I do not know where or how to start!  Lyndsi is incredible.  My dog has gone to several obedience and socialization classes.  He's a 10 month old lab (american) and what this woman does is just priceless.  He has been with her now about 2.5 weeks and I don't know how to express how amazing Lyndsi and her team are.  It is worth every penny.  Feel free to call me or email me if you want more details.  503.803.7758 paige.stefani@where-inc.…Do not hesitate!!  I've spent thousands on training and probably given away 6 crates.....Lyndsi saved my life-I have the best balanced dog now and I am so happy I took a chance on Lyndsi.  She goes above and beyond and she knows what she is doing.  She is a pro! Starbuck always comes home happy and exhausted. One of the few places that has a human with the dogs over night. I can relax and know he is in the best care.

Lyndsi and her team are awesome !!!! We were looking for a trainer to help us with our 2 rescue dogs. We have worked with other trainers and took classes at the humane society and we weren't getting results. We were lucky to come across TBD team. Both of our dogs have different issues from lunging at other dogs and one has some serious anxiety issues with meeting people. In a couple months we learned the dogs do like other dogs and can play nicely with others. We highly recommend the TBD team! More...

We really can't thank Lyndsi and her team enough!  Lyndsi whipped our two boys (3-year-old rescues) into shape in 6 weeks.  She offers many services, including board & trains, structured walks for leash manners, socialization playgroups, and $10 socialization group walks at Mt. Tabor every Saturday.  She uses positive reinforcement and is the closest I've seen to a dog whisperer. Thank you, Lyndsi & team! More...

Lyndsi is the only person we would trust with our dog! It is so great to see Caleb (our dog) get excited when we run into her at the park. He has some trust issues and it is hard for him to build a bond with people so it is great to see he so quickly did that with Lyndsi! More...

We have two high energy Vizsla littermates that were a real handful until we met Lyndsi. She has changed our lives. Lyndsi has an uncanny knack of understanding a dog's mind and can explain what is really going on in the canine brain. We can't recommend her intuitive training techniques enough. Her Canine Good Citizen Class is excellent. More...

I have spent hundred of dollars, consulted veterinarians and experts, medicated, and have gone to special classes for reactive dogs.
I contacted Lyndsi for "belly rub visits" only. I did not want ANYONE to walk my extremely reactive pit boo! I was apprehensive when Lyndsi suggested it. Simon walked better with her in the first session than he ever had with any of my previous attempts of behavior mod, and because I was not expecting her to want to walk him - he wasn't even medicated!!!
I was extremely impressed with her stern, yet caring "corrections" (not really corrections, just getting his attention). I had essentially given up on ever walking him like a normal dog, but with Lyndsi's help, I have hope that we might make it down the street without causing a scene!

I can't overstate how much training with Lyndsi has changed my life. I had so much background stress about my rescue dog who was nice to me but lunged on leash, menaced my guests, and nipped to protect things dropped on the floor. Now, Lyndsi has trained me to lead my dog--I can walk him, command him to "leave it", and instruct him to relax when I have people over. And the pack walk reinforces his learning in a social setting with other growing masters of their dogs. Thank you, Lyndsi! More...

Lyndsi's CGC class is amazing. She really tailors the class to what each student needs, not just check off the list of things for the test. If a dog needs extra help with being greeted by strangers she makes sure to include extra practice. Lyndsi also has a lot of experience with reactive dogs, helping dogs and handlers be successful with where they are at. More...

Love love love love lynsdi. I "interviewed" about 4 different walkers/trainers for my rowdy pitty. I knew that Balanced Dog was the one when my dog wouldn't come to greet me when I got home after work. She wore my pooch out so good that it hurt my feelings, in a good way. ;-) This girl knows what she's doing! I'm so glad I found The Balanced Dog! More...

Just wanted to share how much we appreciate Lyndsi's expertise. River is a very high energy dog and we take her on ton of walks and hikes and yet she still continued to want more. After analyzing River, Lyndsi recommended day time hikes and bike rides to help tire River out during the day. This was the perfect prescription. During the last few weeks, River is much more calm at night and it is clear that Lyndsi's techniques have made huge improvements. River is not only more calm at night, but she is less reactionary and this has made training a more positive experience. I wish we would have met Lyndsi a long time ago.

We are very pleased with Lyndsi's techniques and she has really helped to take River's training to the next level. Thank you Lyndsi!

My German pinscher Ferous has been going on the pack walks for well over a year and really enjoys them... he always returns from his adventures happy & tired. The level of training & socialization he gets from going on these pack hikes without me is invaluable for both of us and makes our time together even more enjoyable. He is amazing with all other dogs we encounter and is very responsive to recall commands. My only warning is: beware, your dog will fall in love with Lyndsi and you might feel a little sad when your baby is so happy to see her that he practically jumps into her lap every week... and then you get really happy because they're off on a grand adventure and you have some guilt free dog-free time to do whatever it is humans do without thier dogs these days. We are beyond grateful and happy with Lyndsi, her methods, and her staff.  We came to her with our boxer boy after he was already 3 years old and really needed help learning other canines cues. After utilizing a few training sessions, in Home visit, pack walks, and pack hikes-I can say Rafi is a more comfortable and confident dog! I recommend checking our Lyndsi's services if you've ever found yourself thinking "I need some help with my dog." You will be glad you did.  Her methods work, she loves and understands dogs, and is a pleasure to work with. We will be signing up for a hike package since I will have a baby in t minus a few weeks and feel even better now that my pup will be well exercised. More...

I met Lyndsi by chance while out at a park one afternoon with my dog.  She told me about  two services she offers that I've since utilized.  Both have been a great help to me and my four legged best friend. Her Saturday meetup session at Mt Tabor was a great way to work on my overly excited dog's behavior when around other dogs and people.  We started out by meeting in the parking lot at the visitors center where each dog received a colored neck hankie to designate their behavior.  She then proceeded to give helpful instructions on curbing unwanted behavior and answered questions.  Next we formed a line and started our hike during which she continued to offer helpful guidance to all of us in the group.  We stopped a few times on the hike to run through additional exercises intended to teach the pooches on proper social interaction.  By the time we got home my pup was exercised and already better behaved. Her other service I use is the pack outings where she takes small groups of dogs to 1000 Acres park.  Once a week she picks up my pup and takes him for his adventure.  He comes home obviously happy from his play date and settles in for a long nap shortly after.  Both services are very reasonably priced.  She's creative and tenacious when it comes to trying to find solutions to my pup's behavior problems.  More importantly I trust her with my beloved furball.   Both of us are glad we ran into her that day. Lyndsi gets it. She's practical and even if she loves your dog, non-emotional. She's not certified in dog behavior and doesn't claim to be, but her no-bullshit ways work. We have a leash-reactive Saint Bernard who has really come a long way.I've been thru a few other trainers and she's the only one to tackle the problem head on. She often uses her dogs to help socialize other dogs. I don't know many other trainers that would put their dog in a yard with a potentially aggressive 105lb dog. In addition to training, Lyndsi does pack walks/hikes to wear your dog out and socialize them. If training is out of your price range, look up The Balanced Dog on Meetups and schedule yourself to join the pack walk on Saturdays at Mt. Tabor. This has been the most helpful thing for socializing our dog. It's not just a walk, Lyndsi will give you tid bits on training and how to deal with your horrible dog. She genuinely wants to help and isn't just looking to make a cash cow out of you. More...
