Cognitive Processing
The Mental Health Movement utilizes a cutting-edge strategy, known as Nomadic Mind Mapping, to facilitate transformative and thought-provoking discussions with our clients (whether they be individuals, couples or families). This dynamic process is made up of 5 highly effective cognitive processing techniques - Empathetic Listening, Motivational Interviewing, Socratic Debate, Transpersonal Philosophy and Mind Mapping - each selected to guide clients through the labyrinth of mind and repressed emotions to examine the root cause(s) of their mental health-related symptoms.
It is important to note that while this process is certainly therapeutic, it should not be confused for Therapy. Reason being, we do not diagnose nor "treat" mental health disorders. Instead, we guide clients through a profound self-discovery process and help them establish a personal wellness practice that naturally enhances their mental health. Additionally, we provide solution-focused support to help clients effectively identify and overcome the obstacles impeding their wellbeing.
The following is a list of the main topics discussed throughout the Nomadic Mind Mapping process.
- Personal Relationships
- Attachment Styles
- Communication and Conflict Resolution
- The long-term effects of chronic stress and trauma
- Family of Origin
- Societal and Cultural influences
- Self-empowerment
- Self-advocacy
- Strategic Planning
- Intentional Community building
- Integrative healthcare
- Western medicine
- Eastern philosophy
- Modern Psychology
- Stoicism
- Spirituality
