From out of town and these guys made me feel right at home. The kiddos had a great time and learned a lot!

Friendly and helpful staff make for a great community of enthusiasts. The cost is reasonable, and there is plenty to do here for all levels of climbers.

Fun variety of climbing routes, including great traverse routes. Great, helpful employees and when I go on weekday evenings, it's never super crowded like other notable climbing gym's in the Pittsburgh area. The Climbing Wall is like the Average Joe's compared to GloboGym from the movie Dodgeball, and I mean that in the best possible way. TCW feels down-to-earth and maintained by people who love to climb. It's my favorite climbing gym in the Pittsburgh area. My only negative, why it doesn't have 5 stars is that the floor mats aren't super great. There's not always great coverage on the floor for safety, but i've also never had any issue falling/jumping down safely. More...

Nice place. Difficult routes for sure. Good staff, floor is springboard and they also have pads. I guess the taping could be better but nit a big deal.

The climbing wall is reasonably priced. A safe place to climb, learn, hang with friends. Â Be careful...it is positively addicting!

Great spot for climbing, there's always kind and generous people hanging out and working out. The climbs here are more difficult than Ascend, and it's not as big. I would suggest Ascend if it's your first time climbing, but this place is great. The entrance is kinda strange; you have to walk into the building and then down a bunch of halls to get there, but stick with it. It's worth it. More...

Love the Climbing Wall. You have the option of renting shoes or bringing your own. There's a warm up area, a rope, and climbing walls. Fun place to get a good full body work out in. Also on Wed. it's ladies night and there's a special. Must check this place out if you live or are visiting Pittsburgh. More...

It's always a fun time at the Climbing Wall, no matter your skill level. The staff is friendly and helpful. The other climbers mainly keep to themselves but are generally up for conversation and giving tips if you are working on the same wall as them. The routes and landscape are always changing so it's always worth going back to see what's changed. More...

Great place to Boulder and top rope. A little expensive to do once but absolutely worth a pass if you climb.

Best place to rock climb! Way better than the competition. Their routes are set correctly according to skill level, their rocks have enough "rough" for friction without cutting up your hands, and the staff is always so friendly. I didn't catch her name, but the girl working Monday morning was super helpful. More...

The Climbing Wall is a fantastic place to practice your climbing skills or get a great upper body workout. Do note that these climbs are not your standard rock wall where you can choose your path up. The paths are marked by colored tape and an associate difficulty using the "V" system. The difficulty goes up quite rapidly as the V numbers increase, and beginners will find themselves stuck on a few of the very easy courses. The fun part is doing these easy ones over and over until you can manage tougher ones, and to watch experts handle the seemingly impossible ones. The staff is always friendly and available for any questions. They do offer climbing shoe and chalk rentals but they are not required. There are little cubbies (no locks) to store your stuff, and bathrooms and water fountains nearby in the building. They have packages and membership rates to encourage repeat visits. More...

Great bouldering gym. I'm about to explore the top roping area tomorrow when I do the belay certificate. Very excited for that. The Groupon deal for the month or 5-day punch pass is really worth it to get them too roping belay certification. The staff were super friendly and informative and even helped tape up my fingers when my calluses scraped off. Lots of routes to climb with fun overhangs and caves. They also have a mini gym area to work on upper body strength and cardio. More...

Staff is very friendly and interact with their member and guests which is awesome and makes you feel welcome. The routes range from beginner to advanced (V0 to v5). Top rope is limited but I'm happy it is an option but isn't open all the time. Appears they allow lead climbing as well. The 2 down sides are parking can be an issue as there is a grocery store and other gym facilities. Also on the saturday I went it got very crowded but it did have it's down times. I will be back in the future. More...
