Ordered the steak taco meal with no pico on the tacos. I was charged for 2 steak taco meals. (I should have noticed after paying that I was paying for something I didn't order, so that's my bad). .. but then all the tacos had tomatoes, and I'm allergic to raw tomatoes! Our first time here. My husband had the Mahi Mahi plate and it was delicious. I had the Ensenada style fish tacos  they were okay I would change the yellow corn tortilla to the regular it will taste way better(I'm from Ensenada) food it's good. Definitely we will come back.

I was in the area running an errand. Next thing I know I'm a starvin Marvin. My wife yelped for nearby places.. this place came up. I'll admit, I was hesitant... fish in the desert sounded like an unnecessary risk. Fortunately, it was the right choice. We had the shrimp ceviche along with 4 different tacos to share and taste. Visiting a friend in Hesperia, he chose the spot, I searched the menu prior to arrival and saw that the nachos might be the safest choice. Parking is plentiful, so we're off to a good start. It was Monday, and on the the tv was NFL Monday Night Football so plenty of people cheering and enjoying themselves. We were seated by a server, tables were clean took a min to get our drink order which was fine I had to remember things move slower in this part of town. Our super cute, friendly and amazing server Noelle asked the right questions and offered suggestions. I got the nachos and he settled for the shrimp plate. When the food arrived I was not impressed. My food was cold and overly salted, the cheese was sparse and not melted. So I requested more cheese, the kitchen staff literally just threw a handful of cheese on my plate and thought it was ok. I wasn't going to send my meal back a 2nd time especially if they didn't get it correct the first time I didn't eat much of my dinner I picked at it (see picture). My friend didn't care for his shrimp platter either.If you live in Hesperia and are used to the level of food served in the area I say there's nothing wrong with this place BUT if you're like me who lives in LA and has access to Bavel or similar stay away from this place. Used to be top notch and the go to place for drinks, fish tacos and surf & turf fries but ever since they changed from ordering your food at the counter to a restaurant  style setting everything went downhill, the last 4 times we have come the food was cold, now recently tonight we came and it was busy granted it being a Tuesday so we walked in no families in front of ours or waiting and we were greeted by a server at the front and said she would clean a booth for us, we waited as 3 other families walked in behind us and 2 waited while 1 went around and looked for seating, we waited 20 minutes while 2 tables sat dirty while 4 different waitresses asked us "how many in your party" but didn't know what the other servers were doing, a random server grabbed the 3rd family cause they went around and stood by a dirty table and when that server came back and asked us for the 2nd time "how many" I said "that table was supposed to be cleaned by 2 different servers and for us to sit at, to which she replied " well I was told they came in first and too late and we can wait for a clean table" so we left, the service used to be proper and fast and now it seems the servers don't communicate and can't handle it being slightly busy. Shame to experience as the galley used to good and a great experience but the past couple times have really burned me and the couples we go with usually, shame but I doubt we will be going back again. I've been to the Galley Fish Tacos in Victorville a few times pre COVID-19. I always get their Shrimp Burrito which is just delicious and huge in size. Today I decided to swing on by to get my long lost Shrimp Burrito LOL plus a couple tacos (Ensenada Style and Blackened Fish) plus a virgin Raspberry Mojito. Let's get to it...1. Shrimp Burrito - Love it! It had lots of scrumptious shrimps, rice, beans, cabbage, cilantro, etc. Huge in size... actually, good for two meals. It didn't last me two meals though... I took it + 2 tacos down like they were nothing... can you tell I was hungry? LOL.2. Ensenada Style Taco - A big chunk of fried fish, but it didn't have any flavor to the fish or batter and it had too much sauce. Sauce was good though... it had that thousand island-like flavor.3. Blackened Fish Taco - I was hoping to really like this one. It was good, but it didn't hit the spot entirely. Fish lacked flavor. Just realized it's cod fish... no wonder there's not much flavor. Sauce was good, too.4. Virgin Raspberry Mojito - Very good and refreshing! Just the right amount of sweetness. Love the raspberry + minty flavor!Staff was very friendly and helpful. The lady who took my order gave me some recommendations. Prices were decent overall. Also they charged me half price for the mojito drink because I didn't want the rum alcohol. I know some restaurants still charge virgin drinks at the same price as non-virgin drinks regardless.I noticed none of the staff wore masks though HMMM. Is there something I'm not aware of? I have been supporting this business since they opened. The food is always fresh and tastes great. Today's order was a 2 fish taco plate with rice and beans and an order of surf n turf fries. I asked for 4 salsa.... Just like I always do. Now there's a charge? Do I get any with my order? I was told I get ONE. Look, I get it...COVID has causes the rise in prices of everything. But ONE salsa for all this food? Ok no big deal.... How much? $2.95 for a container which is probably the equivalent of a dozen of the little cups. Fine. One of the better Mexican restaurants with good fish in the High Desert! I've been here numerous times and the food almost always tastes good. I would say the Ensenada Style Taco, Fish and Chips, and Surf and Turf fries are my go to things to order here. If you get the Fish and Chips, make sure to get extra tartar sauce because it's some of the best tartar sauce I've had! Also, the Churros are really good as well, especially with the condensed milk dipping sauce! The interior aesthetic of the place is pretty nice and welcoming too, and the service is usually pretty good as well! Over all  my experience could have been better.  With my first night I found hair wrapped around the lettuce of my taco. The waitress was amazing and fixed my order.   It was our second night that was the problem. A friend and I ordered margaritas. We were not able to taste any alcohol in our drinks. Our waitress brought the bartender to our table to verify they were made correctly then offered us an additional shot.   We suggested having another drink made.  After our meal we were charged for the $6 drinks plus $7 for the additional shots for them.  We expressed that their were no communication that a charge would be added. This used to be my husband's and my favorite place to go when they first opened. You used to be able to go in, pick your favorite seating spot and enjoy oldies. The food used to be plentiful and fantastic at a reasonable price. Now, you have to be seated to be waited on and listen to horrible music that's so loud it'll make your ears bleed. The place is small so the waitresses trip over each other. The food taste and quality has also gone down hill, but the prices have gone up. I placed a to go order last night and waited for about 30 minutes when I realized people who ordered after me were getting their food. I went to the register to check and was told they didn't know I was there even though I placed the order in person. I finally got my cold food only to discover they put sauce on the tacos which I asked them not to do and gave me the wrong salsa. I took my food back in and explained the mistake. They "resolved" it by wiping the sauce off the shrimp. Then one of the waitresses shoved the plate in my face asking if it was good enough. I explained there's still sauce on the food as well as being smeared all over the to-go box. They took it back again, wiped the shrimp down again and then put sauce on the tortilla under the shrimp. They also made sure to put sauce on my steak tacos when they had my food back there. The steak was chopped so small it was practically ground beef with no flavor and the shrimp tacos had three super small shrimp on each tortilla. Completely unprofessional and reprehensible. I had the pleasure of stumbling into this place. The food was amazing and the mojits were just as amazing. I'm a native of Tucson AZ  just 80 miles from the border so to say my options of mexican food is endless is exaggerated. I ordered the birra steak it was truly delicious and my wife ordered the  garlic butter shrimp so good. The cook on the steak and shrimp perfect. I highly recommend this place. Tried the galley for the first time and I'm am proud to say I'm not coming back... the food was not satisfactory by any means. .. dry spongy fish that tastes like it's frozen... over cooked fries... I ordered asada fries and it has half a scoop of meant and barely any cheese... So normally my family and i dine in for their street taco Tuesday special, Today there is a laker game so my partner wanted Galleys so i thought I'd just order for delivery. The tacos online aren't the taco Tuesday price so i called to inquire about ordering over the phone so i can just picked it up after work, i call and a young lady answers and as soon as i mention i want the taco Tuesday special and that ordering for delivery doesn't offer the same price, can i order over the phone.. she hangs up on me. I called back literally 6 times within 40 mins(maybe they are busy) they didn't 2 times it was as if someone answered but didn't speak, 4 times it went to an answering service. Horrible experience. Ok to start they got my order wrong... (one shrimp Burrito ) after talking to the manager she still seams confuses but reorder me a new one. I asked for my recipe  ( 5 times ) and after 10 min still no recipe.... not sure what the issue was. this is what you get for $13.43 ( to be fair I ordered without rice and beans ) I am told 15 min until they make me a new burrito at lease they are trying to make it right. tic toc  40 min later got the recipe. This place has really good plates and tacos, definitely fresh, and you get your food pretty quick, we usually get we beers now because the drinks are never consistent, some days stronger some days they aren't shaken enough I guess it just depends on the bartender. Appetizers are actually a really great size to share with someone and the guacamole is bomb! 3/27/2021 12pm Of course we get the worse service when I took my husband. He said he'd never go back and I don't blame him. First, when we walked in we went to the register and the employees were talking behind the counter. I didn't know what was happening. When I asked for a menu that's when one of the girls asked how many were in our party. She sat us at a table and it felt a while before we got our drinks. A different server came by the bar area and had to stand there to ask the other girl who the food belonged to and that felt weird especially when it looked like she was going to give it to 2 guys that just sat down. Same happened with my SMALL basket of chips and salsa I purchased. My tacos came cold and my husband got a $16 shrimp plate with no chips. Just a few shrimps scattered around the plate. I had to walk up to the counter to ask for chips and they never came. We had to flag down the manager and by the time she brought the chips, my husband was finished with his shrimp. Also, while we were eating, we noticed the couple near us didn't look happy when they were talking to the manager and they didn't even eat their food and they walked out. Another situation, a lady walked up to two guys at the bar preaching the bible loudly with no mask. One of the guys had to tell her she was too close.
