The center has done some hard and ground breaking work . To achieve human rights , equality and dignity for ALL people. In a beautiful gesture . They have not only worked to help the LGBT community. They have done wonderful work in feeding and housing needy families, single mothers , children, the elderly and the homeless. I would have starved if not for the Center . I was one of the original board members for 'the Golden Rainbow Senior LGBT Center when it was one small room in Cathedral City and it makes me so proud of everyone to see how it's expanded into a wonderful, wonderful place. And you don't even have to be gay! Incredible organization which provides many programs for the LGBT community. It has grown over the past three years to serving over 3,000 people a month. Counseling programs, educational and social activities, a food bank, anti-bullying programs, outreach to the Hispanic community in the east valley, transgender outreach, a computer cafe, and so much more.
