This has been one of my favorite brunch places for a long time. It doesn't matter what you get here, everything is delicious! The eggs Benedict is one of my personal favorite, their hollandaise sauce is so tasty!I also really like the biscuits and gravy, can't go wrong with that. Look... I've been here tons of times and you can NEVER go wrong. The food - no matter your selections - is delicious. The drinks, especially the Bloody Marys are phenomenal. Even the weekday lunch specials are freaking YUM!There is zero question - you should eat here if you haven't already! Always a good breakfast experience here at the Egg. The servers are friendly and speedy with the coffee. Orders usually come out pretty fast. We like going before 8 to get the early specials, which are HUGE portions at a good price. We like the seasonal pancakes, but I will say the regular pancakes are better at their Chesapeake location. One of the only brunch spots I visit in Chesapeake. The wait (despite how long it sounds) is never really too long. The servers I've encountered have always been pleasant and knowledgeable. My only drawback is the mimosas are a little too pricey for what you get. Maybe I'm spoiled by my favorite Brunch spot (I'm used to paying $2.50) but I just can't find the value in buying more than one mimosa, especially when it comes LOADED with ice.Outside of that, the food is always great, I tend to lean toward the omelets which have never failed me. So, this is a hoppin' brunch spot and for good reason -- the Egg Bistro has all kinds of breakfast and lunch options. Both times I've been in, it's been packed. It's sort of a seat yourself kind of place, and eventually the staff gets around to you. On my first visit, I went with breakfast -- a Belgian waffle with fixings. Not bad. Not the best I've ever had, but certainly tasty. On my second visit, I went with a lunch special they had -- a turkey sandwich that was a spin on Thanksgiving with a cranberry sauce. Again, pretty tasty -- though the Texas toast was super greasy. Probably one of the biggest draws for brunch is the mimosa flight -- you can mix and match, which is nice. I did that once and enjoyed it. Overall, it's a decent spot for catching up with friends over some good eats. Is it the best brunch around? Probably not, but the casual atmosphere and solid food at reasonable prices will bring people back again and again. More...

Very good food and service, wait times are a bit long and because of the long wait lines people tend to steal your reservation if you are not waiting inside as this happened to us for the second time visiting out of two visits. Â The receptions should go outside and check with those people before she gives up a seat as both times she never came outside. Â Quality of food is excellent. Â This is just one of those places where they need more space for their patrons so we can sit and enjoy not feeling rushed so others can eat which can be a bit frustrating as people are staring into the windows at you while you eat.All in all a good place to eat and prices are comparable to village in or Denny's. Kudos to staff that was able to accommodate 8 of us within 1/2 hour on a very crowded Sat morning. I've been to all the locations, and food is always yummy and consistent. It would be nice if they had 1/2 orders. Portions are big and a lot of breakfast foods aren't any good leftover. The 2Es 2 step is a definite must, eggs, hashbrowns, asparagus wrapped in pepper bacon and smothered in hollandaise. Yum!!! More...

I visited my friend in Virginia Beach this weekend and he said we had to go to one of his favorite brunch spots. All the reviews raved about how good the food and customer service was there. The food is really affordable and they have a ton of options to choose from. Also what caught my eye was the mimosa flight! Of course I had to order it. I will say what I loved most about the flights was that they were all very light and not really strong which in my opinion goes better with brunch. They do give you the option to "spike" it and add more alcohol. I got the cranberry,forbidden fruit, mango and peach pear. All of them were pretty much amazing but my favorite two were the mango and the peach pear. The cranberry was the lightest. You can't come and not try these flavors! In terms of food, I ordered the Perry's Benedict. I wish the chicken was fried instead of grilled but I guess grilled is healthier so why not? I also wished it came on a biscuit instead of an English muffin which is the way most Benedict's come. Those would be my only two minor  criticisms but none the less the food was flavored well. I like that they added asparagus to it. I ordered the grits and sausage gravy on the side. Nom nom nom! Check this place out you won't be sorry! Fast service! We ordered and had our food within 10 minutes. Our server Heather was great! She was friendly and made sure our water and coffee were always full! My waffle and hash browns were delicious. I would have given 5 stars but I feel there is a lot of plastic waste. My water was served with a straw and my coffee with 2 mini straws and the coffee creamers are single-serve. I'll know for next time to ask for no straws. More...
