TONIGHT ON THE WAY BACK FROM THE NORTH SHORE Zi WAS IN SEARCH OF A ROAST BEEF POORBOY. sINCE THIS PANDEMIC STARTED i HAD ONLY EATEN OUT ONE OTHER TIME. WE RODE BY SAMMY'S , PARRANS AMD BEARS ON VETS THEY WERE ALL CLOSED. HAD WE BEEN EARLIER I WOULD HAVE GONE TO WORLD DELI. WE ENDED UP AT THE DRIVE THRU OF THIS PLACE. THE POORBOY WAS REALLY GOOD!IT COST A LITTLE MORE THAN THE WD AROUND THE CORNER.I ALSO GOT FIRES AND A ROOTBEER!( BARQ'S IN A BOTTLE ..YUM THE BANANA'S FOSTER BREAD PUDDING WAS omg GOOD!! tHE YOUNG LADY AT THE WINDOW WAS SWEET AND INFORMATIVE.ALTHOUGH A PRICIER THAN MOST POORBOY SHOPS,WHEN YOU READ THE STORY OF THIS NON-PROFIT RESTAURANT IT IS WORTH THE LITTLE EXTRA. I have never written a review for a restaurant so this is a first but I feel like this is such a disappointment. I ordered 2 fish and shrimp platters and a spicy chicken sandwich. The platter came with 6 shrimp and 3 “nuggets” of fish. The nuggets maybe made up a small piece of fish. The fish was very fishy and not good at all. The shrimp weren’t bad but for $17 I feel like you should get a little more than 6 small shrimp. The fries were so soggy they were barely edible. This was a to-go order so that may be expected if it’s sitting there but we picked it up as soon as it was ready. The website says free local delivery. They have a sign outside the restaurant saying that as well and it’s posted all over Facebook. When I called to order, they don’t do that on the weekends; that’s not what it says online. For a new restaurant, this is a huge fail and we won’t be ordering from here again. Save your money and order from somewhere better More...

The shrimp poboy was great and the mac-and-cheese was AMAZING!! I definitely recommend this place. The staff was so sweet and helpful with the takeout, even through these challenging times with covid-19 changing the way we live.

The food is fantastic. The roast beef po-boy, shrimp po-boy and French fry po-boy (not on the menu but made to order) and the French fries were incredibly delicious. The customer service was amazing. We had shrimp and okra gumbo, red beans and the fried shrimp platter. Everything was fabulous. The fried shrimp are my new favorite fried shrimp in the city. Phenomenal!
