The Mischievous Dog

I have owned three previous dogs, all rescues; especially for my last one, I wish had known about Lysa's classes.  She would have brought her so far!  I've watched her work with dogs that some would say to give up on because they couldn't focus, or would run off, or got the zoomies, or seemed untrainable.  With her keen insight into and knowledge of dogs, she has wrought miracles.     She helps you, the owner/handler, learn how to deal with each issue that may come up.  She does it step by step, in layers, using positive reinforcement, not ridicule of the owner or severe physical punishment of the dog.  She doesn't tolerate extremes; and the dogs seem to know that there are limitations when she says, "Cut it out!"  (My dog stops her extreme barking - her Toller "scream"! ).     I'm sorry if I am going on too much; I just cannot praise Lysa's skills as a teacher and trainer enough.  I am in an Agility class with her.  I came in there with my young Toller knowing next to nothing, and my dog knew nothing about agility for sure!  She takes us step by step, using positive reinforcement and encouragement, so that we succeed.  And then she points out ways we can improve, helping our dog read our signals and better able thereby to succeed.  She not only excels in teaching the foundations of agility, but she also has a keen eye (I would have sworn she wasn't watching when I did that course!  But she has eyes in back of her head, I guess!! ;-) ) and notices the health of the dog (is she losing coat?) as well as little things that make a huge difference in the relationship of the handler and the dog.   Lysa is an exceptionally talented dog trainer.  She has helped me to engage more with my dog as well as to work with her in agility.  She is AWESOME!!  and I highly recommend her.   P.S.  She is also extremely creative; you should see the collars and leashes that she creates!  They're beautiful.  (That's just a bonus ;-) ) More...

Excellent instructors. I have done agility with my dogs for over 20 years and their instructors are the best in the business. Also the obedience training is top notch taught by an obedience judge and top competitor who has obedience championship titles in AKC More...

My dog Sport and I love Lysa. She is kind, funny and patient. My well behaved Confirmation dog is now an even better behaved new Agility dog.
