adjusted, happy, tail wagging dogs.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I adopted a senior Cocker Spaniel. When I got him home I discovered that he had severe separation anxiety. He would try to hurt himself to get out of the house to get to me. My veterinarian was wonderful in helping, but I wanted to learn more. That's when I took a course in dog training. I will tell you that the course taught me the very basics, but my internship was amazing. I learned so much in the time I was there and to this day I can reach out to my mentor with any questions.

I give my all for each client. Once I am hired by you, I am your trainer. I can be reached anytime, and will respond to emergencies immediately. I also have child/dog interaction program and bringing home baby services. These are free for people that have hired me in the past. I keep my prices reasonable.
