I just moved into town, and I wanted to find a place to take a friend to dinner after she drove 4 hours to bring my dog up. I wanted a place with a nice wine selection and a mix of food, and my Yelp search landed on The Paisley Pig. We stopped in on a cold Tuesday evening. There were several other tables when we got there, but the place wasn't full by any means. The wine selection was great.. we both ordered a glass that spoke to us and followed it up with another once it was gone.My friend ordered a pizza and I did something that I can't remember anymore. I did the Michigan Bison Meatloaf, which was good, but I remember my friends Burrata or Notta pizza better. We stopped in with a large party for work. The appitizers were really good. The Neapolitan Pie was really great. I had the trout and wished the menu would have detailed the dish better as I wouldn't have ordered it knowing it came tail and skin on. I ended up picking through the dish verse enjoying my meal. I'm sure others wouldn't mind, but personal preference for me is no skin on my fish. As for the drinks, the Blame Canada is great and with dessert the Lucky One is spot on with the Chocolate Torte. Excellent food which explains the sometimes long wait times to be seated. Â Service is prompt. Â The kids menu actually featured a real food chicken option as opposed to frozen strips. Â We loved that. Â We'll be back.

Came from out of town about 2 hours away and I would travel here anyday! Very appealing atmosphere, great drinks, and even better food! Got the burger with duck bacon and it was amazing. Stopped in for a breakfast and ordered coffee and blueberry pancakes...coffee was very good but pancakes were just OK... I loved the real maple syrup but the pancakes were just white flour...would love to see some whole grain pancakes on the menu at some point More...

Food was good, but there is room for improvement. Â Caesar Salad was a large portion for a small which is ok, the price was $5, it was marginally dressed and felt more like a garden salad with all the grape tomatoes. Â Onion rings, had a slightly fishy taste, over all good, the inside was cooked right (not mushy) but the bread crumb coating felt undercooked, not that crispy and not seasoned. The biggest "miss" was the open face prime rib... it was a visual mess, and there was so much marbling that it was hard to find the meat. Was in town just for a weekend toward the end of summer and found this to be the top rated place on Yelp. It lived up to that designation. Service was amazing - Lauren was our waitress and she was super attentive and did a great job conversing with our group to ensure our visit was more of an experience than just a dinner out. The drinks were great - the group tried a handful of things on the menu and even got to talking about tweaks on some drinks with the waitress. But the consensus best drink was the Bergalicious. Rye whisky in a smoked glass. But its basically a glass on top of a glass to really keep that smoke in there. I think they said it was like a redwood smoke or something, it was incredible.I had a brisket burger which was full of flavour and the brisket was great. Everything cooked to perfection. It may not have been the most unique item ever but it was very well executed. A few of us got the spicy mac and cheese. It was great, but for me could've used even more spice. Great choice! Awesome beer list, found my new fave...Pigeon Hill Salted Caramel Porter. Our waitress was great in giving menu and beer suggestions. I had the philly pizza, it was great, super yummy crust that would be great with anything on it! Hubby had the ribs, suggested by our waitress, and they were a win.
