The Venue itself is beautiful, Catering was great, Pricing is also very reasonable compared to a lot of other venues.  As a venue it marks all the checklists: beautiful ceremony site with a fountain/pond and plenty of greenery, cocktail area has plenty of tables/places to sit indoors and outdoors with a great view; bathrooms are very clean with enough stalls; and bridal suite is huge, with a view and a lovely area to hangout/get ready! We worked with Melissa and Lilly throughout the planning process and are ultimately happy with the outcome.  With each meeting we went over specific details of our wedding event from table cloths, to the day of timeline, what was left on our checklist of vendors, etc.  The day went smoothly with their guidance during the planning process.  As first time (and last time) wedding planners, it is always nice to have some feedback from someone who is experienced, I would say Lilly was much more helpful with this.  We had a good, but not a perfect experience with some room for improvement, so taking one star away because of this.1) Responsiveness could have been better: many times we would have to call/email for followup if we didn't get an initial response from an email/voicemail we had sent/left.  2) Communication: We were nearly double charged a $3000 payment.  After a phone conversation with Lilly to agree to the charge, a couple days later I received an email from Melissa requesting permission to charge my card for the same payment.  Likely an honest mistake due to lack of intercommunication, but not to be taken lightly.  3) Organization: We had scheduled our rehearsal several months in advance (around the time we booked the venue).  Many bridal party members had planned around this scheduled date/time.   We found out about a month and a half before our event that another wedding was booked at the same time and had to reschedule the rehearsal.  Unfortunately, some members missed the rehearsal because of this and plans for that day had to be shuffled.  Again, likely an honest mistake, but is also likely due to some lack of organization.  We would have appreciated being notified much earlier so that the participants could plan accordingly.  We definitely appreciated the complimentary upgrade with the chargers to make up for this!4) Follow-through: Overall our wedding day event went very smoothly.  The only moment that I believe could have been handled a bit better was the transition between cocktail hour and reception.  During a prior meeting, Lilly emphasized the importance of sticking to the schedule so that we can squeeze in some sunset pictures during dinnertime and discussed her role in making sure this happens.  Naturally, this set up some expectations from myself, the photographer and videographer.  However, Melissa and Lilly were nowhere to be found during that time!  My wonderful Matron of honor had to start shuffling some guests into the reception hall.  We still got plenty of photos/footage, but that's one point that could have been improved. 5)Transparency: We asked for a summary of charges from the open bar. Our credit card was charged but we never received a receipt or summary of charges.  We're still waiting to this day...A tip to brides booking this venue!Keep in mind the Bridal party cannot use the Bridal suite until 12pm, I wish we could have gotten ready at the venue, but we had to book a hotel to get ready as our hair/makeup artist needed to start around 8:30am to make sure everyone would be ready by our first look at 2:30pm.  The bridal suite was huge and looked like a great place to hang out with bridesmaids with snacks and champagne to enjoy, but we didn't really get to use it much.TLDR: Overall, very happy with this venue! Good coordination, but some room for improvement. More...

Fantastic Mother's Day brunch. We were so impressed by the quality of the food. Everything was top notch. There were so many options that there was something for everyone in the family. They also continuously replenished the buffet with no issues of running out of food. The Clubhouse at Boundary Oaks was such an amazing venue for our wedding reception and Charlene made sure our reception ran smooth! She and the entire staff went above and beyond and never tried to hassle us during the whole planning process! When we initially met, my husband and I were attracted to one of the mid priced banquet options, but Charlene had us reconsider and start off with the most affordable option. She suggested that we customize our reception starting from that point! Initially we also opted for an open bar... Midway in the planning process, without prompt, Charlene suggested that perhaps we can cut some cost by doing a bar tab instead (that saved us so much money). That was very considerate. The Clubhouse took care of so much for us, it was like a one stop shop since they took care of catering/set-up/provided easel. We did a food tasting prior to selecting our menu, and I must say our guests couldn't stop raving about the food (especially their vegetable lasagna!). We even had dessert delivered by one of our guests in a foil tray. We instructed the Clubhouse to just go ahead and set the tray beside the late night snacks, yet they went above and beyond and actually laid out the dessert! Our guests also remarked about their service and how great they were at refilling drinks and catering in general. To out into perspective, we had 220 guests and a lot of children. The venue took wonderful care of our guests. My husband and I never had an empty glass and were always asked if we would like more food. Thank you Charlene and the Clubhouse staff for making our day beautiful and keeping our guests happy! For a descent sized guestlist, you did an amazing job! Great menu, beautiful hidden location and wonderful service! We didn't have our ceremony here, but it sure is a beautiful ceremony site as well. Their bridal suite can accomodate a large group as well. Take golden our pictures if you can! More...

This is an awesome venue to have your wedding at. Natalia and Charlene were such a pleasure to work with. Not only are they one of the nicest people we know, but they are so accommodating. They were very flexible with whatever we needed done. Our wedding was mostly DIY so we needed to see the venue often to practice and check to see if our ideas would fly. If the venue wasn’t in use, they would allow us to try our ideas out. We even got to prep the place the day before the actual ceremony so we wouldn’t have to stress the day of. Because of all this, our wedding went pretty smoothly and not much worry. Charlene was great with brainstorming ideas with us to make sure all the ideas made sense. So good in fact that in a relatively short period of planning (6 months), the wife and I were able to take a weekend off of planning to just chill. What more can we say, they are just awesome and we would love to have our anniversary celebrations here because we love this venue so much. The best part of having the party at this venue, other than the price, was the staff the night of. Xochi and her team are absolutely amazing. They were the nicest people! I remember Hirschel's name only, but there were several men and women who all went above and beyond to help make our night perfection! We recently got married at the Clubhouse at Boundary Oak in October of 2017. I cannot say enough about how much my husband and I loved both the venue and the staff! We had our ceremony at the lakeside ceremony site, our cocktail hour in the Mira Vista room, and our reception in the Celebration room. Every staff member that I interacted with was friendly, efficient, and helpful. The Catering director was responsive during our initial contract discussions, and worked with me to fit everything into our budget, even before we signed the dotted line! Their packages are extremely reasonable based on my research, especially on Friday or Sunday. The tables, basic chairs, linens and napkins, staff (including day of coordination), food, set up and break down are all included, not to mention FLOOR LENGTH linens as the default! They offer lots of luxe upgrades if you want them, but we actually went with the Gold package, and our only upgrade was to buffet instead of plated and everything was gorgeous! We did end up scoring a few upgrades for free though :) We worked closely with Charlene, our onsite and day of coordinator, and she was extremely responsive and very flexible and helpful! She worked with us on every detail, and had great suggestions for keeping things in our budget, while still getting everything we wanted! The day went off without a hitch, and we could not have been happier with how everything came together! If you have a modest budget and big wedding dreams, I whole-heartedly recommend Boundary Oak! The Clubhouse at Boundary Oak was our wedding venue for our November 2017 wedding ... The minute we toured this place we fell in love and the catering manager at that time, Katie, was also amazing & really helped us in our decision of choosing Boundary Oak as our wedding venue. I loved the staff and the fact that they had a bridal suite and the Ceremony & Reception was able to be all in one plaice, AND that they are pretty much an all inclusive venue. Your wedding day is such a busy day with getting ready, taking all the photos you want to get, and not to mention the 'party'. I am a do it yourself kind of person but I did not have to do anything on my wedding day when it came to setting up the decor that I brought in, Charlene (the day of coordinator) was AMAZING!!! I gave her photos of what I wanted the tables to look like and some extra stuff that I said put anywhere she thinks would look good & boy did she make it look good!! The entire staff was amazing on the day of our wedding, during the reception my husband never had to ask for another drink, one those bartenders noticed his beer glass was empty they gave him another one, all the wait staff was soooooo friendly and kind to everyone! All of family and friends raved about how nice all the staff was and how much they loved our venue. Every time I had a question, weather is was silly, asked for the 5th time or a really long drawn out question, Charlene was always very responsive and very sweet answering my millions of questions. I honestly can't say enough kind words about this venue and the staff here at The Clubhouse at Boundary Oak. If you're looking for a wedding venue, your search ends here!!! Thank you all so much! As a K-1 visa holder, I only had 90 days to get married and it drove me crazy. My sister in law recommended this venue and i made a visit. I met Natalia who was in charged as Sales. She was very lovely, kind, warm and i could sense she gave everything in her "power" to help me making my dream wedding come true in less than a month (the date was Sept 1st). She was very cooperative, understanding and professional! So yeah, I chose this venue, the Mira Vista Room. Next, I met Charlene to help me with the event schedule, details, decorations, menu, etc. She was extremely kind, professional, helpful, initiative, and lovely. I can't thank them enough for what they've done. Its beyond their job description! Thank you! They were really sincere to make our wedding as beautiful as possible. I brought cupcakes from outside and they both were so enthusiastic in helping us decorating the cake with sprinkles. We were so touch. Oh and the food was really good too. We chose duvet meal: Beef & Cod. They were so delicious and tender. The guests kept complimenting the meals. I was so happy! Our dream wedding came true even though the preparation was only 26days.We would never forget this place. So much happy memories. Boundary oak, Natalia and Charlene... Thank you so much. More...

Boundary Oak was the last venue we looked at after a few weekends of venue shopping. We weren't expecting much, but as soon as we walked in, we could already envision the creative possibilities. When Katie gave us the tour, we loved the spaciousness of the clubhouse, overlooking the golf course and the hills, the large celebration room, the giant oak tree, the colors of the leaves, access to the trail across the street, and the vast amount of parking availability! After we signed our contract with Katie, we primarily worked with Charlene during the year. One major thing that happened during the year (which may not seem major to anyone else but me) is that the clubhouse went through some renovations (i.e. ceiling and carpet change), which affected my vision of how I wanted the ballroom to look. I was a bit bummed about that, but Charlene talked me through some options and recommended some vendors, reassuring me that she can help make the vision happen. Aside from that, the entire planning process with Charlene and Katie was a very positive experience. I am sure they have to deal with nitpicking brides all the time, but they handle every issue with poise, respect, and kindness. When the big day came, Charlene and Katie worked behind the scenes making sure everything ran smoothly including setup, timing, coordinating with my vendors, double checking with me if there were any hiccups. They are very tasteful as well- I had some decor items in boxes I didn't know what to do with, and they made good use of them! Food was delicious, service was great, and the staff was very accommodating. I really appreciated the smallest service details that I wanted to call out and applaud here: saving some appetizers and desserts for us before guests devoured them all, digging out umbrellas for us due to rain, wiping down every chair bc they were wet, refilling beverages in the bridal suite, making sure we have enough teacups and tea for the tea ceremony, helping us pack things up during tear down, etc. I highly recommend this venue. The exceptional service I think is the best part about it. I'm so glad we chose Boundary Oak, and it was a real pleasure working with Charlene and Katie! More...

We had our amazing wedding at Boundary Oak. Everyone was great, the food was tasty, the booze was flowing, the view was awesome. It was a small wedding, about 50 people, but the also had the space for like 6 times that. I do want to note for other gay couples that this place was great. I was nervous being gay and getting married because nowadays it's still ok to discriminate, but NOT here. There was a bigger ballroom, but that was overkill for us. We chose the smaller room with the golf course view, the adjoining dance floor, and bridal suite just next door. The venue met all of our needs with a decent price. It's meant to house bigger wedding so small weddings should think about the minimums. We had a dj and a photo booth in the dance section which was separate from the food area which I really liked. You could break in the other room or chill if dancing wasn't your thing. The ceremony area outside was nice and you get to use the arch. We had low key decorations, that they helped put up which was stress off my back. The coordinator Charlene was a great help, timely, attentive, and a pleasure to work with.Looking for an awesome place nestled slightly away from the chaos of the city? Boundary Oak is awesome! We went here for their Christmas with Santa event with my grandkids, daughter and son in law and it was great.  It was very well organized with the dining room for the food, a room to take pictures with Santa and a room for cookie decorating. I like the idea of having only one sitting so there is no rush because of people waiting for tables.  You reserve and your table is saved for the entire period of the event which is 10 am to noon.Food was standard breakfast fare (no carving station, no cook to order stuff, etc.) but for $20, you can't beat it.  They never ran out of food and were still bringing out food close to noon when we were about to leave.  This is mainly for the kids and the kids loved it.Very relaxing and a great venue. All I have to say is Wow. I would give 10 stars if I could! My husband and I got married at Boundary Oaks in June and our experience throughout the entire process was amazing. We went to 10+ venues around the Bay Area and Boundary Oaks definitely stood out for several reasons. It was by far the best decision I made throughout the wedding planning process.

The venue is beautiful. I loved the outdoor ceremony site with the fountain in the back, while the reception was indoors in the Clubhouse directly behind the ceremony site. There is also a large bridal suite that overlooks the ceremony site so you can see everything that is going on outside while people on the outside can't see in. The cocktail hour also takes place inside the Clubhouse that has a balcony area which overlooks the golf course. Overall, I loved that everything was in one place so it's not only easy for the bridal party to get ready there, but easy on guests as they only have one location to stay at throughout the entire wedding.

I also can't say enough great things about Charlene and Katie. They were seriously the best. I have never worked with such amazing people and they are definitely the main reason why our experience with the venue was so wonderful! Throughout the entire wedding process, I kept telling everyone that our venue coordinators were the ones that were keeping me sane and I never once had to stress about working with Boundary Oak because I trusted them 100%.

I honestly can go on and on about how great our experience was here, but the character limit won't let me on here. If you are looking for a venue in the Bay Area, I highly recommend checking out Boundary Oaks. You won't regret it!

Overall, I loved that everything was in one place so it's not only easy for the bridal party to get ready there, but easy on guests as they only have one location to stay at throughout the entire wedding. They also recently went through some remodeling so all carpets inside are new, bathrooms are remodeled, there's a new ceremony arch and much more. Do note that it gets really hot during the summer. Our ceremony was at 5:30pm and I think it was still mid-90s during that time so make sure you take that into consideration for a summer wedding! Other than that, the venue is absolutely perfect and so picturesque for all those sunset photos with the bride and groom. COORDINATORSI can't say enough great things about Charlene and Katie. They were seriously the best. I have never worked with such amazing people and they are definitely the main reason why our experience with the venue was so wonderful! We met with Katie during our initial tour of the venue and she was extremely approachable and easy going. We went to several venues where I liked the venue space but I didn't really connect with the coordinators, but I instantly had good vibes talking to Katie. Once we booked the venue, we worked closely with Charlene on all the details leading up to the wedding. She was so quick and responsive to emails and calls even on her days off. I would almost always get a response the day of and I had sooo many questions and updates. I honestly don't know how they are able to keep up with all the weddings they have going on, but somehow they do it incredibly. Throughout the entire wedding process, I kept telling everyone that our venue coordinators were the ones that were keeping me sane and I never once had to stress about working with Boundary Oak because I trusted them 100%. On the day of the wedding, they were both just as amazing with setting up and making sure everything was running smoothly. If you couldn't tell already, I only have the highest of compliments for these two! I guarantee you will love them if you're lucky enough to get to work with them. FOOD/BARAll the food and drinks are provided in the package as well. This includes champagne, lemonade and spa water at the ceremony site when guests arrive, bridal suite appetizers and drinks while the girls are getting ready, all the cocktail hour appetizers, dinner reception, and alcoholic drinks (beer, wine, champagne, cocktails). I loved that we were able to go to a tasting ~6 months before the wedding to try all the food before we made the decisions on what we wanted to select. I also really appreciated how flexible they were in terms of cocktail drinks. We had "His and Hers" drinks and wanted fresh mint in one of them. They said they usually don't have that but was happy to provide it for us. It was small gestures like this that really made me grateful I chose such a wonderful venue that cared about their customers and would do anything to help make our dream wedding a reality.PRICING/PACKAGESI loved that there are several packages you can choose from especially for those that want a budget-friendly wedding. They are flexible in terms of creating the perfect package that works for you. There are minimum spends you have to hit and like all other venues we looked at, it all depends on the day (Saturday weddings are almost always more expensive than a Friday or Sunday wedding). One thing I really loved about their packages is how many different items came with it. From the draping behind the sweetheart table and arch to centerpieces/candles/different linens/napkins/ etc., it was nice that they already had a lot of things included so I didn't have to go out and buy them myself. Definitely inquire with them regarding all the packages because there's so much more. I honestly can go on and on about how great our experience was here, but I think I already wrote an essay above. If you are looking for a venue in the Bay Area, I highly recommend checking out Boundary Oaks. You won't regret it! More...

Space - The ENTIRE Clubhouse is reserved for you and your guests when you book them for your day. The place is huge! With any other venue I saw, they rented by room, or have an outrageous price for a venue buyout. With Boundary Oak, that is a non issue.2. Pricing - They are very amenable to negotiating what they offer in order to accommodate your budget.  Just tell them what is the most important thing to you, (in my case it was an open bar) and they will do their best give you what you need and still stay within your budget. 3. The bridal suite - It's so nice to get ready there with your girls, as opposed to your house or a hotel. It is more than enough space to fit in at least 10 bridesmaids (though I only had 5).  They serve you champagne, cheese, fruits and breads as you get ready.  Such a nice touch. 4. Coordinator - Charlene was such a sweetheart throughout the whole planning process. She addresses your concerns quickly and stays in constant contact with you. She's also very organized, so even if you don't know what you're doing with the planning process, she makes it easy for you.   5. The food/beverages are amazing! Everyone was talking about the salad we chose after the wedding. The beef is tender and the chicken is moist.  So tasty and elegantly plated. All in all, I am so happy with my choice in having my wedding reception at the Clubhouse at Boundary Oak.  There's no better place I could've pictured my wedding to have been. Thank you Boundary Oak Staff! You are the best! More...

I had no idea this place existed. It's nestled in the hills of Walnut Creek, away from the hectic atmosphere of downtown. It overlooks a golf course (duh) and a pond with ducks, and gives you a pretty good view of the city . Makes for nice outdoor pictures.I went here for a catered lunch for work this month. The servers were nice, event room was spacious, and the food was good. The floor to ceiling windows are nice too, so you still have the golf course as a backdrop for phot ops. I will be adding this to my list of venues for future events. More...

There is a huge bridal suite for the bride to get ready, a beautiful outdoor ceremony area, spacious cocktail hour area, and a great ballroom with a HUGE dance floor. Please go check out this venue! Our guests kept commenting about how beautiful the venue was and how convenient it was (lots of free parking, beautiful rooms and beautiful scenery for an outdoor ceremony). This place is gorgeous! The golf course, the giant oak tree, The Clubhouse.

We held our wedding here on November 2014. We had our wedding ceremony at the golf course and reception in the ballroom. Everything turned out wonderful!

The ladies that helped me with the wedding planning were both so amazing! They would follow-up with me just at the right times without being pushy. They just want to make sure everything goes the way I wanted it to be. Very detail oriented and organized. Although, there was a little confusion about chair covers (twice), but they made sure by double checking what package we got for our wedding. They are not afraid to apologize if they made a mistake or if there were little misunderstandings. I can't imagine how busy these ladies get trying to organize every function so little mistakes/confusion are bound to happen. With the ladies great organization skills, everything will turn out great, just trust them! I did not have to worry about helping at all with setting up the reception hallway with all the props I brought the day before, or setup inside the ballroom for the reception. They took care of everything while I got ready in the large bridal suite, stocked up with bubbly, variety if cheeses and crackers for the ladies to enjoy. The whole staff at Boundary Oak are exceptional. They made our wedding very speciall and turned out perfect!

Thank you Boundary Oak for making it happen for us!

I have coordinated quite a few events recently.  It's amazing to me how different the planning process can be, depending on how proactive the venue is. Boundary Oaks made my job very easy. The fees and charges were clearly laid out prior to the event. They did all the decorating and clean-up. There was plenty of staff on hand to assist us and answer questions during the event. The rooms were nicely laid out and spacious. They were even cool with us bringing in bagpipes. The food was delicious. The beef with garlic blue cheese aoli on brioche appetizer was so good, I was tempted to follow the plate around the room. The smoked salmon was fresh and complimented nicely by red onion and capers. The crab cakes weren't my cup of tea but it's tough to win them all. The beautifully plated salad, encircled with a cucumber wrap, was crisp and fresh. The cheese crumbles, pecans and vinegarette dressing all worked together to make a perfect starter. I chose the vegetarian option and I was so happy that I did! The pastry was light & flaky. The filling was a perfect balance of cheese and vegetables. The hints of hot sauce sprinkled around the plate, gave the hearty dish a perfect little kick. My husband selected the beef and I really enjoyed the bites I took. The beef was cooked well but still tender and that's exactly how I liked it. My only critique is that some of the staff lacked a bit of professionalism. In particular, I heard the F word twice and was asked, "Ya'll done with that?" (vs. May I take your plate?) It wasn't a big deal to me but I would have been disappointed if it was an event that accommodated children. We had plenty of room to dance and play a few games. All in all it turned out to be a lovely event and all the guests seem to have enjoyed themselves. I know that I did! More...

We met up and contacted our liaisons at the Clubhouse. Emily and Charlene were so helpful in helping us with planning wedding details and making sure the schedule was the way we wanted it for the wedding. We had a smooth time taste-testing the food that they would cater for the wedding. We liked the linens and table setting as well. The price and package was great since we negotiated a little with them.

Our wedding ceremony was held outdoors by the trellis. The view of the golf course and fountain was most beautiful! Our cocktail hour was in the clubhouse room overlooking the golf course which was lovely. We had our photo booth in that room. We had our family and friends photos by the trellis after the ceremony. Following, we had couple photos with our photographer by the boundary oak tree and we were allowed to drive a golf cart down, which was super fun!

The reception room was lovely with soft lighting and our red and cream color theme. The champagne toast was great, the food, and our additional vendors of a chocolate fountain fondue station. We also made use of the projector for our slide show. We had a sweetheart table which they decorated with candles and there was a nice silver sparkly decor behind us.

I loved this venue and fell in love with it after we viewed many in the bay area. This was the perfect place for us.

We had our wedding on August 31, 2014 and we couldn't be happier that we had our wedding at Boundary Oaks! We had shopped around at a few locations but Boundary Oaks blew us away - from the beautiful location/scenery, to the great food, to the wonderful staff (especially Emily and Charlene)! Location/Scenery - Stunning! Our ceremony was outside and the scenery was so beautiful that we barely had to decorate! It was a hot August day but our guests were so thankful to have cold water/champagne at the ceremony site to keep them nice and cool. The ballroom was the perfect size and chairs/tables/etc all looked perfect! Food - tasted exactly as we expected on our wedding night from our tasting. Our guests were talking about how great the passed hors d'oeuvres were - and they even set aside some for us at our seats since we didn't have time to try it during cocktail hour! Emily and Charlene - They were such a pleasure to work with - always responsive, extremely accommodating and thoughtful and I swear they bent over backwards to make the wedding as easy as possible for us. They kept me up to date on everything without me having to ask and they reminded me of important dates and information. I could go on and on about Emily and Charlene and how much they did for us but this review would never end! All I can say is Boundary Oaks is very lucky to have such a great duo! Thanks Emily and Charlene !

My only nitpick - I had a friend helping to ensure that everything went as we wished and during set up, the set up staff missed the bread plates for two of our tables. But they quickly fixed it when my friend mentioned it to them.

My fiancé and I booked our wedding date in January for a September wedding. I couldn't have asked for a more smooth and stress free process. Charlene and Emily were on top of everything, making sure all aspects of the on-site wedding details were taken care of. I never felt like something wasn't going to get done or that there were communication issues. These wonderful ladies are on top of it. On the day of the wedding, the bridal suite became like a pre-party, getting the bridal party, myself, and family ready for the big night. The ceremony and reception went off without a hitch. The entire staff that night was wonderful and service was impeccable. My husband and I were able to enjoy the night and able to focus on celebrating with friends and family. I had my wedding at the Clubhouse in June, and it was fantastic. The women that work in the event center were such a pleasure to work with. They stayed on top of due dates and scheduling so I didn't miss any important dates. They were also very forth-coming about any questions that I had.
I wanted a venue that had an outside area for the ceremony- with chairs, plugs for a DJ, and a nice view. I also needed a bridal suite for my bridesmaids and myself to get ready and a ballroom for the reception. When I first saw the ballroom, I thought it looked like every other one, so I opted to get uplighting from my DJ and that TOTALLY made that room shine.
The Clubhouse let my husband and I take goft carts to the big oak tree a bit away to take some nice photos, and we got a great deal on the open bar.
The food was amazingly good, and we got to have a free tasting for the two of us beforehand so we could choose entrees, etc. We had the venue for several hours- late into the night, so I didn't feel rushed. The venue was very accommodating to random requests - like giving my bridesmaid a private area to feed her newly born baby. They have tons of free parking, and all the supplies you'd need comes in the package price. I opted to upgrade the chairs to Chivari through them - it was well worth the price.
My only nitpicks - there was no plate or silverware at the cake table for cutting, so we ate our cake off the serving ware. And we didn't get to try all the appetizers, because we got to the cocktail hour later on (apparently one of our groomsmen was stalking the waiters, so a lot of our guests didn't get to try all the apps either). My suggestion would be to keep apps covered until the waiter is in the center of the room and save several for the b+g in the bridal suite or at the reception sweetheart table so we'd get to have them. I know my husband was a little annoyed he didn't get to try them. I got to try two that were saved in the suite - but we had a total of 6 apps.
