The Exercise Coach is the ultimate modern way to use the science of physical strength in the most efficient way possible. This program is fast, it is intense, and it shows real measurable results and does it all in a way that will keep you coming back . No, I'm not training for the Olympics. No, I already know that I'd never be able to make myself stick with just using a membership at a wander-in and wander-around forest of workout equipment for two hours three or four times a week. That is where the genius of The Exercise Coach comes in. The studios are relatively small and the effort is very focused. As a client, you schedule two sessions per week that take 20 minutes each, plus an extra five minutes of cardio at the end. During your 20 minutes, the trainer, (who is always an extremely well-vetted and qualified employee, not a random freelance "personal trainer") works with you specifically for about 90 seconds at a time on a series of different pieces of hydraulic electronically controlled equipment that are designed to both challenge and allow for success. I am a woman in her early 60's and I have two artificial knees. I knew it was crucial to add a meaningful and sustainable exercise component to my personal weight loss program but was worried about the risk of injury. The trainers here will tailor the workouts to manage any personal limitations or specific goals their client may have and they design the pace and sequencing of workout routine every time you go there. I feel extremely fortunate to have found the team of coaches with this approach, but anyone can benefit from the protocol here since you are always competing only with your own current level of ability. My balance, strength and core stability are tangibly improved and the muscle definition in my arms and legs are also evident. I call that a win! The Exercise Coach protocol is a miracle blend of speed, efficiency, science, and accomplishment. As a woman in her early 60's with two artificial knees and sixty pounds to lose, I knew I needed a dedicated exercise regimen but I was a poster child for 'gym-timidation' and had no idea where or how to start. I was wary of injury and looking for something effective and sustainable and in an amazing stroke of luck found this program that has been both. In only twenty minutes per session, twice per week, they coach their clients through a series of scientifically based strategically designed exercises for both physical benefits as well as mental discipline and motivation. The workouts are precisely attuned to every individual's capabilities, providing the optimal exercise program to build strength and stamina. The trainers (shout out to Medley, Carlos, Val, and others!) are extremely knowledgeable and focus personally with each client, including developing accommodations needed for any personal physical limitations. The various types of exercise equipment incorporate graphic monitors show how to apply a range of effort and intensity that will achieve optimum results based on your own abilities, so you are always competing only with yourself. There is zero time wasted and the results really do show through improved balance and increased strength and stability in my normal activities every day. After almost 150 sessions and counting (!!) I've lost the weight and I still feel a great sense of accomplishment at watching my own progress, even if it isn't always a straight line. I have been coming here for over 3 years. Mikey (the manager) and Shawn (one of the trainers) are awesome!! I have struggled with medical issues since I was 13 and since I was 19 I have had 17 surgeries due to my medical issues. I made a decision that I could not allow that to control my life any longer. I have bad days and these guys work with me on those days to make sure I don't do anything that will cause my body more trouble than I need...yet at the same time they know my goals. I have never felt better about myself as I do working with these 2 AND I have never received as many compliments from others about how I look. Their strategies pay off and they show! They have taught me things I can do at home on days I don't come in. They generally care which you don't get from most places. I love the small setting because the people who come in are there for an appointment...not to stand around checking people out or trying to impress people (they want to accomplish something) and it allows you to get to know those people that come in. Let me start by saying I am not a person who looks forward to exercise, but I love this workout! Exercise Coach is a weight training workout, with a bit of cardio. Mike, the owner, has assembled an awesome group of trainers who really want you to succeed. The facility is clean and temperature controlled, there are also directional fans if you'd like. I’ve been working out for just over a year at the Exercise Coach, Lovers location. My goal was to increase my strength and stamina. The program, 20 min twice a week has done just that! Visited my son’s family and participated in all the hiking, bike riding activities with my grandchildren no problem! My blood work resulted in a 20% decrease in cholesterol numbers with only a modest diet change (room for improvement on that issue, ha)! I’ve lost 15 lbs over the year and continue to be able to wear clothes that I thought I was ready to donate! My coaches Pat, Mary and Medley keep me focused and challenged. I never would have thought 20 min could make such a difference. Highly recommend this program to anyone who wants to build there strength! I’m 65 and crowded gyms were not appealing.
