We had a fantastic first experience this place. Long wait time was compensated by beautiful ambience and weather. Then we were rewarded with good food. I liked what I ordered - avocado tartine and rose latte. Will come back and bring family back too! More...

Everyone at our table was glad to be there. Really nothing but enjoyable experiences here, I'll be back. Prices that are reasonable. Feeling here is like a restaurant in Fort Worth I liked. More...

I give this place double thumbs up. I had a cousin come into town and asked me to take him back here. The bill was decent for the quality.

The Dunlavy was our wedding venue and it was absolutely amazing! We worked with the GM, Elizabeth, on planning and she was wonderful. She met with us several times in advance to work on the details and she and her staff executed above and beyond. We've gotten so many compliments from our guests on how amazing the food and service was, and how beautiful the Dunlavy is! The chandeliers are absolutely gorgeous, especially during an evening wedding as they reflect off of the glass walls at night - stunning! We are so happy with our decision to have both our ceremony and reception there. It was a night we will always remember with so much happiness and a big part of that is because of the beauty of the Dunlavy and their friendly staff. 5 stars all around! More...

Excellent Easter brunch, only thing is we had to wait a little long for our drinks. But overall, great food and nice ambiance. Will be back for regular brunch for sure. And of course love the chandeliers. More...

If you are going to swing from the chandeliers, this would be the right restaurant, especially if you'd like to do it inside a giant room with glass walls and the gorgeous fauna of Buffalo Bayou surrounding you. Sub-tropical jungle chic. Dogs allowed on the porch. Despite the fancy attire, and indeed, an often very fancy clientele (I've seen a lot of shoes that cost more than my college education here) there are a number of really filling breakfasts less than $10. I think that's just right for a park restaurant, I love that I see as many joggers and families as I see socialites. It's also a really ethnically diverse restaurant, as opposed to some others I've been in in River Oaks. More...

Great Father's Day brunch spot. Setting is fantastic where you seem to float above the bayou in the trees. Hard to leave the place. Features communal tables and fruit infused water. Parking is limited and on this day was dominated by valet spaces. Hard to Keto here. Have to creative. More...

Such a lovely place with full of chandeliers and floor to ceiling windows that look great during the day and at night. Had brunch there once and participated in one of their painting with a twist events. Really apprciated the free pastries at the end of that event. Staff is always friendly and fast. More...

Excellent food. Worth the 20 min wait in line. The food came out fast and it was delicious. The views are amazing. They have water and fruit immersed water for you for free. Parking onsite is a struggle if you don't want to pay for parking. Valet however is very fair at only 5 bucks and they are quick. The bathrooms left much to be desired they were very dirty. There is one inside and one outside. More...

Great atmosphere
Love the setting of this restaurant nestled amongst the trees along Buffalo Bayou. It is truly a hidden gem.
The food is good but not exceptional. Everyone was pleased with what they ordered (salmon gravlax toasts, pickled pink salad, kale salad, chicken gyro), and the coffee cake and blueberry cake rounded up our brunch nicely.
You order at the counter and the food is brought to your table. When they get busy you may end up sitting at a communal table. The outdoor seating area is wonderful.
Would come back!

Love this place for the location and food! But I’ve been going for years and the menu really needs some new items added! Please get some specials or jazz up that tired menu with some new items. More...

Great spot, service here is excellent! The wait on the weekends is a little more than 30 minutes.
It is great being able to bring your pet to lunch with you at this place and later take a walk on the Bayou.

I came here on Sunday for brunch. This is a beautiful place that has both indoor and outdoor eating options right on Buffalo Bayou.
There are people helping you find seating but it is self seating and you may be seated with a group of strangers.
I ordered the Southwestern Breakfast Bowl and a side of butternut squash. The bowl is served warm with black beans, avocado, brown rice, tomato, cheese, potates, and a poached egg--all fresh tasted ingredients. I loved the butternut squash as it came with israeli couscous and almonds--but it was a bit too oil. The quality of ingredients is very high but there is not a lot spices used--I grew up eating food with more spices so this was a bit different for me.
Parking is very limited the later you go and there is valet. If you are a willing to make a couple of minutes to walk, you can park across the street.
I find this place a bit pricey for the taste and quantity of food, but with combination of the beautiful space and food--definitely would come back again.

Wow, I am very impressed by this place. A great spot for brunch! There is a nice ambiance that makes it feel like a special occasion. Service is fast and friendly. The food is really good. I got the egg plate, which came with two eggs, bacon, steak fries, and a side of toast. The eggs were poached perfectly, and served without any watery outsides that sometimes plague poached eggs, but maintaining a nice creamy yolk. The bacon wasn't too fatty, with a nice smokey flavor. The toast was fluffy and came with a delicious strawberry jam. And the true icing on the cake was the price. My egg plate was only $9 and the avocado toast is only $5. IHOP charges as much for their two egg breakfast, but completely lacks the ambiance, service, and really great food. If I really had to complain, it would be that the line can be atrocious on Sunday (expected) and the tables are all very long, meaning you're likely to share it with others. While that isn't a bad thing necessarily, it does mean on a crowded day you aren't going to get a nice intimate meal. More...
