We came across this cute and cozy joint  after trying tofind a nearby place to eat after my son's martial arts tournament at Whittier College. I ordered the tinga empanadas to start off with, and it tasted amazing. It was fluffy, flakey, and flavorful, especially with the green dipping sauce that it came with. The chicken and waffles was also tasty. The sweet and chili dipping sauce was a great pair, it really complemented the crispy chicken tenders. The servicer was attentive. Whittier needed this. Visited here a few times and like the variety to choose from especially the different sauces to go with your meal. The chicken is very tasty and I absolutely enjoy thier sweet potatoe fries! Kick back environment to watch a game and service is good every time I've gone. Martin at the chicken loop really knew the right item and sauces to order we  ordered the half chicken plate with jalapeño max n cheese , chimichurri and chipotle sauce and loved it! If you are a chicken lover, this is your place. The spicy chicken sandwich/strips are actually spicy and pack a punch, so you are warned. The wonton nachos are so delicious and they are very generous with toppings (not a bunch of dry chips on the bottom). The chicken strip basket comes with fries (upgrade to the garlic fries -they are covered in garlic and some sort of magic aioli sauce) and also comes with your choice of a dipping sauce (the green one is creamy cilantro and is also so good). Their appetizers are large enough for an entire meal or are great for sharing to sample everything this place has to offer. Online orders are always prepared quickly and packaged really nicely. Also: Chicken Koop has some of the best quality napkins I have even gotten in takeout - their attention to detail is amazing, their staff is great, and the chicken is slapping...what else can one want? Had dinner there last night for the first time and I loved it! Anna was a great server and guided us through the menu on specialties, what's the most loved items, and her personal favorites. My party went with the belly buster and upgraded to poutine fries on the side, loaded nachos, the spicy fried chicken sandwich.. we were full at the end but she sold us on a delicious waffle and ice cream dessert! Went in thinking I was going to get the Chicken pozole, but ended up ordering the Chicken Teriyaki Bowl. It was very good. There was a dressing that accompanied the bowl that was so so good. Also, the bowl had a cucumber salad that was unexpectedly delicious and refreshing. The chicken was yummy, too. There are so many different flavors that all melded together deliciously. First thing first, I'm a huge fried chicken sandwich enthusiast, I've tried so many fried chicken sandwich around the area and this spot is my FAVORITE SPOT. Hands down. Huge portions. Crunchy fries. You can't ask for more. The chicken is super juicy and just perfect with my beer. It definitely worth every penny and the cashier Yolie is always helpful and friendly to me. Slightly bias review as I haven't physically been to this location yet due to being brought this food by a family member. I am vegetarian and I ordered the tostada salad with no green sauce and chicken and dressing on the side . The salad was fresh, light, and had good taste, I couldn't get enough. The tostada shell itself was crunchy and delicious but I didn't have much do to my gluten sensitivity. The salad reminded me of a chipotle burrito bowl but I will definitely choose this over chipotle now because the flavor was excellent. I don't like olives, but surprisingly enough, the olives on this salad were my favorite part. I look forward to visiting this spot in person and I look forward to finding secret things on the menu that a vegetarian can enjoy! More...

Oh wow! For someone that doesn't care too much for chicken this place surprised me. I recently ordered two items of the menu. The pozole and the teriyaki bowl were extremely good. The bowl had a great flavor two different kinds of style chicken (shredded and chunk) both were super flavorful and not over powering. The pozole was amazing, I asked for everything in the side and added the sauce and all the other condiments myself. That sauce is fabulous, a bit spicy but wow the flavors are great. Like I said for someone who isn't a fan of eating chi ken this place has definitely become a favorite to eat. I haven't visited the actual restaurant because I have ordered my food both time for delivery. But I will be stopping by soon to check out the actual place. This is our first experience coming here and as soon as we walked through the door we were greeting warmly by a server named Juan! !!  after seating us he went over the menu with us and was super friendly. During the coarse of taking our order he saw that our table was doing that wobble thing it does when the floor is not even and immediately found a way to keep it from doing that!!! We are super happy with the customer service and dedication this man has to the establishment he works for! Keep it up Juan! I went there for the first time yesterday and ordered to go. When I got home I realized they got my order all wrong, grrr! I called and once the manager verified the order, he was extremely gracious and apologetic. Since I wasn't going to go back that day, I was allowed a 30 day credit. I returned today and claimed my credit. Order was perfect, the grilled chicken sandwich was delicious as was the cucumber salad. In all fairness, I tried the fried breaded chicken sandwich with house cabbage salad I was served the day before and it was also very yummy, just much more caloric of course! House sat for our friend and decided to try this place out. The best decision we made! Juan was our server and he was great! He matched our sense of humor and made the experience very enjoyable. One of my friends wasn't sure if he wanted the The Koop Virgin Michilada and Juan brought us a sample so we could try it out. The two waffle ones are The Belly Buster Sandwich, the one on the right with Poutine fries and the one on the left with garlic fries. It was really good already but adding syrup makes it even better! Between the waffle ones is the Chicken Wrap which was pretty good. I got the Fried Chicken Sandwich (with garlic fries) which was amazing with the Hawaiian bun, it made it slightly sweet but also savory. The Esquite is a MUST TRY if you like elote. This is the best chicken place I've been to in a long time. The French fries were outstanding; instead of the 'garlic fries' most places sell with insipid cheese and garlic greenery - these had garlic on them!  There was a problem: it was just before closing and they only had two pieces of fried chicken left. I traveled about 2 hours  to Whittier to try this place ! I was so excited that I forgot to check in on yelp but,  I took lots of pictures to show how amazing this place really is! ! This is definitely a hot spot! All the tables were in use! The people are so kind and the place has this homie feel about it, maybe because it's tiny and everyone is super friendly and all smiles. Our awesome servers Juan and Regina were very attentive to our needs. I must say I was disappointed to find out that they didn't have full bar service but Juan quickly offered us the next best thing! Micheladas!  Also, I am happy to share that from  speaking to Regina I did find out they are thinking of expanding the place and adding a full bar!  So, until then I will be sure to go to the Alhambra location for that Mezcal Margarita Flight. We placed our orders and within 25-30  minutes our food was hot and ready and it was so delicious! It completely made up for not having a full bar. We had  the Loaded Nachos Al Pastor and the chips are Won Tons!Such a game changer!! We also had the chicken strips but my favorite was the Spicy Chicken Sandwich (with a side of garlic fries)! The chicken was so crispy yet so juicy, the coleslaw was full of color, as for the spices and sauce they add gives the  sandwich that amazing kick! I absolutely loved the spicy chicken sandwich! This is a best chicken restaurant in town excellent service and really quick most importantly every single food that we ordered is delicious we ordered waffle chicken /roast chicken with Garlic empanadas and fried Oreo for desserts All the food has reasonable price and good portions!
