Wonderful. Quaint. Cozy. These are just a few of the words to describe the cozy teacart. I love this restaurant. The food is wonderful. Soup is amazing. Especially when served in one of their French bread bowls.  They also have programs like tea tasting, storytelling's, and other programs. They have a wonderful gift shop that is reasonably priced. If you are looking for a nice place to have lunch, visit The Cozy Teacart. More...

Wonderful place for tea. But as others have posted, you have to be careful about what you order if you want fresh. A lot of stuff on the menu is frozen and microwaved, which is a big yuck. But if you want muffins or scones with your tea, that's usually ok. I wish they had better food, but I'll still go for the tea. More...

Drove out here on a crisp fall day. The first bite of my scone totally took me by surprise. It was buttery, sweet but subtle, spiced and flavored exquisitely with tea-infused jam -- so good I almost teared up. Well worth a long drive into the country. There is a great sculpture hike right next door, so it makes a good afternoon outing! More...

I wasn't sure I would like this place but I was pleasently surprised. The place is divided into two areas. One is the retail side and you can smell the different teas. There is about 200 different teas on display. Very unique and liked so many of them. The second area is the Cafe space and you can order any of the read along with sandwiches or desert. We ordered the tea service and it was cute and perfect for the occasion. The staff was super helpful and not pushy and made us feel comfortable. I ordered one of the teas I saw in the retail area and it was amazing. Would go there again for other experiences. It is worth the drive. More...

My wife and I had afternoon tea here, that they run once every month. The food was very good, and there are many little samples that add up to a meal. The menu rotates each month and is thematic. We were also served small amounts of three teas. The service was attentive and kind, but for the number of tables, they could have used more help to serve the tea more quickly, especially when there were three to try. There also were no sugar, milk, honey, etc for the teas. The dining area was also quite small, so expect to be cozy with your neighbors. Towards the end of the meal, the servers also came around with extra foods; more sandwiches, breads, and pastries, which was great to have. The entire event was also backed by a live harp player, very nice. All in all, it was fun and tasty, and I would recommend it if you have never had afternoon tea anywhere before, but, the price is a little high for it to be a repeat experience. More...

Outstanding selection of teas. Scent jars for each along with descriptions on tins. Very pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff. Some of the teas are a bit pricey compared to other tea houses, and staff is not knowledgeable about teas in the true sense of benefit. Would definitely go back, hopefully the owner who I understand is very knowledgeable will be there. More...

This was a great Saturday Adventure for a Good Cup of Tea...My husband and I had received a Groupon for a Tea Tasting for Two as a gift from his parents. I had called ahead for a Saturday reservation. We arrived 15 minutes early to poke around before our tea tasting. It's a very lovely shop when you first step into the place. One side is full of different teas and tea related gifts and accessories, while the other room is for tea tastings and dining. My husband and I had a tea tasting with 4 other people. The proprietor, Danielle Beaudette, did a fantastic job of explaining the different categories or teas, the tea making process and describing her travels to the various place she sources her tea from each year. We were all asked about the types of teas we were interested in and she tailored the teas we would try based on our preferences. I prefer black and green teas and was able to try new things that I've never tasted before. Danielle explained the proper method to brew each type of tea that we tried and gave suggestions on what types of things we should consider using to brew a good cup of tea at home. She even gave some recommendations for books I could get to learn more about tea and cooking with tea. We ended up staying for lunch after the tasting. They have a nice selection of sweet and savory dishes for lunch and we decided to have more tea with lunch. I got the chicken with pesto, a raspberry white chocolate scone with clotted cream and the baozhong oolong tea. It was very delicious and hit the spot on a chilly rainy day. My husband got the mushroom and cheese panini, bacon and cheese quiche and the Phoenix green tea. He enjoyed his meal and tried my scone, which he also really liked. We looked around some more after lunch and I got to appreciate how nicely the shop was decorated. There were interesting photos from Danielle's travels hanging on the walls. I got through browsing about half of the shelves full of tea and looking at the tea accessories. We ended getting two of the teas from our tasting and getting the one from our lunch. I also finally found a decent measuring spoon for the loose leaf tea. This place is a great day trip adventure if you want to share your love of tea with someone or introduce them to the wonders of tea. The staff at the shop are friendly, pleasant to talk to and very knowledgeable. It's a great place to pick up good quality loose leave tea for yourself or as a gift to someone. My husband and I plan to come back again once we finish our current stash of tea. More...

A beautiful small white building is tucked behind a few commercial buildings, about 5-6 parking spots available in front. Walking inside, your nose is instantly greeted by different scents of what could be tea and bakery items . The Cozy Tea Cart has two rooms and a hall, the hall is the entrance and exit point for guests, while the room on the right offers guests to enjoy a cafe style sit down for their tea and food needs. The room on the left provides a giant wall of tea choices, and there are many. I personally love the selection of not only tea but different items for the kitchen. I attended TCTC’s tea tasting for two through a Groupon deal. We waited a short while for Danielle the owner and tea guru. She started asking everyone at the aligned tables questions about our tea preferences and then developed a menu of 4 teas that everyone would enjoy. Danielle verbally walked us through the history of tea, what type of plants they are, and her journey through Asia while developing business relationships with local tea farmers. Interesting experience on the process of sipping and tasting tea, I actually learned that steeping too long or leaving the tea bag inside the cup could end up being bitter. I bought 1lb of Choco Mint which is absolutely divine, extremely smooth and tasty. Danielle is a breadth of knowledge, intelligent, and friendly. If you’re interested in the world of tea, and how it’s made, and looking to fill your tea stash, The Cozy Tea Cart is the best place to go for all your tea needs and to educate yourself by small business offerings. I absolutely LOVE this place!  My sister and I stopped in yesterday after an afternoon of shopping and it was the perfect way to relax and cap off the afternoon.  We had the tea for two -- chocolate hazelnut -- with raspberry and whites chocolate scones.  Perfection!  The room was decorated for Christmas in an elegant and tasteful way, and background music was unobtrusive and relaxing.  My sister and I were here last year at this same time and we couldn't wait to go again.  The Cozy Tea Cart delivered, and exceeded our expectations! We stopped in here after a hike and it was the perfect place to relax and warm up. The teas are interesting and unique and there are tons of choices. Besides tea, we ordered the cheddar and basil biscuit, the tomato and fresh mozzarella panini, and a chocolate cupcake. The food was delicious, especially the biscuit. It's a super cute place with friendly staff. Obviously it's no fancy five star restaurant but that isn't the point. It's homey and has yummy, casual food as well as a great tea selection. The prices are very reasonable too. Only downside was slow service but we were in no rush. More...
