What a wonderful dinner. Joel made our dinner plans at farmhouse restaurant in Clayton Ga. wonderful food. I was a little disappointed with the waitress because when she ask us what wine we wanted with our dinner. I applied back we don't drink. She said nothing, and took our food order and left. Not everyone drinks wine. After paying 100.00 for two meals I feel that she could have asked us if we would like tea or coke with our dinner. In stead we had a glass of water on the table with no ice. Really!!! I had to ask her when she delivered our salad for tea and was told we only serve unsweetened. Joel, jfinal got a coke. The chef is an excellent chef, but need a little more polishing for those customers who don't drink wine or alcohol. They don't mine paying for a fine chef. However, we don't need a glass of wine to dine at a fine restaurant. More...

Having dinner here was a highlight of best friends' weekend in the mountains. The food was well prepared. The service was great. The view of the storm rolling in was beautiful yet a bit frightening. No cell service so get your directions in advance. It was easy to find and well worth the trip off the beaten path. I can't begin to describe what a hidden treasure this restaurant is and what an incredible chef Vince is. We have been about five times and each time the food seems to taste better and better. The care that Vince puts into making each dinner is absolutely astounding. Expect to be there for a while as he is literally cooking each person's dinner in an ordinary household kitchen, but why would you ever want to rush through dinner at a place like this? Have been to The Farmhouse for my last two wedding anniversary dinners and have not been disapointed either time. Chef Vincent is a hidden gem in the N. Georgia Mountains. The location, the setting, the staff, the meal, the chef all work together to make your dinner truely an unforgettable experience!
