Words can not express how wonderful of a wedding weekend we had at the inn. We will always hold this weekend in our hearts and Beth and Pat went above and beyond to make our day special. Thank you so much!

A gem in Old Saybrook! Eileen, Patty, Sam and Stefano will make you feel like family! And don't miss Caffe Marche next door for the most amazing gelato, sorbetti and espresso!

Just spent two nights at your B&B. Lovely inn, friendly atmosphere. Patty was delightful and informative. Breakfasts were nice. .. but could be more substantial during the week.... having eggs or oatmeal available.
Would like there to be more security as the front door is always open/unlocked. All in all, we had a lovely stay in Old Saybrook!

Very cute Bed & Breakfast. Nice rooms and a semi comfy bed. Breakfast was good and the pastry chef and Pat who were there during the day were so very friendly and hospitable. The only thing I wasn't really too keen on was that there was no one there at night. The house is open 24 hours. Anyone could just walk in and all that's there is the guests. I have stayed at plenty of B&Bs and never had this happen. Also, Pat had said that sat there was going to be a full breakfast with sausage and bacon and banana foster pancakes. We only received a ham and cheese omlet. It was good but not what we were told. All in all I do recommend Timothy Pratt, it is a very nice place. More...

Truly a special place. The service, food, accommodations are elegant and refined but with such a feeling of home. We felt welcomed here the moment we arrived. Eileen has created a wonder environment in such a historical home. This bed and breakfast, or I should really say the people here at the b and b, provided me with exactly what I needed for a weekend retreat away from the hectic stresses of life. More...

Last night we celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary with a private dinner party in the most special place along the shoreline, the beautiful Deacon Pratt B&B. Eileen Scottile, the owner, with her amazing staff and chefs honored our special day with not only the most spectacular five course Italian feast imaginable but also with an old world warmth and hospitality to be rivaled no where along the shoreline.
Thank you Eileen for making our celebration from the planning stages to the party a delightful journey. You are the best!

I attended a friend’s wedding in Old Saybrook a few weeks ago. Long story short, I was extremely unhappy with the hotel I had booked, went for a drive, saw this lovely BnB, made a quick u-turn, met the owner, Eileen, who showed me around, canceled my other hotel and spent the weekend here. I have never had such a wonderful stay, anywhere!

First of all, this place is just beautiful. The decor and energy are perfect. I felt so welcomed and relaxed. How could I not?! The outdoor space alone is a zen garden, the cafe is an absolute jewel and the rooms are stunning. Secondly, the staff are extremely friendly and hospitable. They genuinely want you to have the best possible experience. I only had one [light] suitcase and they insisted they carry it up for me. I needed an iron and ironing board and it was in my hands within minutes. Next, the food is unbelievable; so fresh, prepared to perfection and beautifully presented. I didn’t intend on trying every course at breakfast, but everything had just the right amount of healthiness and deliciousness; I couldn’t resist. Lastly, the location is unbeatable. It’s less than a mile and a half from the water and a few minute’s walk from Main Street where there’s all kinds of shops and restaurants. Such a cute little town!

I now have a reason to go back to Old Saybrook - to stay at this BnB. I’d like to give Eileen a special “thank you” for taking me in after my horrible hotel experience and making me feel right at home. Such a lovely person whom I will always be grateful for. :)

My husband and I have stayed here twice. The first time (back in January 2015) it was a gamble as my husband found this BnB while researching hotels and BnBs in CT (online). We weren’t sure if the description and photo gallery would match our expectations - glad to say, they exceeded them!! We absolutely love this place. The accommodations, the hospitality, the ambience, the food, the location, the hosts... everything was just perfect. Shelly, Eileen and (sorry, can’t remember “his” name) made us feel “at home”. During the first visit, we stayed in the Sunrise room. We both loved it; as a matter of fact, I didn’t want to leave! The second time (January 2017) we stayed in the Suite. Also loved it! So... We have decided that we should try the rest of the rooms and then, we will attempt (which I’m sure will be a “tough”) to choose which room we like best and, book it again!! Looking forward to our next visit, hopefully soon! More...
