Love, love, love Una!  We had a destination wedding and I did my research to contact local florists in the Malibu area.  Most of them were so expensive and doesn't seem to have what I was looking for my budget.  Then my friend recommended Una.  I immediately contacted her and she was so responsive, agreed to do a skype appointment and when I showed her my Pinterest account, she immediately knew what I was looking for, she got to work right away and suggested a few more to fit into my budget.  Oh boy, did I do a good job in finding her.  When I told the venue who I hired as a florist, they immediately said, WE LOVE UNA!  I knew I was in great hands if local venues knew her and her excellent work!  She is so easy to work with, very down to earth and works with any budget and makes it look like it costs more.  She has a great eye for beauty and class.  The arrangements she made for us is very elegant and classy.  I love everything from the hanging candles, to the glass chandelier and my husband's black and white boutonniere.  Very chic indeed!  She treated us like family and that's the best thing you could ask for. I simply cannot day enough wonderful things about my experience working with Una and The Flower Lab. From start to finish Una was a dream to work with. She helped me with my vision for my wedding and also helped bring things to an entirely new level - in a way that only made my ideas flourish (literally). The flowers at our wedding were exquisite. Una is truly one of the most talented florist I have ever seen! She was able to make my wildest wedding dreams and "enchanted (but yet elegant) forest" vision come true. When we first saw how her arrangement fit with the whole Birchwood venue, we gasped at the beauty of it all. It was ten times better than what I had ever envisioned. My bridal bouquet (as well as my bridesmaids' bouquet) almost made me cry out with joy.The wedding arch was so beautiful and everything I wanted. Una, I cannot say enough about the beautiful florals you designed and hand-crafted. They were an ethereal addition to the the most special day of our lives. Our mother's loved their individual pieces and the groomsmen were thanking me profusely for how cool the boutonnieres came out. I had an amazing experience using the flower lab at my wedding. Una was great from the beginning!! She always responded very quickly and she is very knowledgeable. I sent her photos for inspiration and she was able to bring my ideas to life. Una did a beautiful job at our late September wedding. She worked within our $2K budget (the save-the-date minimum) and was patient when trying to work with me on what I wanted when I really had no idea :) At some point we did decide on a blue wedding color but were limited in blue flower choices. My husband and I later developed a concept of having submerged blue-ish flowers in cylindrical vases with floating candles on top (we supplied her with the vases and candles). We think they looked pretty though honestly I have no idea if Una liked the end result too or was merely being accommodating. Either way we were pleased.  She also delivered in my request to include blue anemone flowers although they're premium and not the easiest to find. She handled the bridal bouquet, the four bridesmaids bouquets, the head table centerpiece, vase centerpieces for 16 tables, groom/groomsmen boutonnières, flower girl crown and rose petals to drop, aisle chair flowers arrangements, and perhaps other things in forgetting. My husband and I recently used Una for our wedding decor. We live in Santa Monica and were very excited to support a local business. After we first emailed Una, she responded quickly and we set up a time for an initial appointment. When we met with her, she helped guide some questions we had, and also asked very specific questions about the design inspirations we sent her through our Pinterest. We immediately felt like we were handing our ideas off to a true expert, and trusted her with every step of the way. And let me tell you, she and her team did NOT disappoint! We were amazed at the work she created for us - our centerpieces, corsages, boutonnieres, an arch arrangement, and various decor around our venue - they were all spectacular, exactly what we had envisioned. Una is the best to work with! She did the flowers for our wedding back in March, and they were absolutely perfect.So, if you want your wedding to look like the pictures that you see on Pinterest, you have to go with Una. Initially, we had no idea what we wanted exactly when we spoke with her. We basically told her our budget, showed her a few pictures of what we liked, told her our color scheme, and said we wanted some succulents. Then we let her do her thing, and the bouquets, centerpieces, and boutonnieres turned out even better than we could have imagined! And for a little extra, there were a couple of accents that ended up out of budget for us (e.g., some lavender sprigs), but she went ahead and did those details for our sweetheart table as a nice surprise for us on the day of the wedding!Long story short - go with Una and you won't regret it! Finding a florist was one of the most challenging aspects of wedding planning! My mom and I both love flowers and gardens, but as most people will find out during wedding planning, weddings and flowers are expensive! Una immediately understood the overall feel and color palette of my wedding without many details. I knew I could trust her to make the flowers look beautiful for that day, as when I looked at pictures on her website and instagram, her flowers had a certain elegance and beauty! She was also very flexible about adding or subtracting items, as other florists I had met with often had a minimum order. She was also very open and quick with communication by email or with dropping by, as I live/work nearby.On the wedding day, she brought our personal flowers to the hotel room where we were getting ready, so that we could have them for photos before the ceremony. When I saw my bouquet, I was soooo happy! She went above and beyond to get me Festiva Maxima peonies and David Austin Juliet garden roses, two of my favorite varieties :)Our ceremony space was used for public use up to an hour prior to the ceremony, so she had a very short time to set up, but did a beautiful job!. For the reception, many of our guests commented on how they loved the flowers and took the centerpieces home!I highly recommend Una and The Flower Lab! I had a great experience with Una at The Flower Lab. Una made my dream come true and transformed a modern classic wedding venue into a bohemian wonderland. I sent her photos and wish list items on Pinterest and she brought my entire vision to life. She is respectful and listens when you speak, she understands the process of weddings and anxiety behind them as well and made my life easier. I met with Una multiple times, as florals and decor are large factors to the reception. She met me at the venue as well to do a run through and came up with ideas on placing items I wanted to incorporate into the space. Her location is very convenient on the west side in Santa Monica, there's plenty of parking and it's not in an overly crowded or tourist area.I would work with Una again and felt good about my decision to hire The Flower Lab. I found Una because she did the flowers for my friends wedding.  I've had the pleasure of being a bridesmaid more times than I can count. .. so I've seen my fair share of bouquets, centerpieces, boutonnieres...  and my bridesmaid bouquet for my friend's wedding was STUNNING. So when it came time for my own wedding, I had to meet with Una as well. At first I thought I may not be able to afford her since her work looked SO good, but I was wrong.  Una was awesome, she looked at pictures I pulled from the internet, talked to us about color/style/budget and then personally put together our vision for the wedding.  I had seen her work at a rustic wedding; my wedding was more formal, but it was no problem.   She is also awesome at arch decorating - we didn't want to spend too much money on the arch, so she draped it beautifully with fabric and added crystals.  There was a flower arrangement in one corner that then doubled for the flowers on our sweetheart table.  It was gorgeous.I can't recommend her highly enough.  Thank you Una!! Una created the wedding flowers of our dreams!Una is patient, kind, and willing to work within your budget. Working with her was a pleasure. From the first meeting, she understood our vision. I would try to describe what we were going for and she would show us a picture of something even more beautiful than I could have imagined. She did her best to find the flowers (peonies, etc.) and colors (blush) we wanted even though it was December.Our wedding flowers were gorgeous! I wish the flowers could last forever! My husband Darius and I are so grateful that we hired Una from The Flower Lab as the florist for our wedding! When we first met with her, we were extremely indecisive about which flowers to go with for the bouquets and center pieces. She was so patient with us as we debated and changed our mind a bunch of times. She had a bunch of great ideas, and at the same time she also listened to our inputs as well. Budgeting for a wedding is really stressful, especially when you come to find all of your estimates are half what the real world prices are. We searched around a lot for all of our vendors getting quotes from multiple companies, for flowers, DJ, hair/make up. You name it, we Yelp'ed it. Una was responsive and respectful (of our time and budget) from the get-go. Easy to meet up with, encouraging with our ideas, and ultimately gave us a price we were happy with, even upgrading some of our choices on the day to better flowers for no extra cost. She was great at suggesting cost saving ideas like, instead of having two little costly bunches of flowers in the corners of our arch, we should cover the ENTIRE arch in silver dollar and wow what an impact that made. It looked amazing. The bridal and bridesmaid bouquets were so beautiful. The colors were so perfectly matched with our theme. And the men's succulent boutonnieres really looked smart. I honestly cannot imagine having my wedding without Una and her company. As a natural planner, I thought I knew exactly wanted for my wedding, but I really didn't. Not only did Una confirm my vision for my wedding, she also enhanced it and brought it to life!! When I first met with her, I tried explaining what I wanted, but couldn't put it into words. " and promises to make my wedding look beautiful convinced me to hire her and I have NO regrets! As a wedding planner up in the Bay Area, I have worked with a wide variety of florists and know how important it is to pick the right vendor. Flowers, especially, are such an essential part of every wedding and show up in almost every picture, so they need to be perfect! When my sister announced she was getting married down in Santa Monica (a very small intimate ceremony), she and I sat down and put together an idea of her perfect bouquet. She knew she wanted a few sunflowers and wild flowers, but still wanted it to be elegant and timeless. I got married about a month ago at the Bel-AIr Bay Club. I didn't think it was possible for our venue to look more beautiful, but Una's work was amazing and did just that! She was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. If you come in to the initial meeting knowing what you want and what your price range is, she will do everything she can to make it happen within your budget. She let us know exactly what we should expect to pay and was honest about what was/was not possible (availability of specific flowers, etc). She responds to emails right away and was very flexible throughout the whole process. On the day of the wedding, our flowers and bouquets were perfect and delivered on time and she even went out of her way to help my mother with some last minute details in the cocktail area.
