I was a first time visitor today and booked an appointment with Dee through the salon's website, based on what her profile said about her skills and experience with short hair. Dee was very friendly and made me feel comfortable right away. I was open to suggestions and knew I was in good hands once I heard her plan after our consult. Had a great consult + color with Jessica and a great haircut with another stylist as well (can't remember her name but she was lovely! ) I went in for a light blond balayage on hair that was very grown out. Jess was so kind, made me feel very comfortable and worked well and fast given my long, thick hair. When I returned home and the next morning, I wasn't 100% satisfied with the color, and felt it needed to be lighter and further up to the root to meet our agreed upon vision  -- a combination of miscommunication on both of our ends as well as getting to know each others' styles as a new client/stylist pair. I wasn't upset at all knowing the vibe of the place would likely be understanding, plus I'd spent quite a hefty sum on my two hair appointments and products to not be in love. I gave management a quick call and they were so kind and accomodating to let me drop back by the very next day for a follow up. Jess made sure I was satisfied with my new 'do and never once made me feel guilty for advocating for myself and making sure I left with hair that made me feel happy and beautiful. I decided to get a much needed haircut last minute and was able to make an appointment very quickly and easily on their website. I was able to get a last minute same day haircut which I've never been able to do anywhere else. Soooo convenient! Lida was my stylist and she took great care of me. I went in with an idea of what I wanted but still some unknown on of it would work with my hair and she was able to advise and help me decide on a style. I came back in for a fresh cut and style and Kevin Hyman did NOT disappoint. Not only is he a magician with a blow dryer, he was courteous, efficient, professional, and a pleasure to deal with. He answered any questions I had and was flexible when I needed to push my start time back. I really appreciated the time that Jessica and later Karney took to make sure that I was happy with the color of my hair. Jessica was patient with me and helped to explain how some of the processes worked . She also helped me understand how things like a Brazilian Blowout works (I will definitely be back for this). Although I was expecting more layers, both ladies explained why with ombre coloring it really would mess up the effect and having longer layers would be best. I appreciated being educated by them and not just told "no you don't want to do that." I'm the kind of person that always wants to know the why and the information about how things work and I really never had to ask as they seemed to care that I understood the why for everything. Ally went ABOVE AND BEYOND to achieve the hair color I wanted. I had dark black, virgin hair (typical for an asian). I wanted to have the silver balayage. She gave me the realistic viewpoint that the end results might not be what I completely wanted because it depended on how my hair will take on the process. She was right after 3-4 months with several hours of bleaching, toning (A LOT OF TONING), and ensuring my hair stays healthy. The results are BEYOND AMAZING. I love the silver/ash-brownish color that was accomplished. Not every salon can attain this color on dark hair without severe damage (from the harsh bleach). She gave me tips and suggestions with what products to use to maintain my hair color and healthy in the long run. Best advice and I take word for it. This review is waaaaay past due. About a year ago I called this place and took the first apt I could get with my crappy schedule. I got ally and am SO grateful every single visit I have with her. She took my super ugly dark hair to almost platinum blonde successfully IN A SUPER HEALTHY WAY. This was obviously done in several visits; it can't be done in one visit unless you want your hair to fall out. Ally will totally ask you what you want, look at any pics you have, and then tell you what she thinks will work and sometimes she has these awesome ideas that make my hair even better. Everyone at this salon is super sweet, super helpful, and honestly the best kind of people over the phone. I have been to Cherry Blossom twice in the new year and have nothing but great things to say, thanks to my experience with their new stylist - Kevin Hyman. I followed Kevin from his last salon because I knew I couldn't lose him as my go-to whenever I needed a great hair cut or simply a wash and refresh. Love the vibe here! The salon is super cute and in a very convenient part of the city !!! I see Lida and she is great! Very knowledgeable and she puts a lot of care into whatever she is doing to your hair ! I am blonde so I'm typically getting my highlights done and roots touched up. She also does my extensions. She does the micro beading technique and I love it! I would definitely recommend this salon and to see Lida. She is also good at color correction. I messed and and didn't see her a few times (only due to scheduling) and I do regret it because she had to end up fixing those mess ups that those other stylist did (it is hard in general to find someone who does a great job with blondes !! I love this place!! I've been seeing Ally for a couple years now and she is such a talented hair stylist! She's dealt with so many of my very different styles (purple, platinum blonde, side shave) and she always does a great job! She also cut my husbands hair once and it was the best cut he ever had! Tonight I got my brows done by Annie. This was a serious treat! Annie was so easy to talk to and she did a fantastic job with my brows.
