This place was recommended to me by my service tech at the local Cheve dealership as a place to have lunch while waiting for my trucks service. I ordered the lunch size of Chicken Panang Curry with brown rice, 2 stars for my spicy preference. First, let me say that while I had a tiny bit of a difficult time understanding the waitress she tried really hard to correspond with me, even though she was busy. I was impressed with the speed she kept up waiting and cleaning tables. Now, to praise for my lunch. I have never had better curry (and I make my own as often as I can)! The nuances of flavors were delightful! Spice level was perfect for me; but truly impressive was the fact that the chicken wasn't tough or shredded, it had been tenderized, sliced into mouth sized bites, and quickly pan fried. Perfect amount of bell pepper bites and Thai basil. The brown rice was also perfectly cooked for me, it had a bit of a chewy bite that I appreciate. So Yelp wants me to address "Ambiance": the restaurant is small, has great art on the walls, lots of dark wood so a little dark. Everything looked clean. We had Thai Wisdom Bistro cater our company lunch this week. We ordered one catering package for most of our attendees and a smaller package for those with dietary restrictions (vegetarian and gluten-free). Paul was very easy to work, was quick to communicate with us, and delivered our order on time. For our company lunches, we feed over 80 attendees so it's important for us to have enough food for everyone and the catering portions at Thai Wisdom were very generous and tasted great. We also appreciated that Paul labeled the containers and even warned us that some of the lids were sharp. I hate to update this, but I think we've given Thai Wisdom the last try. We loved this place and ordered regularly, but lately it seems the quality has really gone downhill. They never seem to pay attention to spice level - our stir fry that was a level 4 tasted like a 1, and the rice that was a level 2 tasted like a 5. The stir fry dish that was over $20 was mostly carrot and onion with a few pieces of beef, maybe 1-2 mushrooms and broccoli heads. All of the food I've had here was surprisingly good. Lots of interesting dishes I haven't seen elsewhere, lots of fresh vegetables, wonderfully tasty, beautifully plated, and large portions. I'd say it's the best Thai food I've ever had. Beyond that, the service is great, decor is lovely, seating is comfortable and intimate in the booths. My fiancée and I have tried 5+ Thai resturants on the Eastside and this is one of our favorites! We usually order the Tom Yum soup because it is hearty with lots of vegetables and full of flavor. The Panang Curry not only looks great with garnishes, but tastes great. The Pad See Ew has a strong, savory flavor. Also, we like how the restaurant is decorated with lots of cool lights. Small Thai restaurant in a plaza near the Kirkland Costco. The plaza was pretty busy on a weeknight. The restaurant was half full. Nice interior with some Thai mythology paintings on one of the walls. Menu is pretty good sized. In addition to the standard noodle, rice and curry, they have good number of specialty dishes and desserts. I got the Thai iced tea for drinks. Very good, and quite sweet. For entree, I got the drunken noodles with beef and level 2 spice (out of 5). Spice level was noticeable, but not overwhelming. Their drunken noodles are on the sweet side. My friend got the crunchy garlic chicken, which was plated nicely in a pile. It is fried boneless chicken bits and certainly very crunchy. Finally, got the fried banana which comes with whipped cream, coconut ice cream and drizzle of some fruit sauce. Found the coconut ice cream to be the tastiest thing on that plate. This is my absolute FAVORITE Thai restaurant on the Eastside! I came here with some friends for lunch and was pleasantly surprised that they offer $15 lunch combos from 11-3pm, and for an additional $3, you can add a Thai iced tea! Seriously such a great deal! The service was amazing. Unlike other Asian restaurants, I didn't feel like I had to flag the waiter down when I needed more water or assistance. They were always checking up on us to make sure we had what we needed. The restaurant itself was nice and clean and tastefully decorated. It was not overly loud and I could have a conversation with friends. The food was amazing!! It tasted authentic and delicious.They served big portions and we all had leftovers to bring home. Their pad thai is bomb. I had lunch combo. Grande combo. Good value. it comes with one spring roll and thai tea in addition to their typical lunch combo. Really yummy Pad Thai! Gotten take out/delivery here a few times as I work nearby. Ordered lunch for my team one day and they all loved it and we're now repeat customers! Lunch portion of pad Thai was huge. Ate about half and I was stuffed! 2 stars was the perfect amount of spice. I also like that they didn't serve with bean sprouts. I'm not a sprout fan and I feel like a lot of Thai places overdo it in order to make portion seem larger. Theirs came with perfectly thin sliced carrots and some purple cabbage. We found this place through a local Facebook page and love it! The owner reached out a gave us a discount for our first visit. There was no wait and we were greeted by all the staff. They quickly brought water and took our orders. We got the Panang Curry with veggies and the crispy garlic chicken. The panang curry was super flavorful and had the perfect amount of spice. My boyfriend and I were running errands at the Costco nearby and were craving Thai food. I saw great reviews on Yelp for this place and we decided to check it out. There is plenty of parking in the plaza and the restaurant is easy to find. Upon entering, we were greeted quickly by the hostess. She was super attentive throughout our meal :) I think they take reviews seriously because I had read a review on how dimly lit the place was but I saw they had put up fairy lights to help brighten the place up. We ordered the lychee Thai tea and the Thai iced tea, both were great! The Thai iced tea had this caramel flavor to it that was really yummy. My boyfriend ordered the chicken panang curry 3 stars and I got the chicken Rama noodle 2 stars. The spice levels were good for us and both dishes were delicious! I come here at least 3-4+ times a month, I ate here yesterday with my family and ordered the yellow curry with vegetables and asked for broccoli and potatoes for the vegetables. The curry arrived without the onion, carrot, and cashew as stated on the menu. I asked them to add the it and they said it would be a $2 charge. Why would you charge me $2 for ingredients that should already be in the food? I said fine, because the waitress didn't speak very good English and I didn't want to argue. I didn't provide a "negative" review, this is an honest review of my experience. I gave feedback, which was generally positive and included praise for the staff and some of our food quality. Sending back the food or requesting a remake wasn't going to change my concerns or opinions. Asking for a refund for food I consumed wasn't necessary, nor would it change my rating that this was not a 5 star experience for Thai food. On my old yelp this place was a five star for 7 years. I've been coming here since 2015 and it was my top 3 in favorite restaurants on the Eastside. They have really gone down in quality while their prices have gone up. So tonight I asked for extra sauce since the past few times we noticed you don't get as much sauce or meat but lots of extra vegetables. Our friends are regular customers here and we were told this place was good so decided to try it. Excellent Thai food! I ordered the crispy garlic chicken and emperor noodles for takeout. The chicken was great, my husband really enjoyed how flavorful it was. Most other Thai restaurants we've eaten at before make this dish pretty salty but this was just right with rice. The crispy noodles were my favorite it was amazing the heaping amount of sauce they gave us which also came with a lot of pork as well. Overall great service and food. Came by on the rec of some friends, tried the chu chi trout - spice level 3 deep fried trout smothered in a panang curry sauce with some veg and served with brown rice $20. It's a different twist on how I've had deep fried trout before, would say that it's exactly what I expected, didn't wow me, but I'd probably try a different trout the next time - maybe the the three flavor trout? This is probably one of the best thai foods available around the Kirkland/Bellevue/Redmond area and I have been to a bunch! I forgot the name of the dish, but it is the one with the Thai sauce and it was amazing. They mentioned that they make their sauce locally and they actually sell it in bottles too. In addition, the price is also phenomenal especially for Kirkland where almost everything is gonna be at least around 15+ especially for such huge servings. I have been around the block a few times in terms of Thai Food. Globally. And this is truly one of the best Thai Cuisine restaurants I have experienced. It is clearly made with care. I wanted to try this Thai joint based on the Yelp reviews and am glad I did! They offer a 10% off with a Yelp check in which is nice. I ordered the Prik king fried rice and the red curry. The Prik King fried rice was really good. Ordered a spice level of 3 for both but could have gone to 4 for the curry. Service was quick and the food also came to the table fairly quickly. They said their spice levels are actual Thai spice level and hence I didn't want it to be too spicy for me. I will definitely be back to try some of their other rice offerings and Pad Thai or may be soups. Portion size was decent but could have been more for the price. They offer a lunch menu but the cost is the same ($15) for standard dishes whether it off of the entree menu or lunch specials. This is Amazing Thai Spot!! The food is extremely flavorful and delicious, we predominantly eat sea food and vegetable dishes here. Do try their king of cashew with tofu (it's epic!). The staff is awesome (polite, friendly and fast) and the place seats upto 30 folks easily. This is a solid Thai place, one of the best on the Eastside that I've found so far for standard Thai dishes. It has the second best Pad Thai, the best pineapple fried rice, and good curry. The service was also friendly and quick. It's definitely worth checking out. The one dish that wasn't great was the chicken satay. It was dry and didn't have much flavor. Have had lunch there twice. The food and service are awesome! I feel lucky we found this place because the quality at long mainstays of Thai (such as Bai Tong) in this area have slipped greatly. This is our new go-to for Thai.
