Jennifer was very communicative and I was actually shocked at how low the quote was compared to other movers I called ($1200 vs $1600-2200). I was so surprised I even asked if she can double check and I sent her photos to confirm. I really appreciated that she was able to accurately estimate the amount of time needed to move everything because she was on the dot. I paid several hundred less than she quoted as well! As for the movers, Christian and Sherkhan were very friendly and efficient. I gave them a quick walkthrough and prepared to leave and in that small span of time, they already had ten boxes in the truck. They were always asking me where things were going and double checked that it was placed correctly. I wasn’t very organized myself so I appreciated that. One box did leave a scratch on my floor due to some gravel stuck on it during transport but it was in an area I was gonna cover with a rug anyway. Christian is really amazing at putting furniture together and he put together a desk in 15min when it would take my father and I at least an hour. Overall I was very impressed with Vanguard. TLDR: This was without a doubt the BEST moving experience I have ever had. Christian, Rudy, and Sherkhan are phenomenal! They went above and beyond, handled our stuff with so much care, and even took care of us when our apartment management was incompetent and made the move very stressful. My sister in law had used Vanguard previously when they moved. They packed and moved everything to storage and then at a later date from storage to their house. It was all super smooth so we decided to go with Vanguard for our move. Jennifer helped get us a quote and was polite, easy to work with, and did a great job explaining every charge that was on the quote. There were NO hidden charges whatsoever. We knew everything we were paying for and it was priced fairly. Christian and Sherkhan helped us pack up our apartment. They were on time and professional. Once we got to the new place, the freight elevator wasn't working and the storage unit we had booked was not cleared out. Management had said take it or leave it but Christian and Sherkhan were beyond helpful in figuring out what to do next. They really did not have to but truly made that awful situation so much better for us. Rudy and Sherkhan helped us unload all of our stuff at a later date. We definitely had to do some jenga to fit everything into the storage unit but they did a fantastic job of getting that done while still handling everything with care. The efficiency was amzing, everything was unloaded and set up within 2 hours. In total we have had 4 moves with Vanguard and every experience has been awesome. VanGuard did a great job with my move! Jennifer was very professional and helpful with providing me a quote and booking the service. Reggie and Chris worked efficiently and carefully to move all my belongings securely and quickly. They were professional and pleasant to speak with, our communication were clear, they listened to my instructions regarding what needed to be wrapped, what was going to my new home vs storage unit, etc. The initial quote/estimate was accurate, and the move completed in the amount of time they quoted. This is hands down the best moving company I have ever worked with. I have moved 8 times in the last 8 years so my moving experience is extensive and I have been exposed to many moving companies. I called and spoke with Jennifer giving her one days notice to find 2 guys and a truck for a medium/ large size moving job and she called me back within 30 minutes for an extremely reasonable price to be scheduled for the following morning. She deeply cared about finding me movers even though I gave her such short notice. Rudy and Sherkhan came early to the job, handled my belongings with such care, and drove to our new home as well as a storage unit all within the quoted 3 hour time frame. We had arranged for two movers with a truck and they arrived on time, were quick and highly efficient, and totally professional. Every piece being moved was handled with thought and care. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Reggie, Alex and Altan (I think was his name) were amazing! They had all my stuff packed in the truck within 2 hours upon arrival from the move out place, and within an hour and a half they had everything in my new home where I wanted! They were very helpful with packing some last minute small items and packed my TV very safely and securely. They even took apart and put back together bed frames which was a HUGE help. This review is for Jennifer Banks, who was incredibly patient and helpful the past two weeks. I had a detailed yet changing Excel sheet of my inventory with which she quickly generated an estimate on her end for me. Because of my desired timeline and late request, I didn't confirm with VanGuard. HOWEVER, I wanted to share that Jennifer was excellent to work with. She is extremely responsive and transparent. Just finished up with Vangaurd Moving Express - the truck is driving away now. Chris, Reggie and Franco were the team and they were great! Final price came in under my estimate and the estimate was better than any other company I got quotes from. When I asked what they wanted for lunch they said “whatever is cheapest for you.” They worked hard, moving us from a three story townhouse into a three story house. The whole time they were friendly, polite and smiling through very laborious work! In addition, the advance communication and planning for the move with Oliver was thorough and easy. I was able to share info about our needs via text or email which helped me plan when convenient for me. I got a call the day before the move confirming all of the details and everything went as planned. My husband and I knew that we wouldn’t survive another move where we packed ourselves. Add a 6-month-old into the mix, and we told our realtor that we needed movers who could fully pack us out. These saints came in, packed up our 2 bedroom condo, delays and all, brought over all of our stuff, reassembled our baby’s crib so she would have a place to sleep. This whole process only took one day. And they worked solid for 12 hours. On top of that, the rate was so reasonable. My husband and I were shocked! I wish there was a rating higher than five stars, because I would give that to them in a heartbeat. They took all of the stress out of the move, and made sure that my marriage survived. This team was extremely professional, they were prompt, the cost was affordable, and they worked 10 hours straight with NO break. There are a couple things they did that sticks in my mind. The first thing, they lifted my king size headboard up 3 flights because it was too large to come in my front door. Second thing a couple days later Mr. Bauer came back to pick up all the boxes left from the move. I will definitely recommend this company to others and I will use your services again. Chris and his crew did a fantastic job packing up my townhome. They were very careful with my furniture and worked with me on minimizing my moving costs. I had purchased my own moving blankets, moving boxes, etc. He was judicious with the use of my moving supplies to keep my cost down. I hired VanGuard Moving Express to load my home into a rented trailer/truck. Chris was very accommodating with working with this third party rental truck service and packed that truck like a Tetris master (saves me money since the rental truck service charged me by volume used). VanGuard was absolutely fantastic and mostly because of NOREEN!!! That woman is a God-send, from her quick responses to her care/concern for getting something in your price range - she's the reason I decided to go with VanGuard! They were the most affordable moving company out of all of my other options. The movers were pretty quick, too! The only reason I'm not giving this 4 stars as opposed to 5 is for two reasons- there was one mover in particular who seemed to be very pessimistic about everything (it had snowed a couple of days before my move and he immediately came in with negativity saying that he wasn't sure they'd be able to get it done - even after i spent the morning pouring salt down my steps). He also seemed much more lazy than the other two workers who seemed to be a bit younger and more concerned with getting the work done. They were great. (i can update with names once i get the receipt). The other thing is that, they charge you for the entire process, including when they stopped to get snacks. it took them a lot longer to get to my apartment than they said it would and they also mentioned they'd get snacks. My total ended up being about $200 more than the quoted price - but!! It was still all worth it for Noreen and the other two movers' positive attitude! More...

I chose Vanguard Moving Express because of their low rates and their support to the military. The movers were professional, fast, and took great care of my furniture throughout the move.
