The Joint is a pretty cool and unique BBQ joint not too far away from the action. We were not sure where to eat and ended up here based of Yelp reviews. To be quite honest, it is a little pricey, the portions are not big, but the food is surely delicious and of quality. Nothing here blew my mind. I was a bit sad that they only had one flavor of BBQ sauces, most BBQ joints have different sauces to choose from. Regardless, the food was still delicious, the BBQ was cooked the right way. Their Key Lime Pie appeared to be homemade and was insanely delicious. The mac & cheese was not too flavorful and seemed rather dry.If you are in the area and are tired of eating cajun food, come here. It is your normal BBQ joint. Authentic and well cooked BBQ. Amazing BBQ! Worth the short journey from the french Quarter so definitely check it out. I'm usually not a fan of brisket but this was the best brisket I've ever had. The ribs were also excellent and great mac n cheese and potato salad too. The service was excellent. Nice place really chill staff was friendly. The beef brisket was cooked just right. The mac and cheese is made from scratch I dont know how they made the cheese but it was really good and the baked beans were amazing as well.

The food was good and this place is really fun. We were sitting outside on the patio and it started to rain really hard. The rain coming down on the tin roof was lots of fun and made the entire experience a total 5 star night. Everything was yummy and for the most part the service was great. There was a lady that was really rude, we heard another table taking about the lady and we too were talking about the lady. She was super rude but still all and all we had a great time. This was my first trip to New Orleans, but my wife had been here several times in years past and insisted The Joint was a "have to" while we were in town. Â She says the neighborhood has changed a little, but the food is still amazing and I have to agree with her on that. Â I had a sampler plate of ribs, sausage and brisket and all were fantastic. Â Tender, smoky, mouthwatering goodness, with coleslaw that was a perfect offset. Â We visited on an early Monday evening and the place was very busy. Had the 3 meat combo tonight. The brisket was probably the best i ever had. The smoked ssusage was as good as it gets .. .. nice hear! Chicken was ok. I've had The Joint on my restaurant wish list ever since seeing the restaurant featured on DDD. I finally got the chance to visit on a recent trip to New Orleans. I ordered the Beef Brisket with Baked Beans and Mac & Cheese per the recommendation of the cashier. It did not disappoint. The brisket was smoky and tender with a nice amount of fattiness and delicious charred edges. The baked beans were spiced and savory and filled with chunks of tender pork. If you really want good tasting BBQ with a bit of a spice, then The Joint is the best place in town. I had the half rack ribs that were so cooked to perfection that they fell off the bone and she had the beef brisket that was also cooked to perfection. If you eat it as it comes out of the kitchen it might taste a little underwhelming, but once you add their signature barbecue sauce, the flavors come bursting out. I haven't had BBQ food in awhile and coming here made me miss eating it. The closes BBQ place that kinda enjoyed was famous Dave's or Armadillo willys out here in the Bay Area. However their food here was amazing. They were all out of the ribs but I did have their bbq chicken, brisket , Mac and cheese, and baked beans. It was a lot of food but I enjoyed it very much. The meat was so tender and good. The Mac and cheese was ok but I still enjoyed it. It seems like a cool hipster place in Louisiana. Probly  thirty times I've eaten here and not once a bad experience. BBQ is Smokey, seasoned and perfectly juicy. But I will scream it from the mountains their salad dressing is amazing.
