The Magician Black Bert - Simply the best

We just had Magician Black Bert for my daughter's 8th birthday. I booked him based on the yelp reviews! I was a little anxious since I did not have any personal recommendations. However, I did verify he had done a party for a child at my son's previous school! Any way, booking was easy and he arrived on time. The kids had a blast from the 8 to the 12 year old! We had a very spontaneous surprise birthday party for my 18 year old daughter - YES, 18!  We had seen a magic show at a local restaurant and she loved it, so we thought, why not? !   Bert responded quickly to my last minute request and was able to make the drive to Leander within hours - amazing!  He tailored the show to the young adults, making it fun and interactive while still impressing us all with the quality of magic.  He was very fun and ALL the "kids" (aged 14-18) really enjoyed the show! We hired Bert for my son's 8th birthday party. Since we are new to the area we didn't have any references and we decided to go with Bert strictly based on Yelp reviews. We were not disappointed.We went with the magic lesson and show option. Kids had a blast and we had many parents telling us that kids continue to do the tricks at home almost a week after the party. Bert was very kind to the children. He knew how to handle the second graders, some of them skeptics, some have already been to a magic show party, some simply not interested. He choose his tricks wisely to grab attention of all and surprised them. All got to participate doing the tricks and had a fabulous time.We highly recommend Bert! More...

We hired Bert for our daughters 7th birthday party, and he was a huge hit! His approach included both a magic class and a magic show. The kids had a great time learning a magic trick before being amazed with several captivating tricks during the show.  The adults were equally entertained during the show as well.  Bert expertly managed a group of sugar-high six and seven year old first graders.  We were impressed at how he was able to be both firm and patient while still keeping the show moving along and really engaging the kids by using lots of volunteers and interaction.  Everything was age appropriate and clearly well practiced.  There wasn't any bumbling or mistakes or failed tricks, but rather a clearly prepared and practiced approach that didn't feel scripted, but didn't miss a beat.  Highly recommended! Black Bert did a birthday party for our daughter turning 6, and it was absolutely fantastic!  After he left, parents kept telling us this was the best kids birthday they have ever attended. He showed up on time, required almost nothing from us to get up and started.  The kids loved him and he kept a routy group of 6 year olds focused and captivated.  I highly recommend Black Bert!For a small charge he provides "goodie bags" for the kids.  These were great - about 4-5 magic tricks and he walks through using all of them with the kids.
