This place is great! My wife and I both really enjoyed our meals. And, unlike other Thai places we've been to around here, they have reasonable prices, generous portions, and excellent service.
We got two meals and the total was less than $26.
5 stars in every respect!

I haven't dined in. But someone recommended this place. Since I LOVE Thai food, I came in and ordered to go. Someone helped me right away. The girls were super sweet, awesome and very helpful in explaining the food to me. They knew the menu very well and because of that, it was very easy to order exactly what I wanted. My friend and I went here together recently and I got a great first impression. I haven't been to Thai since I moved here and was pleasantly surprised. The waitresses were very friendly and very on top of service! I never had to ask for anything. They have tons of choices on the menu too. The Pad Thai I got was great, along with the potsticker appetizer. Fair prices and nice atmosphere and it's fun overlooking Salem while you eat. I'm sure I'll be back again. More...

We were roaming around in down town in search of a restaurnat. We looked at this place and thought of trying Thai for once. The place is huge huge and the best part are the windows makes the place look bright and sunny. The waitress was very polite and couteous. We ordered Thai ice tea, veg rice and some yellow curry. Any time I go to downtown, I go to Thai Orchid. Their baby egg roll, pad thai, pad khing (stir fried w/ginger) are great. The restaurant decor is beautoful; the view is great.

I came to Thai Orchid hoping for a lot more, considering there aren't many Thai restaurants in Salem that have any respectability. Located in the heart of downtown, on the second floor of a mall, it features a very decent interior, filled with plenty of space to seat many people. The tables are well kept and the decor is well done. The prices on the other hand are spendier than what I'm used to, but hey its downtown right? Sadly, the service is also worse than I'm used to (forgetful, doesn't listen, charged us wrong), but thats not any fault of downtown. More...
