Attended a class for scone making and got to try their desserts while we were there. Delicious pastries/desserts/coffee, excellent instruction and baking tips during the class and just a lovely atmosphere from the time you walk in the door. We will definitely be back!

Had an amazing tea break at The Pantry KC today. I can hardly wait to go back!!!!! Cucumber sandwiches, Victoria sponge cake, sweet scones with clotted cream, savory bacon and cheese scones, key lime tarts, chocolate cake, raspberry cake, and mini quiche all accompanied by some Earl grey tea. I found this terrific bakery by searching for somewhere to grab a coffee and something to eat (something different than the standard fast-food fare) while on a road trip that just happened to bring us through Lenexa. ....it's a tad hard to find, but OMG it's well worth the effort!I had a bacon-egg-cheese croissant and my hubby had a bacon frittata and both were excellent (sorry, hubs ate his so fast I didn't get a photo!).....everything looked SO good we also grabbed a couple of sandwiches and some cookies for later in the day.....they tasted even better than they looked, so much that it made me wish we lived in Lenexa!  I literally wanted to stay a few days just so we could eat there again. The best part though was that the gal who works there was so nice and friendly, she helped with some local directions and a few baking tips to boot....if I did live there, I just know we'd be fast friends. :-) I would go out of my way to visit there again, and I highly recommend it to anyone who is even remotely close - you must try this place to believe it, but I warn you that you'll get hooked, LOL! Just found out this place is one minute from my apartment and I am in some trouble. The red velvet loaf is amazing. The sugar cookies have that tinge of lemon that makes them refreshing. What a cool little place!

Excellent pastries made with fresh ingredients with a European flair. Not low calorie but worth every bite. The owners are on site and very accommodating. I'm a sucker for sweets, especially chocolate sweets! Stopped in yesterday with the whole crew to enjoy a Spring Break kickoff. Each one of us picked something different and we sampled from each other. We were offered a sack to take home our leftovers, which I thought was foolish, until after several decadent bites left us too full to finish. Found this wonderful treasure on Yelp while searching for a place to meet a friend for coffee.  The blueberry muffin loaf was delicious (as were the cinnamon rolls I took home for my family! ). All of the bakery items were beautifully designed and looked delectable!  Owners, Dee and Jo were both very friendly and shared several of their "baking tips".  Not only did I meet a friend at The Pantry-Kc for coffee, I felt like I made two new friends.  Thanks Dee & Jo, we will definitely be back to try another of your delicacies! Met a friend here for coffee and and a pastry...WOW..amazing lemon currant scone with clouted butter.  Sooo good, prob the best I've ever had and I'm a scone purist! This place is amazing! The baked goods are so yummy! I tried a bite of four different things- chocolate chip cookies(big chunks of milk chocolate and real butter ). Carrot cake(cream cheese goooey and good and just the right spices) peanut butter chocolate cake(need I say more) and apple scones with a whipped butter. The owner is a beautiful young lady from England-love her accent. Her work is beautiful and taste great! Go by and check her business out. You will be glad you did. My sister-in-law recently ordered a birthday cake for my nephew who was turning five and told me that she ordered the cake from this shop and was really happy with the entire experience. I can't speak for the experience, but I can tell you that this was a beautiful cake - absolutely beautiful and delicious, too!  It was a very dense, rich almost pound cake like chocolate cake with an Italian buttercream that was spot-on - very silky and smooth.My nephew *loved* it and was just in awe and everyone enjoyed it.  I could have eaten the entire thing myself, but I resisted.  Just a wonderful experience all around!  Thank you! It's a pretty dangerous thing to discover an amazing bakery that is directly across the street from your gym...but I can't say it's the worst thing that's happened to me! The other day i had a great workout, mostly motivated by the idea of stopping at the Pantry afterword. I had a savory scallion and cheese scone, which was warm and so flavorful. I took home a chocolate gooey butter cake (rich chocolate crust and sweet gooey topping) and lemon poppyseed pound cake (moist and amazing fresh lemon taste). This shopping plaza looks a little drab from the outside, but it has a hidden gem that is anything but that. The Pantry KC is cute little bakery that whips up a bunch of adorable and delectable treats. The shop is bright and inviting. The owners, Joanna and Deepal, are super sweet people. The treats are a delight on the eyes and stomach. Indulge your sweet tooth here!The mini buttercream cakes are so pretty and tasty. The cake is moist, and the buttercream is not overly sweet like frosting. The cake I got was dazzlingly adorned with macrons and edible gold. There were also mini cakes decorated to look like a unicorn! Equally as yummy are the mini cheesecakes. Freeze it for a little bit, and it is kind of like an ice cream alternative. Aside from desserts, there are plenty of pastries to choose from. I had a scone, which was perfect - crisp on the outside yet soft on the inside. I also had a ham and cheese croissant, which made for a nice little breakfast snack. There are also breakfast burritos and sandwiches if you want more of a meal option, and drink options consist of Maps Coffee and Tazo tea. Maps Coffee's coffee beans and chocolates are also sold here.The Pantry KC is a good spot to grab breakfast or lunch. Everything is freshly made, and the prices are reasonable. This is within walking distance of my home. That's both good and bad. I think I'll eat more calories from there than I can burn off. I tried the cheese and chive scone. So good. My husband picked a lemon scone and a blueberry scone. We got a monkey bread to share. Everything was really good. I feel horrible but I don't recall the woman's name but she was super friendly and helpful. I will be super happy to try everything on the menu. More...

Let me start by saying how great the staff is and the food is just AMAZING!!! I recently bought a cake for my husband's birthday party and it was a piece of perfection. Everyone loved it and my husband is a "pie person", and he was even complimenting the cake over and over. I didn't even have to go over a lot of details about how I wanted the cake made.
