The Grill is my favorite dining spot in Beaumont. The food is excellent. The atmosphere is way cool. Josh in the cocktail lounge is on his job. The entire place reminds me of Southern California. Chill and layer back. The food, deserts, and drinks top shelf. Tonight was a bust. The bartender was so-so at best. The country music was depressing, especially for New Years Eve. I left early. Absolutely amazing! We had the Tuna Tower, a filet with lobster, and blackened ribeye topped with Pontchartrain sauce. The med rare was perfectly cooked on both. I really can't say enough about the quality of our dishes plus the presentation is impeccable. The Perfect Margarita for me and a seasonal IPA for my husband topped it off perfectly. The appetizer special for the day, poke, is a Hawaiian version of seared ahi tuna and is extremely delicious. Then I got the Blackened Tilapia Pontchatrain which was divine and had one of the best sauces I've ever had with two shrimp, lump crab, and some mushrooms on top. We visited this establishment for a special occasion and we were extremely happy with everything. The food was superb the service was outstanding and our server was very knowledgeable about all of the offerings. The atmosphere was just right. The Rack of Lamb was amazing and the wait staff was right on and very polite. Excellent place to go for an elegant evening. Although there was this couple who sat outside (just the other side of our window) the man took off his shoes and propped his bare feet in the next chair. Thank goodness there was glass between us and my view was the other direction. No fault of this restaurant but maybe the wait staff should keep an eye out for such things like that so they can keep the restaurant at a higher quality than fast food eat-in. More...
