My husband and I had Mike as the DJ for our wedding after being to two different weddings he was at and we were so impressed by him! Mike really helped with organization and making sure the night stayed on track and the flow going. The games Mike played allowed for all our family and friends to be involved. We can't explain how lucky we were to have Mike DJ our wedding reception! We reached out to Mike after he had worked a few weddings at our family's event barn, and are so glad we did! We gave him a few "must-haves" and ideas for the night and while he followed those, he also came up with his own additions to involve our friends and family in the fun of the night! We trusted him to "run the night" and I'm so glad we did, everything went perfectly smooth! We had an amazing time and can't wait to recommend him to our families and friends!

We hired Mike to DJ our wedding based off of reviews we found online. He did not disappoint! He definitely made the party at our reception! I recently booked my wedding DJ with The DJ Music Man. I really liked how thourough he was when explaining how the wedding would be from start to finisih (ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and reception). I really wanted someone I wouldn't have to hand hold and he really is going to be my "wedding plannler" keeping everyone on schedule and making it a good time. He made it clear that he wants everyone to feel included, so playing music that everyone knows is important. He offers a nice online planning tool to request songs, which is also nice to have. What do I recommend about Mike the DJ Music Man?! EVERYTHING. If you're looking for a DJ, then you're done. Hire Mike and don't look back. He was amazing from planning details, to the event itself. He was courteous, charismatic, and highly engaging. At a certain point, every wedding needs someone to step up and orchestrate the event. Mike did it with grace, poise, and humor. We had Mike as our DJ for our wedding on9/22/18. We can't say enough great things about him!!! He had creative games to break the ice, and keep people entertained while they were waiting for dinner. I have had the pleasure of working with Mike on multiple occasions! He DJ'd weddings for several of my friends, and I decided to book him for my own. Mike was the DJ at the Wakonda Club Father - Daughter Dance at which we (Photo Booths by SKP) also had our photo booth set up. I found Mike to be very personable with everyone with whom he interacted, he played a variety of songs that seemed to keep the crowd engages, and even took requests. Mike had some games for the Fathers and Daughters that were well received and he was very interactive with the crowd during the games. Mike did a great job at getting the crowd entertained around dinner time. He used trivia questions we wrote to help release the tables to eat. We weren’t quite sure what we wanted for music other than not very much country music or rap. Mike did a great job at picking songs that were upbeat that the crowd liked. He even chose a song on the fly for when we walked down the aisle after saying I Do’s after we failed to pick that out earlier- it was perfect! There were a few songs we wanted played that did not that we had requested, but we were honestly so busy it didn’t matter. Bryson was our DJ for both the wedding ceremony and the reception! Mike and Bryson were both extremely patient with me and very helpful both on the planning and at the actual wedding! I didn't have to worry about anything - Bryson was amazing! He is very talented with getting individuals up on the floor. Our families are not typically the ones with the initiative to be the first on the floor, if at all during the night. Many times Bryson got everyone involved and made an absolutely spectacular night for everyone! And worry free for me!
