The paint and wine scene has been pretty popular, and options are everywhere. I found this location to be convenient for those who are booking last minute! They have a lot of classes available and if you're lucky you also have options of what you'll be drawing that day.The room is very long and narrow. Luckily my group was very small so we all had a good seat right by the instructor. They offered up some cheese and crackers to snack on, and even had some cookies! If you are attending the wine night, they also have glasses available if you forgot to bring cups of your own.We are provided with a few brushes and some paint to use and mix on our own. The instructor guides you through most of it, but doesn't give too much instruction. For those who want a very thorough lesson, this is not the most ideal location to learn that. This was more about exploring the paints on your own, mixing the colors the way you want, and just go with the flow. Â All of our paintings looked really different by the end of the lesson! My friend and I book tickets for a Brunch and Paint for Saturday, October 5, 2019 at 2:00pm-4:30pm. When we arrive the place is closed. We tried calling them but it only leads to an automated voicemail. There was no communication ahead of time letting us know there would be any changes to our reservation. Â I'll be attempting to get a refund since I didn't get the service I paid for.UPDATE: Melissa, the owner, reached out and apologized for the instructor's schedule mix up and for any inconveniences. Â She has also been accommodating and welcoming to future events. We got a Groupon for the Art Room LA in Glendale. However I was running into some problems redeeming the Groupon online (the ending balance wasn't 0). Because of this, I decided to call. After calling and texting multiple times without any answer, I sleuthed for an email. I got a reply a day later. So I would definitely recommend emailing them at theartroomla@yahoo.com instead of calling or texting their number. Booking the class was a bit inconvenient, but the painting experience was great! The class ended up being only my friend and I, and so we got a really personalized class with our wonderful instructor Selena! She did such a great job with explaining what she was doing as well as giving us tips and encouragement. Because the room is basically a long hallway, I think as long as your class is below 8, You would still be able to see the canvas and hear what the instructor is saying. We were able to drink the wine I brought and the Art Room LA provided us with some crackers and cheese. At the end of the night, we both felt really satisfied with our paintings! First time ever doing something like this. I booked this as a celebration for my friends birthday and she enjoyed herself. We were actually at the upland location and it's tucked away on a street off of 2nd in downtown. Our guide was nice, she quickly set up another station when we told her we had added another person to our group. She kept us entertained and walked around to check in on us while we did our paintings. Her instructions were clear. The one setback was a lack of wine. All I can say is wowisii!! I had a very fun paint session with Ale as the instructor. I scheduled a session for a lighthouse painting. Painting is not my forte, but with Ale's instruction, the painting was very easy to do. Ale was patient with my friend and me, she even provided feedback and helped us create amazing paintings. In the end, my friend and I felt like Frida Kahlo. Ale was great, the ambient she provided in the studio was relaxing. Plus, the cheese and crackers that were provided to us were delicious.I will DEFINITELY schedule another paint session at the studio. Would definitely recommend The Art Room for Wine & Paint! I scheduled a session on a Wednesday afternoon for my friend who was visiting from Italy and when we got there it ended up being a private lesson. I was so pleased to find out that they didn't cancel it given the small size, and that instead we got personal attention from our instructor Alex. Alex was patient and took her time teaching us how to mix the right colors and get the painting as realistic as possible. She even stayed later because my friend and I were having so much fun adding finishing touches to our paintings. I could not have planned a better night for my friend, and we both walked away extremely pleased with our paintings and the service! Thank you Alex!! I just want to say that if you've never painted and always wanted to this is the PLACE ! We had the best time , we had a party of 6 a private party which was in their outside back area  the mod was perfect. What an amazing experience! We celebrated my sister n law's birthday this April 16th and had a blast. I hosted a "Bridal Shower" at The Art Room LA and it was an amazing experience! Melissa accommodated my group at the last minute, on a holiday, and on a Sunday- which was incredible. Our instructor, Alex allowed me to customize the painting the day of. She really made the experience perfect. Alex was engaging, used her phone to play music and allowed us to request songs/artists, and assisted us every step of the way. I was able to bring food and drinks and to completely transform and decorate the venue. The venue is intimate, in a great location, and there are a lot of options for parking nearby. I went here with my mom for a paint and sip. It was fun and the atmosphere was super welcoming and friendly, I do think it's a little bit silly to call it a paint & sip if it's BYOB when most paint & sips always include wine. But I think most people probably like this way better because there's no limit to how much you can drink, and people were DRUNK! (That's a good thing in my book). The instructor was truly not a good painter but it's supposed to be fun, not an actual art class. Wow! Â This is a hidden gem for kids birthday parties! My wife reserved a private painting party for 8 kids for my daughter's 11th birthday for under $200, which is incredible considering the 3 hour length and personalized teaching. Â My wife chose a complicated picture of a peacock to paint, but amazingly, despite their age, everyone went home with a unique masterpiece. Their parents were thrilled. I took a class with a date and it was just the two of us on a Fri morning. Our instructor, Alex, helped the two of us paint unicorns and she was very encouraging and patient. We also had fun conversations and she even recommended other things to check out in the area which we ended up following through with and enjoying as well. I had such a wonderful experience at The Art Room LA and would highly recommend it. I came here on a Wednesday in the early afternoon and for the price of $22 per person, I thought it was absolutely worth it. The class was bring your own wine, but we were provided with some crackers, cheese, and cookies before the start of the class. Â Alex, our teacher, was so friendly and helped us paint a sunset on a beach. I was intimidated at first about how complex the painting looked, but Alex helped us every step of the way and kept us entertained too throughout the class. Had the most wonderful experience here! So my best friend decided last minute that she wanted to celebrate her birthday (after insisting for weeks that she didn't want to do anything) with a very specific activity - having everyone paint portraits of the love of her life. ..her dog :) I thought it would be impossible to find someplace to accommodate us with a custom image on such short notice, but Melissa was able to save the day! It was so easy to book, and she was very patient with us choosing the right picture. Abby our instructor was amazing, all ready with an example painting and guiding those of us who are less than artistically inclined. Trying to plan fun date nights for my bf and I can sometimes be tricky. My bf is an Art History Major, so the Art Room seemed right up his alley. We absolutely love wine so that was a major plus. When we arrived to the Art Room we were pleased to find a quaint little art studio and we were greeted by the fabulous Ms. Jennifer. Jennifer was extremely patient with us and even gave my partner positive feedback when his painting wasn't all that great. They provide cheese and crackers, and all the necessary materials for the painting. You can bring your own bottle of wine to sip on while you paint. Purchased a Groupon and went here with my husband yesterday. Our instructor Alex was knowledgeable, funny, and super friendly. We brought our own wine and expected to have some cheese and crackers (as described in the Groupon), but they had some almond pastries instead. I have always wanted to try the wine and paint events, but never really came around it. I thought it would be a bit boring and it never seemed to have been on my list of musts. However my friend txted me one day and said he had a deal or something for it. I thought he was joking at first but I said I was down and to his surprise, I was interested as well lol. Soooo it all worked out :) They have street parking. It's a bit hard to find the store since it looks a bit hidden but it's near Bon Vivant. As we walked in, the venue is small and narrow. I can imagine it would get pretty hot inside if they had no ac. Small but cozy. We were greeted with cheese and crackers, which is always a plus. Especially if it's complimentary. They have a bathroom inside so not to worry. The canvas was all set along the long communal tables with some paint, brushes and water. You can check their schedule online. It says the price, shows the painting and instructor. I believe prices range from $25-$35 depending on the paining and level. Ours seemed pretty beginner level so that was plus since I suck at drawing. And I mean stick figure suck. I believe they have options of small or big groups, as well as private parties. I always see pictures of lots of people doing this so I thought it would be interesting to have a semi big group just to see how it would be with a bunch of people buzzed from wine. Sad to say it was just my friend and I. There was supposed to be 2 other people but they never showed up. More cheese and crackers for us! Although we did not experience the group atmosphere, my friend and I (mostly myself) got pretty buzzed. We brought 2 bottles of wine and finished both. Luckily the lady had a wine opener. The instructor was sweet. She mentioned she was a full time artist but  it was her first time doing one of these sip and draw events. She was pretty helpful with the instructions. I always thought I would have felt relaxed doing this but I was actually pretty frustrated haha. Mostly because I have a bit of OCD and a perfectionist. Thanks to Selena! Selena was an awesome guide and teacher! Very knowledgeable, kind, and relatable to first time painters. Â My girlfriend and I had the best time at ArtroomLa and would recommend this event to everyone! Â Painting at this location is much better than painting in a restaurant, like other places offer.
