I love this place!!! It's a simple place to have a nice bite to eat grab some coffee or a drink (drink). It's great for getting on your laptop doing some work or meeting up with some friends. Sometimes you may even catch them having live music or some kind of event with live music. It's not that big but it's OK it's not smothering either. Love this place. It's nice and quiet with wifi so I can work while enjoying my delicious chicken salad.  There's also a patio in the back if I choose to puff on a cigar. I tried this place out while I studied for LSAT. It easily became a favorite and now pretty often in my first year of law school. It's quiet, cozy and the coffee is really good. We call it our office now, great food, Darrell's service is impeccable. We love K.D. As well. The black bean wrap is to die for, the grilled chicken salad is great as well. Came in on Saturday to have a quick bite with a buddy. Thank you for having more than one vegetarian option. Great service, quick and friendly and the bean wrap was so delicious and HUGE! !! There was a nice spicy sauce drizzled on top. My recommendation is to ask for more of this sauce or hot sauce and drizzle it on the inside. I was able to share without hesitation. I'll add a picture. This place is quiet, very friendly, and maintained very well. I don't think anyone quite expects the food to be as good as it is, but I've been there with several friends who all enjoy it. Their grilled cheese uses real cheese. The staff is pretty friendly, too, it's family owned and operated.The back patio is great, and come winter they have heaters, which is good for me because I hate sitting inside.The parking lot *looks* sketchy, but it's really not bad, I have been going here for a while, and nothing bad ever really happens to people's cars.The open mics on thursdays are a huge draw, I would definitely recommend it. I love the space and the concept was sorely needed for the area. I went on a pretty day and played checkers in the back. I wish I could say I won, but I didn't. It was a couple of months ago, so something may have changed, but when I went they could have benefited from a better wine list. I love it! This was our first time here. Very charming place serving coffee, wine, and food. I really liked the comfortable vibe inside with the library theme. The outdoor space is well done. Too many places just throw a few chairs and tables on a slab of concrete with no attempt to make it inviting. This is a spot you want to spend time in, with gazebo nooks, plants and fountains. I looking forward to sitting outside with a coffee or wine in the evenings. We received a very friendly greeting when we walked in, and we met Heather who told us she was the baker. I super enjoyed my experience here. The owners and the barista were really friendly. My sister and I were really tired upon arrival and in desperate need of lots of caffeine. Christian, the barista, basically just read us and our coffee needs. He offered to make us drip coffees with shots of espresso and some hazelnut and vanilla flavoring. It was perfect! And delicious. Loved it! I stopped in last Tuesday on m way to a class to get a bagel and a coffee. The decor is very attractive and the patio is amazing. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I ended up buying a chicken gumbo ( delicious) along with my bagel ( awesome) and my coffee ( pretty darn good). I'll definitely be opting for this as my regular study/work spot. I like this spot. I've been meaning to stop by the last few months, but just haven't had the time. The customer service was good, the prices are reasonable, and I'm glad to see something like this in Third Ward. They have plenty of outlets and free wifi, so that's always a plus. They serve wine and coffee, so there's something for everyone. The place is very clean and nicely decorated, and it's on a major street. So for those who are scared to come to the tre, there's no need to be scared. There's also plenty of parking, good a/c, and friendly people. Overall, I give this place 2 thumbs up. I hope they build a sizable following, so that they can survive the gentrification that's going on over here, because property taxes are only going up from here. More...
