Heading South on 95, we stopped for fuel in Quantico and saw the sign for The Lazy Pig - how could we resist? BBQ was delicious (the fat content of the pulled pork was perfect, it just melted on one's tongue). What I REALLY want to highlight though are the collards. HOLY MACKEREL! These are, far and away, the best greens I've ever been served from restaurant. They were seasoned so expertly that I needed no additional salt, pepper, or vinegar. Ordered lunch here today. Overall the meal was good. Grilled chicken sandwich was seasoned well and fresh; just needed mayo. Fried green tomatoes needed work though. Several had raw batter on them and were pretty raw. Probably needed a little longer Cooking time..Tea was perfect and so are the prices. I would eat there again; just would try something different. We have lived here for 2 1/2 years, originally from Alabama. We have searched for good BBQ the entire time we've been here.
Today we FINALLY found the best BBQ!
BBQ pork was my favorite, my husband liked the chicken & my kids loved the ribs. All the sides were fantastic!

Very good ribs. Nice smoke flavor, it's doesn't need sauce(I usually don't like ribs without sauce anyways). Love the coleslaw (which has horseradish in it), it's very good, tangy, and different without being strange.
As for the mac&cheese, I swear that they grill or smoke it as well, as everything has that nice smoke flavor.
I didn't try this place until it was in Triangle, I'm kind of kicking myself for not trying it earlier.
I can't wait to try the burnt ends.

We can't say enough good things about Lazy Pig! We had them cater our wedding, and we couldn't have asked for better service.
Ken and his staff were extremely accommodating, and many of our guests approached us to compliment the delicious food and exceptional waitstaff.
They really went above and beyond, and the food was outstanding to boot. I have a freezer full of leftovers, and couldn't be happier! Also, their rib tips are amazing. No regrets, would eat there every day if I could.

Been looking for some good BBQ for a few years, came across this place by accident but the reviews were good and I couldn't be happier. I got the sampler to try a little bit of everything. Brisket was moist and tender and had a nice smoke flavor but not overpowering the meat. Pulled pork was spot on also, took the BBQ sauce well again without overpowering the flavor. But the ribs were my favorite by far, fall off the bone tender and full of flavor, hit em with a little sauce and it was over. Seems this area likes to smoke their meat to point they taste burned and dried out. Glad this place is different. I will be coming back. 1st time there, and the food is fabulous!!! Got 2 pulled pork sandwiches and a small side of greens. They're not skimpy on the amount of meat on the sandwiches (two thumbs up! !!) and the greens.
