Just relocated because of employment and tried this restaurant our first night while waiting for Peco and Verizon to start service. Food was the best we have had in I can’t tell you how long. The soup and salads filled us alone. Our meals came and we struggled to finish they were so large. The portions are giant and the prices very , very reasonable . The place is not what we had expected, it is beautiful and very cozy as my wife said. What a great find . The service was outstanding and the food came out very quick. The bartender Joe was great , very friendly and told us that the place does bands and karaoke after dinners . Think we found our new place already . I'm a big believer of first impressions. It goes to show that one should not judge a book by its cover. Other then the bar possibly using some aesthetic face lifts (it is a pub after all) It was a great experience. I had the Pork and my husband had the Marsala  (both specials) and they were both fantastic. The service was excellent as well. Our sever was very attentive and friendly. This was the first time coming to the Great American Pub for both myself and my wife.  Draft menu was quite extensive and they also offered many cold bottles.  Bartenders were a little busy considering the number of thirsty patrons but I was pleased when our wait was rewarded with drink chips... that is solid customer service.Food came out hot and delicious.  Wife got the salmon flatbread with arugula and balsamic glaze.  She absolutely loved it, that dish isn't even in my wheelhouse but I really enjoyed it at well.  Although many items on the menu peaked my interest: 1/2 sandwich and soup; many burgers; loads of the appetizers, & some of the salads.  I opted for the burger, cooked just how I ordered it and very filling - great flavor!  I know my wife and I will be back!This place feels like the real life iteration of Cheers, only wish I was a local - call my Norm. Best pub in the little downtown of Narberth. Their Sweet Potato fries and sauce are top notch. Burgers are quite delicious and a pretty decent sized beer list. Menu prices are average and reasonable. Just needed to give a shout out to Tom the manager at GAP.  My wife and I were walking our dog through Narberth this morning looking for a place to have coffee outside.  Not only did they serve us coffee two hours before they were supposed to open, they also refused to charge us for it.  What great service.  We've always enjoyed our time there in the past, but this was well above and beyond. You can always count on a nice burger or sandwich at Great American Pub.. Whew! I had a special of baked gnucci with cream sauce and I still dream about it. Been there a few times but its rather far away but whenever I visit my sister we end up here for good food a few drinks. They do a chicken cutlet that reminds me of eating at my grandmothers when I was young- wonderful memories. Makes me drool just thinking bout those dishes :) More...

I guess some of these reviews are kind of old. I have a great experience there every time I go. The food is excellent in my opinion. The specials they have do repeat, but you will never hear me complain, they are great. I love the steak. Beer selection is excellent, they just added a new cooler with like 20 new beers. The bartenders and waitresses are always attentive to me and are always nice.Also, this is NOT, I repeat NOT a chain. It is a local owned business, I asked. I met the owner and he is equally as nice. Thursdays they have an open mic night and sometimes trivia. They have bands sometimes and karaoke on every other saturday. I say check it out for yourself, some things do change and some things I am glad haven't. But for me, I am glad this place is here. Also, most of the other patrons are very nice. I have made several good friends there.As for being rowdy, I have not ever seen it rowdy. Loud and lots of fun yes, but never in a bad way. More...

You've got 3 bars to choose from in downtown Narberth, and one point of this triangle, the Great American Pub, will deliver an enjoyable eating and drinking experience. It is probably the most family friendly of he three, but after about 9 p.m. things do get pretty rowdy. You'll find a good selection of craft beer, including some pretty out there selections. I tried a wheat beer called 312 from Chicago and it was fantastic! The taps change all the time, so don't expect to find that one esoteric beer you were lucky enough to get. Food is also satisfying, but eater beware: their sandwiches come with chips and not fries. This is a minor complaint, but it is very upsetting if you are not used to it. I haven't tried them, but there is a good selection of seafood items. Overall, you will enjoy your timeSpent at the great American pub. They've also got live music and quizzo nights if you are looking for a break from the ordinary bar scene. More...

Once one of my favorites in food quality and value since I'm local.  But the quality of food has moved south over the last few years.  Large beer selection.  Lots of local color.  Lots of TVs showing various sports events, especially if Philly teams are good.  Don't sit near the door if it's cold outside.  Outside seating is great but limited in season.
