Whatever you do, Absolutely do not have any kind of mishap with your vehicle where you need any kind of roadside assistance on this hotel's property. SEVERAL members of this establishments management team held up first responders and even blocked in an emergency vehicle with a sky lift claiming they were on private property and could not assist customers there. Hotel management got in and out of the customers vehicle while on the back of a tow truck several times illegally even though said hotel management was informed multiple times we were sent there by an insurance company to assist our customer, multiple calls to the local police were made. While the police QUICKLY advised this joke of a resort that they could not legally do what they were doing falsely imprisoning people, and needed to immediately let us carry on with our day, it is evident that they have zero care or concern for their customers if it doesn't profit them in some way or another. I don’t understand people calling this luxury. It’s 3 stars at best. There is absolutely nothing here. The restaurants are no better than your local chilies. The rooms are horrible. Shower is broken, sink water barely works, no water pressure. The indoor pool is freezing cold. Room service menu horrible. The bed is joke. The pillows appear to be from Walmart. Room lighting is poor. TV remote doesn’t work. Overall, total garbage. Absolutely would not recommend this place to anyone and will never return. In All honesty, it reminds me of a best western. What a MAJOR disappointment. We stayed 1 night to celebrate valentines together last night and took advantage of their promotion.
We paid $339 and got stuffed in the north tower (old Cloud 9 motel according to the front desk clerk who did also mention that the website can be “slightly deceiving”. Room was small and for that price, we didn’t even get lake view. When you get to that part of the hotel, it evens smells old. You have to walk outside to get to your room. North tower rooms should have some disclosure so you know what you’re not getting.
We could have stayed ANYWHERE and got a better room for half the price. Would never stay again. Staff were great but I expect good staff at resorts.
We planned to have either dinner or breakfast in our room and enjoy this space. We actually left the resort last night as all the shops closed at 6 and there was nothing to do and the room was like a motel room that we had no desire to do anything but sleep in.
We feel like we were totally taken advantage of. Like a previous review said about these rooms, a good value would be about $50 maximum! The hotel was full last night and I’m sure the rate reflected that but had we have known, we would’ve chosen an alternate date for our stay.
It’s a beautiful resort to visit and walk around but not a place to stay over night.
We have never stayed before and wife grew up here. We were so excited and the degree of disappointment is hard to fully express.
We joked that we would’ve needed to spend $800 to get a lake side view.
We’re staying at a Marriott in Clearwater Florida in April on the beach and a much nicer room for less money so for total value here? ZERO!!!

Just all around not worth the rates they charge. We attend an event every year here, but this was our first (and last) time booking a room on site.
The staff have a definite attitude if you don't "look like you belong here" or have honest questions.
The food at the restaurant ( Dockside) is just OK for the price as well. One of the waitresses even flat out commented to my husband "I'm not your server so I can't help ya". What a way to act in the service industry? I've never encountered quite that level of disrespect when we were paying for a service in my life. The only silver lining as far as restaurant service went was that we got to be taken care of by Elise (maybe it was Elisa) for breakfast on our last day. She's a gem.
Overall we'll continue to come to the event, but we'll definitely be going back to booking elsewhere for overnight accommodations.

A big shout out to the evening manager at the CDA Resort! We were treated with such kindness from John as he discovered that we were celebrating our 15 year wedding anniversary!
His generosity towards us was the beginning of a perfect stay to celebrate! The room was beautiful with perfect views, the service was great, and the food was amazing!
