Hey adults, out there Adulting: does your week have *play* in it? I have one class left in my Level 1 Improv training. These Monday evening classes have injected energy and creativity into my week and introduced me to some new friends--each one in a different place in life than I am, but we all play together on stage. I'm sad that level 1 is ending, but I'm excited for level 2, and I'm auditioning with teams at The Box, so I won't have to go without my new high for long. (Plus, a lot of improv you can play with anyone who has an open mind. With kids? Easy. With a stranger in a queue? Sure!) More...

I took the Improv for Everyone classes which are basically an introduction to Improv. Arriving for our first class, I was very nervous. .....for about 10 minutes. Before I left class one, I was already looking forward to class two. The instructors, Alain and Michele were so supportive and led us through all of our warm ups and games with ease and tons of enthusiasm. We knew from the very beginning, the final class would be our Showcase (meaning we would perform in front of an audience). Each week, we built upon what we had learned in the prior week. When the last class arrived, we were all very nervous about the Showcase and, again, Alain and Michele did much to allay our fears. Once we were started, it was so much fun and the games moved so quickly, it was over before we knew it. We did it!! For anyone who has ever thought they might want to give improv a try, I highly recommend checking out the classes at The Box. I promise, you will not regret it. More...

I didn't know what to expect going in, and just took the class to help with performance anxiety. Mission accomplished. The entire class was so supportive and fun, and our instructors, Crystal and Alain, were no less than amazing. The best and saddest day was the last day of class. It was only sad because the class was over. Just let me know when the second tier class starts and I am there! For anyone on the fence about signing up for a class, by all means do it. The worst thing that could happen is having a great time with new friends. If Facebook would still let people leave five-star reviews, I would give The Box TEN stars! More...

This is a special space. So many inspiring and warm-hearted talents walk these grounds. I'm happy to have spent many months learning and growing in their light. The instructors are nurturing and constructive which is exactly what an environment must consist of in any space of learning difficult craft. Definitely a safe place. You won't regret your time spent with these folks. Thanks for lighting up my life! More...

We had The Box come out for my husband's 40th birthday party. The guys were hilarious! Darryl and Paul were so great and very spontaneous with the crowd. They were very easy to work with and customized things just for our party. I wasn't sure, only having two guys, if they would be able to hold the audiences attention but they did a fantastic job! My husband absolutely loved it as well as the rest of the party. I highly recommend them for private engagements. I can't wait to see one of their live shows! Crystal, who runs the office, was also extremely helpful and flexible and very easy to work with. If they had a rating higher than five stars I would give that to them! Highly recommend!!! More...

Last night was my second visit, the first being March 18. This is a DIFFERENT kind of entertainment and it's pretty darn good. It's live, unrehearsed and chock full of creative energy. The players are still learning their craft, but they try really really hard. One can't help but get wrapped up in the performance. The audience is constantly being engaged too...being asked to clap in rhythm, shout out suggestions or yell for their "team". Unique fun! Memorable! More...
