The Newbury features the most upscale eclectic luxury experience, delivering an authentic sophisticated tribute to Boston and its famed Newbury Street, with all the luxury amenities it has to offer. Was very curious to see the old Ritz Carlton building and former Taj Boston but majorly disappointed in the poor customer service training at The Newbury Boston. Booked the “She’s Back Debut Offer” which included Daily Breakfast for Two, $100 Food and Beverage Credit and Early Check-in and Late Check-out (12pm / 2pm). Apparently the staff at check-in is unaware of this offer and we had to fight for our early check-in. Was hoping for a better experience the next day, but at check-out found out that the hotel doesn’t honor Daily Breakfast at The Contessa. Although we were never told WHERE to have breakfast! No one is helpful and I had to again fight with the very RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL STEVEN FLEURY who actually LAUGHED at our frustration. Quite frankly he should not be in the hospitality industry but I guess The Newbury Boston will hire anyone off the street. HUGE mistake staying here. Glad we only tried for 1 night - stay at the Four Seasons instead. More...
