Awesome food and great atmosphere! The garden is beautiful and has so many options for outdoor seating. We ate on the covered patio area where they had fans and misters that kept us cool and makes such a huge difference in the summer. The pizza is SO good, I have come here and gotten the diavola twice because it is one of the best pizzas I've ever ordered. The cocktails are top notch and the staff is so friendly and welcoming every time. We will definitely be back for live music nights and happy hour as well as trying out their brunch menu with mimosa flights! More...

I think the Garden and the restaurant have two different menus and we have never eaten inside, so this review is for the outside Garden menu. We ate outside and really enjoyed it, and we are foodies. They were busy but the server was quick. We had a smaller meal of wine, mussels, brussels and split a Verdina pizza. I've been craving that pizza ever since - nice and cheesy with a thin crispy crust and just enough truffle oil sauce. The wine selection was good as well. It's been a while since we've been back but we're taking my parents there tonight again and hope to explore more of the menu. More...

We were treated to an early dinner by our friends the other night at this attractive restaurant. Sadly my food was not very good. Caesar salad was a sautéed quarter of romaine lettuce with small gobs of a dressing that resembled mayonnaise and croutons that weren’t even kitchen made. Underwhelming! Next course was their linguine with cockles! Normally I love this dish….elsewhere, but not here. It even had bits of shell in my two bites I took! The glasses of wine were delicious as were our delightful friends who should NOT HAVE PAID the expensive price for “wanna be a chef” food. The air conditioning was even broken! Good Grief! I’ve waited several days so I could really think about if I wanted to post our experience. Last Wednesday our party of 5 were very excited to finally try Ellera. I can not in good faith recommend. Lobster Bisque was brown not rose colored… more like a roux and maybe 3 small pieces of lobster meat; Linquini with cockles… 6 cockles and barely any sauce; Cesar salad… 3 ribs of romaine that was grilled and so tough no one in our party could eat most of it. Now my husband’s roasted chicken was delicious. 30 minutes into our evening it became Very hot and we asked if the air could be turned up cooler and were told the a/c was out!!!! Miserably… did not even stay for dessert or after dinner cocktails…. $400 later….. sorry can’t recommend. More...

This place is absolutely amazing!! The staff warmly greets you at the entrance of their beautiful outdoor dining which includes large picnic tables draped with tall trees that hang above for shade along with a covered patio, making for a very aesthetic dining experience. While dining here I also got to enjoy some awesome live music which they host on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sunday brunch!! If you're in the mood to feel like your dining in a small restaurant by a vineyard in Italy, this is the closet thing to it. With the outdoor scenery and the amazing food, you'll feel like your living the dream!! If you're thinking about bringing you're kids they have fun family games like bean bag toss and connect four for you to play with. The staff here is one of the best I've come across and you can tell they genuinely care about all of their guests and strive to make this a memorable dining experience for all!! Over all this is a extraordinary place and I will be coming back soon!! More...

This is merely a 3-star restaurant dressing up as a 4-star restaurant. While the setting's aesthetics are quite nice, the outdoor dining tables are packed together and if you're unlucky enough to be there while it's busy, socially unaware strangers will be hovering over your meal while you eat. They need to space the tables out so customers have some room to breathe! Moving forward, the food is horribly overpriced and salty, salty, salty. I've eaten at countless gourmet restaurants that don't even charge this much for what you are being given in return. $14 for a plate of brussels sprouts (the appropriate price for the quality should be $8), and then $14 for a single crab cake (appropriate price $9), but then $35 for a STALE lobster roll... need I say more. Don't even get me started on the overpriced and sodafied cocktails that barely have a pinch of alcohol in them. Our bill for 4 people was $300+ for a simple Wednesday night dinner, and the service wasn't even good either since we had to ask our waiter for water more than twice. Lastly, they have live music which is nice *except they leave the indoor music playing over the speakers outside while the band is playing so you get to listen to live country music in one ear and then electronic house music in the other, we hated it. And there were flies *everywhere* they need to get a glue trap or something. More...

Coming off an odd, bad experience at this restaurant and don't even know where to start. The service we received was awful.  Even after we were seated by a host (who we told we had a reservation), our server aggressively asked if we had a reservation (while we were already seated and many tables were empty).  At first our server-- whose mask hung below their nose the entire time-- was very cold and agitated with us.  They didn't welcome us or walk us through how to order. We had to ask about the menu  (there was no code at our table to scan, they pulled it out of their pocket after we had to inquire ourselves).  It seemed like every question or request we had was a problem or inconvenience.  I regret that we didn't get up and leave right then.  A pizza we ordered didn't come out for over half an hour, but our server assured us it was coming.  We kept waiting and kept being told it would be right out; eventually they acknowledged it might have gone to the wrong table.  After a while, a manager came out (without a pizza) and said they would send another pizza right out and not charge us.  I said we'll just take our check, but he assured us it wouldn't be long. We waited over half hour AGAIN and the pizza still didn't come.  Spoiler alert-- we've left the restaurant and I'm still waiting for that pizza.... No one even came to make sure we received it. We just decided to leave without our pizza because everyone else had finished their food over an hour earlier.  Before leaving the restaurant, I found the manager... he just said he didn't know what happened with the pizza, but just reminded me he had taken it off the bill anyway. Nothing else. We waited soooo long for that pizza-- over an hour extra-- because of his assurance, and he didn't seem to care at all.  It was frustrating for everyone in our group, and I left hungry without my pizza. The prices here are outrageous for the quality of food. The lobster roll was $39.... which is crazy regardless, but especially given that it wasn't good. The lobster was chewy and under seasoned, the bread was nothing special-- I don't even think it was warm; it didn't come with accompaniments like pickles or chips.  The fritto misto was sparse for the price; the calamari was tough, flavor of the batter was okay. Their potatoes, mozzarella sandwich, and Caesar salad were all just okay. They list some special sodas and nonalcoholic beverages on their website menu (which as a non drinking family was one of the reasons we went), but they don't actually carry them. Lunch for five people (with two people sharing one dish, and my pizza being taken off) came to $190 with tip, for mediocre food and awful service on picnic benches.  At that price point your food and service need to be excellent, and both were far from it. Our visit upset all of us and ruined our day. The seating was nice, and the breeze outside was the best part.  Save your money and go to a park to enjoy the weather. Not sure how this is four stars on Yelp given all the two stars-- do yourself a favor and scroll thru the reviews, seems like a lot of people had the same issues. I was completely underwhelmed by this place. We were a party of three and didn't have a complicated order. My biggest complaint was timing. Our three drinks came out at different times (kid's lemonade came last). My husband's pasta was the first entree to be served. He was almost finished with it when the appetizer (crispy potatoes) came out. Then my pizza came out a few minutes later. My daughter's kids pepperoni pizza came out last. The crispy potatoes were all different temperatures (some hot and crispy and others were cold and soggy). We ordered the cheesecake for dessert. It tasted frozen. When it was time to pay our bill our waiter told us our total without giving us or showing us an itemized bill. Disappointed. More...

We've started visiting more places in Bee Caves as they're a little less militant on COVID than Austin restaurants. Great start with a very tasty (read "heavy pour") Bloody Mary! Good wine and beer selection. The crab cake is THE BEST EVER! Bruschetta, calamari, and pizza were all very tasty. Good tiramisu. Attentive service and live music. Plenty of outdoor seating (didn't venture inside). Menu didn't match what's online and food delivery to the table was a little disjointed, but otherwise great experience. Solid four stars. Came here with a friend for lunch and sat outside as it was a beautiful day. We split the mushroom panini and the Caesar salad. Wow, what a disappointment. The panini came out and was not toasted or grilled at all. The bread portion looked like it came from a low end restaurant food supplier. It had no flavor and was soggy. The inside had mushrooms, carmelized onion and fontina cheese. The cook over salted the mushrooms because with the cheese already being salty it was salt overload. And with the floppy soft bread, the whole thing fell apart when you picked it up. The Caesar salad had to be one of the worst Caesar's I've had. It was so dry and flavorless. It had restaurant supply croutons (please restaurants make your own, it's so easy) and Parmesan cheese shredded so fine you could hardly see it much less taste it. Lastly my friend and I wanted to visit after our meal and sat there for close to an hour and no one cleared any of the plates. The waitress and busers walked past us multiple times. Wouldn't you think they would know to clear the plates? I guess after paying and getting her tip the waitress was done with us. On a positive note, the grounds are beautiful I especially love the tree swings. All in all I wouldn't eat a meal here but would come for a drink and an appetizer and enjoy the pretty surroundings. -The Garden at Ellera is off to a decent start with suggestions in the spirit of improvement. The Good:- Close to a growing residential area in need of new dining options. Plenty of outdoors seating. Fabulous for kids to run around.- I loved the thinner crust pizza they offer by default. The only ONE vegetarian pizza on the menu was good.- Their minestrone soup was great so praying it won't go off the menu anytime soon.- Decent beer collection decent pricing, lots of wine but quite pricey!- Good seafood/meat options.Needs Quick Attention:- Please improve your cocktails. Unimpressed with their limited cocktail menu. VERY WATERED DOWN and some cocktails came out a bit too syrupy.- Please up-level menu variety/quality. VERY, very, very limited vegetarian options. Only ONE vegetarian pizza option and they quickly ran out of brussels sprouts in the appetizers. Most of their dishes are pre made with bacon or meat already in them. Had to resort of fried cheese and fried potato.  Even otherwise their menu is too carb-y overall. Tough to make it a regular place to visit if it remains heavy on starch!- Pricey for the offerings/ambience. To attract regular, predictable business from residences, please evaluate price to offers. Currently downtown pricing for residential dining doesn't go well long term. More...

I had really high hopes for this restaurant. It's in a great location, has room for the kids to run around outside while you eat under the large oak trees, and serves wine, what more could two parents want for a dinner out? Prompt service from someone who seems like they don't hate life and not overpaying for food, that's what. At one point it took 15 minutes to get a glass of wine and we just kept hearing that it's "on its way"....Let's move on to the food. It was meh. I would like to see a little more variety on the menu but I obviously decided to eat here regardless so it is what it is. I had the caprese sandwich and added prosciutto; it could've used a little salt on the mozzarella but I'd order it again if I came back. However, my kids had pizza and neither of them liked it. I was like "come on guys, it's pizza.." tried it, didn't like it so I ordered them chicken tenders and fruit. Let it be known that none of the dishes come with sides. NBD in most situations. However, when you order fruit that's $6, knowing it's not a side, and then it comes out with a handful of fruit...wtf? I mean, $6 for like 3 strawberries, a few blueberries, and some grapes. Chicken tenders; not even the equivalent of a whole chicken breast: $8. Come on folks. Oh yeah, and the 6 oz kids lemonade is $4. Between the ridiculously overpriced food and server that legitimately seemed like he wanted to be anywhere else but here, it'll be a while before we come back. More...
