We absolutely love this restaurant, and miss it terribly now that we've moved out of Waltham and can't go as often. It's far and away the best restaurant on Moody Street, which is saying a lot, as is the fact it's managed to stay in business for 15 years on a street with such high restaurant turnover. The food is always fantastic (my favorite is the coffee-crusted hanger steak), the beer and wine list is expansive, the staff is great, and the atmosphere is pretty cool too. We took my best friend here while on vacation. I had a broken leg at the time and the staff could not have been more accommodating. The apps were amazing. We ordered about 2/3 of them on the menu. My favorite was the Calamari and steak and cheese egg rolls.The only thing that was a little dissapointing were the cocktails but everything else was amazing. Highly recommend. More...

The food was excellent - kale caesar has truffle oil in the dressing which was an unexpected treat. Tuna and salmon tartare and the brussel sprout appetizer were good. My husband had the short rib and it was very good. I had thr Portuguese seafood stew which was excellent and as a person who keeps away from starch it was perfect - no potatoes or rice in the stew, just fish, chorizo, peppers and onions. It was a great experience. The ambiance is nice except for the corner by the bathroom which could be smartened up - I almost knocked into people twice on my way to and from. We went with a large group and therefore got to try several appetizers - the buffalo chicken dip, the crab cakes, the spring rolls, and the brussel sprouts with bacon (which were AMAZING). Great staff, clever drinks, fresh seafood, imaginative desserts. Dollar oysters (really good ones!) on Tuesday nights and lobster rolls on Wednesdays, plus late night snacks on Friday and Saturday keep me coming back.

We fell upon Tempo - had to be out in Waltham and looked like a decent option. It was GREAT. I have never had such perfectly done lightly fried calamari; our whiskey sour (with egg whites no less) was sooo good. I'm still dreaming about the watermelon and feta salad. Servers were attentive and easy to work with. My husband wants to move closer to Waltham so that he can eat at Tempo "every week". More...

I've been here maybe 10 times, and I am always thrilled with my experience. The drinks and food are wonderful, and the service is always great. I usually go with at least one of their specials, but their regular menu is definitely worth ordering off of. The tuna entree is one of my favorites. Last night I went with my boyfriend and we shared the special guacamole as a starter and he got a kale Caesar. For dinner I got a special sole with truffle risotto - OMG I could have eaten ten. My boyfriend ordered off the regular menu, and got the spicy seared wild shrimp and New Bedford sea scallops hot. Obviously I tried everything he ordered. Nom nom. Our waiter has been there for awhile and he's awesome, always refills drinks before they're empty and really attentive, I wish I could remember his name. You really can't go wrong eating here!!!!! We just had dinner here. It was our first time and we were there by 530p after my eye Dr appointment. Server was fantastic and had a few suggestions for apps and dinner. We had the burrata and tomato salad which was really good. I loved the dressing, a lime vinaigrette. I had the Scottish salmon that was very good with the English pea risotto. I love risotto, but I didn't love the flavor of the English pea. My husband had the pork chop at our servers suggestion that he raved about. He is a big pork chop fan.
