live in Florida and my ten year old daughter went to camp in Maine over the last couple weeks. My parents took her to and back. But on the way back their car broke down. There’s no internet service there. They called me and asked me to find them a hotel room. I offered to pay for it. I called Heidi’s Inn location because it was on my google search. Not only was this girl, Kristine, extremely rude, she told me she worked for a tow company and was going to have their broken down car towed, that was parked in front of a car repair shop. The car shop owner told them he couldn’t get to it tomorrow. I was trying to pay for the room over the phone. She said she’d have to call the owner, but kept questioning me as I called the owner. Asking what car they drove and how much the tow fees would be. Finally she called the owner. And Kristine said the owners reply was no, I could not pay for my 10 year old daughter and 75 year old parents to get a hotel in their room. Instead I called the Ethan Allen Hotel. Spencer honored the Heidi’s inn rate after I explained my predicament, and upgraded their room. Kristine is not someone who needs to be working in the service industry. Also she said since they were doing me the favor I should be paying for their car to be fixed. Ok Kristine. I planned one sending them money for that too. But I was trying to get my parents and daughter to a safe location, since I’m currently in Florida and they have no internet service and keep calling me on their cell phones. More...

If you are thinking about having a wedding, or any special occasion, run… do not walk, to the Ethan Allen Hotel! I recently had my rehearsal dinner, ceremony, reception and morning after breakfast at Ethan Allen and it was absolutely flawless! On a day that you expect perfection, but also plan for the worst, I received only the former. From Greg, who was our captain and made sure everything ran smoothly and wrangled my bridal party expertly while never making us feel like we weren’t having fun. To Svetlana, my attendant, who left me feeling like she was genuinely as happy for me as any family member in attendance. She watched over me, made sure I ate and had something to drink, gathered all our gifts and cards and brought them to our room and managed to always be there without ever being obtrusive. And to Kim at reception who always had a smile on her face and made sense out of chaos as I changed room reservations left and right (the rooms at the hotel are big and gorgeous! My guests loved them) There wasn’t a staff member who wasn’t gracious, kind and helpful. Many of my guests reiterated that point to me. And the food was FANTASTIC! Huge kudos to the chef who managed to make banquet catering taste like individually ordered Michelin starred meals! But I have saved the best for last… Eileen, or Wonder Woman as I came to think of her in my head. I walked in to Ethan Allen to just check out the venue and within seconds of meeting Eileen, I knew I had my location. She oozes an energy of complete confidence that she knows exactly what she’s doing and really cares about you and your event. I am an event planner by trade and there are very few people I would have felt comfortable leaving all my months of planning in the hands of but Eileen. She executed my vision even better than I would have myself! I, quite literally, did nothing but relax and enjoy my wedding day because that was the gift Eileen gave me. She was such a pleasure to work with leading up to the event that we became great friends . I even invited her to the wedding (and to my great delight, she came!) When on earth does that ever happen? Only with someone as special and unique as Eileen. It is without a single hesitation I recommend Ethan Allen Hotel and their amazing staff for your special day as well. More...

I wish I had gotten around to this sooner BUT better late than never! My husband & I got married here on 11/10/17. Not only was this place beautiful but the food was outstanding & the staff even more so. Eileen is a magician & a genius & the patron saint of patience. She stopped at nothing to help us bring our big day together. She answered my crazy questions every single time including her days off, weekends, late nights. Anything. She worked with ALL of my vendors to make sure everything was organized and in place as well. She really listened to my visions & made them come to life so tastefully. My bridal attendant Catty was the best go to on our wedding day as well. She took exceptional care of us & made sure we had everything we needed. Drinks, food, my purse, bustled my dress, helped with my veil. Our plan was to have our ceremony outside but due to cold weather we decided to bring it in last minute and WOW did these people make it look effortless. The room and lobby areas were excellent- bathroom not so great. We had dinner and were the only people in the recently redecorated restaurant. The food and service were 5 star in the restaurant. Every experience begins with "The Front Desk Person"....employers should take that very seriously! From the welcoming smile to the special attention paid to our every dining and brunch wish the Ethan Aleen Inn was a most lovely experience. The Brunch selections were bountiful and the omelet chef was superb! The Super Deluxe suite was clean, comfortable (and AMPLE) pillows, hot rainforrest shower and arrentive housekeeping staff. My only negative would be that it was a bit on the small side....cozy and well appointed however. Kudos to Kim (front desk) and our "Egyptian" Brunch server...you were delightful! What a beautiful and delicious Mother's Day Brunch. Haven't been to one like that ever. The food was excellent. Emphasis on the FANTASTIC SEAFOOD BAR! Service very professional and curtious. Not a long wait to get in, as we had reservation, and they sat us within 5 minutes of getting there. Not rushed out and enjoyed a leisurely 2 hours with my family celebrating Mother's Day. Fantastic as usual. We hot married there 11 years ago and had not been back for a long time. Went back last summer and 3 more times since. It's always great and the wait staff is outstanding especially the 2 ladies we had this weekend. We were visiting from Australia and decided to drive around New England. We were going to go to Vermont but realised the weather was going to get a bit snowy and we weren't in the mood to get snowed in SO we chose Danbury and decided to check out Ethan Allen (honestly, had never heard of Ethan Allen before) because of the high ratings We were greeted at the front desk by Steve and Clint who were very friendly. Room was lovely, spacious and the most comfortable bed I have ever been on (even my one at home is not comfy compared to this one). Room was quiet even though they were doing renovations and work outside our door Had a great chat to Clint as he has been to Australia and also met the lovely Kimberly who was incredibly helpful and sweet. The day we checked in, it was my birthday so Clint gave us free breakfast passes which was very nice. Breakfast was buffet style BUT they had gluten free options which was great for the husband who is a celiac The customer service here was beyond outstanding and we wished we could've stayed longer as we loved Danbury so much.
