There are barely words to describe how gifted Sabrielle is.  This is the work she is meant to do and she does it better than anyone I've ever seen.  I tell her she should have her own TV show.  She's that good.  A few points - 1. She has our pup doing whatever it is she wants him to do, happily, in under an hour, every single time she visits.2. She educates us on (1) dogs, in general (2) dog behavior and (3) how to train, throughout each session.3. She knows that the sessions are as much about training the humans as they are about training the animal.4. She adapts well to different personalities and audiences.  As an example, my kids love learning from her.  They're more proactive and focused on training than I am now!  5. She's thorough.  She checks out the pup.  She checks out the people.  She checks out the house.  She assesses the environment and the dynamics, listens to what our needs are, and then delivers.  All these five star reviews are the real deal.  I recommend Sabrielle to anyone and everyone. I have never worked with a trainer before that did such a great communicating with the dog and getting the dog in a calm mood. And her training is not specific to one dog. She helped me with a very difficult rescue and all the tips she gave me have worked with my new dog. I think it's because she takes time to train and educate the owners. Unfortunately, she is not there 24 hours a day. But she always helped me with questions online. She is the best! More...

Sabrielle is an incredible trainer. I cannot recommend her highly enough! She took my wiggly Labrador puppy and helped turn him into a puppy that I am constantly getting compliments on. This was done with positive reinforcement training. She helped me to understand the stages he was going through and tailored every session to what my puppy was able to do. I can't say enough about Sabrielle and how she has worked with our Flint. We adopted him when he was about 6 months old and met Sabrielle at a puppy training class. She was great - and helped us feel more confident with him. We soon realized, however, that he had some socialization issues - great with dogs, not so much with people. I can count on 2 hands the number of humans he'll allow into our house. Sabrielle has continued to work with us - it's a process, not a one and done, which is what people need to realize. Fast forward to today - Flint is now 5, and Sabrielle continues to work with us and him..... and he absolutely loves her (as do we!). She never gets discouraged, and talks us off the ledge anytime we need it. Flint is such a love bug with us and with her, but still has fear of other humans. However, we know the steps we need to take to help him feel safe, and also know that consistency is key. She doesn't just train the dog, she trains you too.Sabrielle has trained, boarded, and simply showed up for neighborhood walks. She does it all - and we trust her with all our hearts. More...

I met Sabrielle 2 years ago while she and her employee Brad were walking a couple of dogs down the street from my home. She told of me she was a trainer and could help my husband and I train our 8 week old sheepadoodle that we would soon be bringing home. She came over before we brought him home to teach us how to puppy proof our home then she came over the day we got him to teach us how to train and deal with a puppy which is not easy at times. Boy can they wear you down and try your patience!!!  I'm very happy to say she still works with the 3 of us. I guess you could say we still need some fine tuning. I don't see how we could have done this without Sab's help. We have come to love her and trust her. She really knows how dogs (or any other kind of animal) think and behave. I don't think there's any scenario she can't deal with. I'm amazed by her wealth of knowledge of dogs and all different kinds of animals and how much love she has for them. My favorite experience with dog training!  I had tried petsmart with my dogs in the past and was only able to get basic commands.  I had tried very expensive training that made me send my dog away for a month (while they used unknown methods) and most recently I had tried training with a company that believed in using shock collars and seemed more interested in turning my family pet into an attack dog.  I was able to explain the issues I had in the past, the issues I'm having now and was able to have a real conversation with Sabrielle about how the training would work.  She uses positive reinforcement and got the great results right away.  She explained that I would need to train myself as well, showed me how to work with my dog and that really did make all the difference. Please take a moment to sit and really read this review.  I found Sabrielle from Yelp but in all honesty, I passed on calling her first because she had such great reviews. I know... sounds stupid but it was like she is too good to be true. I had already spoken to anyone and everyone to find help for Buddy.  Buddy is not my dog. Well... he wasn't mine.  He belonged to my Mother and her daughter in law.  They "shared" custody of him.  My mom knew nothing about his breed and actually thought he would grow to be a lot smaller and much much much more tame but she was convinced he was the perfect animal for her.  She's of age and only lives in Cali 4-6 months out of the year then returns home to the Philippines.  The other owner lived closed but had little to no time for him so Buddy was just there.  My parents tried to train him on their own by what they read on the internet and while he was a puppy, he was playful and definitely defiant.  My parents disciplined him like any old school parent would discipline a child which worked as well as walking in a circle to get to the spot in front of you. Buddy soon learned every bad behavior a dog could learn. He basically owned my parents.  We fought daily over him as I too owned a much smaller fluffier diva dog of my own and I was so worried Buddy would get a hold of her and kill her accidentally.  The arguing forced my parents to find professional Trainers and guess what They too found Sabrielle but passed on her after a couple sessions to take him all the way (40 min drive) to some other Trainer. Why Because this guy promised fast results (Sabrielle didn't)and boy did they get that.  He quickly learned not to be a dog and he was punished for even thinking about being what he was !  He was forced to wear a Shock Collar.  I witnessed this dogs happiness fade away. Buddy did many sessions with the other trainer. Did he learn to sit and all that jazz Yes BUT only with a BUZZ to tell him what to do and if he didn't do it, another BUZzzz.  He was "accidentally" super shocked (when it's turned up all the way) many times for just being silly.  It wasn't until his neck was RAW that my parents began to question the Method being used.  Fast forward a couple Months and it's time for my Parents to return home to the PI. Guess what?  No one knew what to do with the dog.  The other owner had told my mom she couldn't handle him and feared for her and her families safety. It wasn't until the day before my parents left that I offered to take him.  This was after I was told he would have to be dropped off at a shelter.  Hell no! He wasn't going anywhere. I know what happens to his breed. He didn't ask for all that was happening to him.  So ... there I was. I work long days and my children have hectic schedules so my time for him was little to none.  I began my search for dog boarding / training.  Buddy had to have his collar on because i didn't know how to control him but I never needed to shock him because just the site of the remote would have him in a corner.  After calling and emailing anyone here on yelp that said they "specialized" in behavior management and crying endlessly because I was failing at helping this animal, I emailed Sabrielle.  That was maybe a little over a month ago.  Buddy is almost done with a set of 6 sessions with Sabrielle.  We got him out on a walk today !  1/9/19.  Did he act out? Sure did ! But she knew just what to do and we made it home safe and sound.  She never lost her cool or patience.  She's just there for him and ME !  Lord knows I'm more work than him!  I'm pretty sure I've cried in front of her one time too many.  Buddy is slowly but surely becoming a dog again and Sabrielle is his Best Friend.  Like... he's hella sad when she leaves.  Hell, I am too.  I'm telling you.  She's the one.  It's like she was out here for this.  I know I missed a lot of what I wanted to say but I'll be back with updates on him.  Thank you Sabrielle!!!! Side note:  we also laugh a lot. She's hilarious and has taught me so much.  Like... what A bully stick is  hahahhahaha I'm joking but she really knows so much.  She's a true professional who truly loves her job.  You can NOT  find any better. The owner/ trainer of The Canines Voice is Sabrielle. She is extremely easy to deal with, and her methods work!My situation: We rescued a very young dog that had been passed around by several owners, had not been potty trained and was very human oriented ( no exposure to other dogs). The dog is a breed known for potentially destructive behavior due to boredom, and needs a lot of exercise. I have had 3 of these dogs in my life and felt confident she would be a great family dog- with proper training. The dog was reacting aggressively to noisemaking equipment and could hurt herself or us during using  the vacuum cleaner, chainsaw, leaf blower, cordless drill motor, etc.Sabrielle developed a game plan before our first session, brought props and treats. The hour session was such an eye opener for me! She quickly determined what my dog wanted for reward, and we worked together with desensitizing the dog to these noises. She is a true dog whisperer, and if you are honest with yourself, you must know that training your dog takes time, and work everyday by you!Sabrielle teaches you and helps you speak to your dog. She was hired because of her knowledge, her continuous desire to learn, and her insatiable love for animals. She was hired for all of those reasons, but she ended up training US. I will always recommend Sabrielle Melton to anyone that needs to learn most animal behaviour is NOT because of the animal being ‘bad or stubborn’. 95% of them time that animal does things because the owner has no idea that the owner needs to relearn their way of thinking. I can't recommend Sabrielle highly enough! She has completely changed our dog's life for the better :)At the time we found Sabrielle, we were almost resigned to the fact that training would always be a struggle with our dog. We had recently adopted him, and had quickly learned our dog had problems with pulling on the leash, anxiety, and high dog reactivity. We had already paid a large amount of money for our dog to go through a board and train program at a different trainer for 2 months, but he had come back way more anxious and more dog-reactive than he used to be. The other trainer had also told me that our dog could never be obedient without using harsh training tools for the rest of his life, since he was a "difficult, stubborn dog".After that experience, training with Sabrielle was a breath of fresh air. Within the first session, she quickly had our dog walking right next to her, with his full focus on her, with completely POSITIVE reinforcement and absolutely no training tools other than a plain harness, leash, and some treats. It was amazing to see and very encouraging for us!!Sabrielle worked closely with us and we learned many tips and tricks for learning our dog's body language and figuring out what he best responds to in distracting situations.By just our second session, even we were able to have our dog walking with us all of the time on a loose leash! We are continuing to work with Sabrielle on our dog's reactivity, and he has taken great strides for the better. We can now walk with him in crowded parks with ease, which used to be a major undertaking and highly stressful situation in the past. We still have new victories every week with our dog's reactivity to other dogs decreasing over time.Sabrielle truly understands every individual dog's needs and she will work with you as if your dog is her own. Highly recommend if you want your dog to have a truly positive experience with training. More...

I have consulted with Sabrielle about three different dogs with completely different issues and she has been wonderful. I've been rescuing dogs for 15+ years and have worked with over a dozen trainers, and Sabrielle has impressed me the most of all of them. I consider myself pretty well-versed in training, but my new foster had me stumped with some of her quirky behaviors!  Sabrielle is like a detective and knew exactly what questions to ask me to figure out the appropriate course to take with my foster.  She is not a one-size-fits-all trainer, which I find to be very unique among trainers, and it seems as if she has dealt with every undesirable and odd behavior under the sun!  I really liked that she gave me reading materials that were tailored to my dogs' specific issues and showed me how train my dogs - being a rescuer, I have limited finances to spend on training. Therefore, I need to be able to have sufficient information to do most of the work myself, so even if you're on a budget and can't afford to do ongoing weekly training, you can still get a lot out of fewer sessions if need be.
