I have been grooming for about a year now and reached out to get some shears when I first started. The owner taught me about the different types and what they are for and recommended a 4 piece set to get me started. .. well 19... yes, 19 pairs of Farah shears later I can without a doubt say this company is AMAZING, amazing competitive quality, great prices, and awesome customer service. Stephanie the owner really has all of us groomers best interest at heart and Mary her newest addition to the team makes them a perfect power duo, killing the game. I can't begin to describe the relief I felt when leaving with my beautifully  groomed poochon pup!  I have never been more pleased with an experience for my dog. .. Randi is professional and affable.  I can't wait to bring my dog back to visit her again!The shop is located in a very accessible area of studio city.  Close to many shops and restaurants that you can visit if you choose to wait while your dog is being serviced.  Lots of parking off Whitsett! I was in search of a good pair of convex shears so I took a chance on a small company and couldn’t be happier. These shears have given Me a surge of energy for my continued grooming education. So I got my order in the mail a few days ago. I purchased a Franky slicker brush, a Stella slicker brush, and a pink comb. I was able to use them today on a toy poodle, and a Goldendoodle. They are AMAZING. The brushes are phenomenal at gently brushing tangles out, and removing undercoat. The comb was PERFECT for getting in all of the areas that I couldn't with my large comb (not purchased from Farah Shears). The quality blew me away. Randi groomed our new rescue dog Zoe who was VERY neglected by the shelter unfortunately.  Zoe was extremely matted and disgustingly filthy when I brought her in and came out looking beyond incredible.  Randi told me that she wanted to take things easy for Zoe's first grooming so that it would be a good experience for her, which I thought was a wonderful philosophy.  Randi is calm and loving and definitely knows what she is doing.  I feel extremely lucky to have found my forever groomer! First, let me say that I've had standard poodles for 25 years and have worked with many groomers as I've moved from city to city, landing eventually in Los Angeles. Matti, the groomer who works here on Mondays, has my highest recommendation, without reservation. She's smart, she's skilled, and she holds her work to a very high standard. Matti has taken excellent care of my poodles as well as my friends' dogs of all sizes and needs.  I've followed Matti from previous shops as she's grown professionally; I'm more loyal to Matti, my groomer, than I have been with any hair stylist.  And I don't trust many people to use scissors near my head.
