If I could give them 10 stars I would. We booked the Martin event space for our wedding and I am amazed at the high quality people and service we experience any time we work with them. Every time we meet, Kelly is organized and punctual which is great, but more over she caters to our needs and wants and is beyond friendly and is happy and determined to provide us with the day of our dreams. She responds to emails extremely fast and is so knowledgeable and creative when it comes to the details of a wedding. I couldn’t ask for a better experience thus far. Also, the chef and everyone we have dealt with has exceeded all expectations and really makes us feel taken care of as though they’re planning an event of their own that they care deeply about. Cute event space, a little small for our event but that's the planning committee's fault not the event spaces. The bathrooms are small but clean, one toilet paper holder was broken. Staff was friendly, food was good. There is a wonderful outside space with a firepit. Parking leaves a little to be desired but was enough for our event. The entrance to the lot is on the corner so I passed it the first time and had to turn around and come back. More...

Our wedding was perfect. The space was perfect. This staff is PERFECT!! Kelly and her team went above and beyond to help make our day run as smoothly as possible. They are easy to communicate with and so accommodating. When you book this space, you’re not going to feel like just another pay day...these people truly care about the role they play in your big day. Your venue search is over! BOOK. THIS. PLACE. We booked The Martin for our wedding reception and we could not have been happier with our decision! We booked about a year in advance and worked with Brittaney to tour and reserve the space. Our main reasons for booking were because of their amazing craft beer selection and their beautiful rustic atmosphere, but other pros were an in-house kitchen, plenty of parking, and they were reasonably priced compared to similar venues in the downtown area. They also have a raised stage area which served perfectly as a large dance floor, as well as a pretty garden with a fire pit on the side of the venue. Our cook was also simply amazing. We had a hard time deciding which meals to go with because they were all delicious! In the middle of the planning process, we met with the new coordinator named Kelly and WOW. We cannot say enough good things about her!! From the moment we met, to the very end of our big day, she was so personable, helping everything go smoothly, answering questions with a smile, helping out our vendors, bridesmaids, groomsmen, parents.. and especially US! I was very picky in how I wanted the space and decorations set up (even sending her a floor plan and expansive list of how I wanted it), and she made sure it was done to a T. She ensured our time at The Martin was nothing less than perfect and we cannot thank her enough. We even received such a nice card and a bomber of my favorite Martin City beer from her at the end that was just the cherry on top of it all. Completely above and beyond. Can I give them 10/5 stars? #1 Wedding Venue!! My daughter/new son and I knew as soon as we walked in, this was the place! It's beautiful by itself, so it made decorating easy. Kara Moore and her staff was absolutely the best! They have great food and a great location. We got lots of compliments from our guests! I can't say enough about the wonderful experience we had from start to finish!! We loved it!!! So happy that we booked The Martin for our wedding reception! We are from KC but live in North Carolina right now, so I planned everything from far away and it could not have been easier. Kara is amazing and so great to work with! She was very quick to respond to all of my questions and was so accommodating throughout the whole process. The venue is beautiful, the food is delicious, and it's so fun to be able to have their brewery beers on tap for our guests - such a unique touch offered at The Martin. The staff is also wonderful and even helped make sure our candy bar stayed stocked and that the cupcakes were out - these were things we brought in ourselves so we were planning on taking care of them, but Kara offered to help and it was so nice to not have to worry about! I won't ruin the surprise, but I will say that we also received a special gift from Kara & The Martin - another special touch! We used The Martin Event Space for our wedding reception. We were extremely happy with our choice, as everything turned out to be beautiful. Leading up to the day, Brittaney was very easy to work with and was responsive to our questions. At times though, we had to follow up more than once or make corrections to some of our choices to ensure our final bill was accurate. For this reason, we didn't give 5 stars, but certainly feel it is a strong 4+ star venue. The best part about The Martin was the food. It was absolutely amazing! Kudos to the head chef!! If you have a reception for 150-160, we definitely recommend using The Martin. Any more than that and it may get a bit crowded. We had a surprise 50th birthday party for my husband this past weekend. Kelly and the staff were so professional, fun, kind and followed through on everything for a stress free fun evening. They went above and beyond even helping to trick the Birthday boy to come from the brewery down the street to the party. The food was great and venue was beautiful. The guests really enjoyed the outdoor space with the fire pit and all of the hydrangeas in bloom. This is the perfect spot for a birthday or any celebration! More...

I was a bridesmaid in a friend's wedding here and had a great experience. The event coordinator, Kelly, was very helpful during the rehearsal dinner to make sure we knew where to go and what to do during the ceremony. The day of the wedding, everything went smoothly and she was present the whole day for anything we needed. We were able to arrive early (12pm) which gave us plenty of time to set up centerpieces and get ready. The Martin is gorgeous and the food is excellent! I'd highly recommend it. More...

A cozy event venue that is fairly nice, including a really nice outdoor beer garden type area. The things to be cautious of is the lack of parking around the area itself and the limited bar area (only enough space for 2 to 3 bartenders). Outside that, a nice space. This is a beautiful venue. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful! As a hair and makeup artist, I have been in many bride's rooms that honestly need a lot of work. That was not the case here! This venue is awesome! Imagine a more delicate Martin City Brewery, with more romance and an upscale ambiance to set the mood. This space is the perfect setting for an intimate event, like my WEDDING :) Or hosting a private party or function for a group of friends, family or colleges. If you want to impress your guests, this comfortable space is warm and inviting, Kara and her staff are just lovely, professional and experienced in the hospitality industry. The outdoor garden is exquisite. At The Martin, you have the option to chill on the patio or mingle inside (unfortunately, I'd found a lot of venues do not have outdoor access).
