Our family of 5 adults had a great stay at Lasalle. Occupied a queen room with an adjoining queen suite. Please of room for all of us. A hotel with lots of character and style. Walking into the lobby later into the evening reminded me of New Orleans. Live piano music and many patrons enjoying a few drinks. More...

We loved the vibe of this place, and I really wish I could give it a higher review. But Sunday brunch at the Downtown Elixer left us very disappointed in the service. They were busy, but we had a full 30 minutes where we were actively ignored by every member of the wait staff as we were trying to get their attention. I think what caused it was that I had asked our server if the full cocktail menu was available, she said it was, and I requested a drink on the menu that is apparently not one they like to make. The person who ended up making it was actively giving me dirty looks while shaking my drink, and when I tried to joke with him when he brought it over, he was having none of it. After finishing one, I still thought they werent serious about not wanting to make it, and asked my server for another. I was met with an incredulous Are you kidding? and told that Id have to wait 45 minutes for that drink. I changed to a mimosa, and thats when we started being ignored. I had been planning on leaving a hefty tip, knowing the servers were busy and working hard, but being actively ignored for 30 minutes changed that. Until this experience, we had been planning on returning. Not anymore. More...

I have stayed here three times and each room has been well-appointed with a great view (as great as views get in BCS) because it is the tallest building around. Staff have been very professional and the cafe breakfast has been good. My beds have all been firm and comfortable. The surrounding old-town Bryan has numerous venues for food and drink. More...

The check in was quick and effortless. My room #702 was at the top floor and it was perfect just for me. It was clean and looked out over the town. The only drawback to the hotel is that you can hear the train early in the morning. It didn’t really bother me, but it might some: stayed Friday and Saturday night. Great bartenders and the food was also good. I really enjoyed it. I will come again. More...

My friend and I stayed at this hotel to attend a Bama game at Texas A&M. If you’re looking for something brand new and modern, this is not your place. But if you like a a comfortable, unique experience with a charming New Orleans type of feel, this is your spot. We walked in to find a Voltar machine in the front lobby. Very interesting and cool. To the right is a bar and restaurant with a Louisiana/New Orleans type menu. They had a drink menu like I’ve never seen. The cocktails are incredible. All the juice used is freshly squeezed. They even make their own tonic—which was delicious. We sat at the bar amazed and entertained by the very skilled and hilarious bartenders. I had a delicious cup of gumbo and some crab cakes served over a Cajun slaw.||Our room was the two queen bedroom. I didn’t know this, but each bed was in a separate room. I was in the main bedroom close to the bathroom, but my friend had her own sink with vanity in her room. The beds are super comfortable. Your room comes with a nice robe, and nice quality soaps and shampoos. In some of the reviews I read, some people complained about the train constantly coming by or bothering them at night. I did hear the train, but it wasn’t constant and didn’t keep me awake at night. They do offer ear plugs at the front desk. ||There is a fabulous speak easy bar with awesome live music in the basement. They have the same great drinks you can get upstairs. The restaurant did not serve breakfast on Saturday, but there’s a wonderful breakfast place right across the street called 3rd on Main. We had a fabulous veggie bowl with eggs, cheese avocado and mushrooms. It was served with homemade tortillas and salsa. They also had several types of mimosas. Very friendly place. ||The hotel was a quick Lyft ride to the stadium. ||They did serve brunch on Sunday in the restaurant, which was delicious. I had the Southern Plate, which was stone ground cheese grits with a fried egg, sausage, green onions—delicious. ||I would definitely stay here again. I loved the area and the experience! || More...

Had know idea in the heart of downtown Bryan, Tx you could be treated like a king. The hotel stands on its own. But the hospitality side of food and beverage needs to be shouted at the top of the rafters. You are handled personally by the most educated food and beverage staff I have not seen in years. Homemade Tonic for my Gin, give me a break. It changed everything. Then you will notice that every cocktail ingredient was hand made in the kitchen hours earlier. I mean everything. I arrived early enough to barely hear the owner give a jump start speech about the amazing history of rum, that included America, I never even knew. As the staff prepared the chef came out to greet us. A well traveled storied professional who engaged us on our likes. And provided small samples to back up his stake as a professional. Walking outside into the classic city of Bryan was simply time transportation into a beautiful time in the life of Americana. There are secrets to this destination that went on in the night, butcyou have to discover those on your own. I will say, it was an incredible discovery. More...
