Tax Edge 365 did my taxes for 4 years but I will not be returneing or recommending them. Here is a quick summary of why you should not use Tax Edge 365: - Will not get your taxes in on time - Will not keep you updated on the status of your taxes - Will file an extension for your taxes - Will not let you know they filed an extension on your taxes - Will not tell you that for filing an extension, if you owe money back, you will be charged interest on it - Will include any interest owed for filing late on their part, into what you owe back to the IRS without telling you. - Triple their prices a month before taxes are due leaving you to scramble Poor communication, having to call a week before April 15th to inquire about the status of my taxes. Call again the day before taxes are due, to be told that Tax Edge 365 “is working on the taxes of people that owe money first, and have filed extensions for everybody else". Why am I having to call a day before the tax deadline to see if this company that I paid $948 to had filed my taxes? An email or a phone call would have gone a long way. Luckily, I know that if you file an extension for taxes, that you have to pay interest on any money you may owe back to the IRS. When I got my tax returns back from Tax Edge, they stated what I owed back to the IRS & state. When I inquired about any interest that would be owed for submitting payment after the deadline, I was told that Tax Edge already built into the price that I owed back to the IRS. The price I owed was not itemized, and there was nowhere on the paperwork that said that that price included interest that I now had to pay because Tax Edge had to file an extension for my taxes - despite me getting everything in on time. Frankly, a shady practice that takes advantage of unknowing customers. When I asked about this, I was offered a “$50 credit toward any future services”. They will not let you know if any price increases until it is too late. In February or March of 2022, I received a letter in the mail stating that the payment to file my personal taxes and Schedule C would be almost triple what I had paid the previous year, a new amount in the $900 range. With the rise of inflation and running a small business, I completely understand. Wish I would have received this letter more than 1 to 2 months before taxes were due, and only weeks before the deadline that most CPAs have for customers to get their information in. I was left at the last minute to either scramble to find someone new that was still accepting clients, or pay over $900 to have your company do them (single tax filer with a schedule C). Knowing that you've always taken care of me over the years, I decided to stick with your company. However this new rate did not include the IRS audit protection, which had been included in previous years (and which previously you had to OPT OUT of if you didn’t want it). Other prices (1099) increased ($35 to $75) as well, but I was not told until after the fact, despite being a customer for years. Unfortunately the additional costs that I had to pay because they did not get my taxes in on time was when I knew Tax Edge really could do no good. This year has been incredibly frustrating with Tax Edge 365 and I only hope they take steps to set their customers up for success in the future. Personally I will not be returning or recommending them. I will keep an eye out for the email about how glad they are that I am taking my business elsewhere that it seems I may be receiving. More...

Tax Edge had done good work on my tax prep for about 4 years. I paid $484 for my 2020 taxes... then, they wanted $948 for 2021 tax prep. I know inflation is up, but doubling the rate is nowhere near current inflation. Ridiculous for a single guy who owns 1 home. I'm taking my business elsewhere. More...

I have used Tax Edge for my taxes the past three, maybe four years. They are always prompt and efficient . My only concern is with the outrageous price increase…$300 to $800 in one year for basically the same return. The reason given for the increase is a poor business model. Like many others my account was moved here when my previous account retired. I was not familiar with their staff or their procedures. Initially I was not happy as I was more than a little impatient with them but because of the pandemic the IRS was more confused than usual. I have used their services for 9 years. This would have been my families 10th year using them and until things change will be our last. Tax Edge has decided that since they cannot manage their own financial situation to past that burden to us faithful customers. They now charge $845 for a itemized 1040. That average for Colorado is below $500. This unacceptable, costs have gone up for everyone, but last year we paid $470 to do our itemized 1040. Helping small business owners and individuals navigate the complex world of accounting, tax, and payroll. As a business owner myself all of my adult life, I remember how stressful it was at times to not have someone to lean on with my own questions, and there was a steep learning curve. I love being able to help my small business owners and individuals set and achieve personal life goals because they are on track with their accounting and taxes.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I worked for a variety of accountants, and one I even helped start his business from the ground up, but I didn't feel that he was doing enough to help his clients, so it inspired me to set out on my own

Our experience level is different than other accountants since we also provide continuing education classes to other accountants, CPAs, EAs, and Attorneys nationwide. This means we have to have a deep understanding of the law since we are teaching our peers, and this means it is easy to take care of our clients and guide them properly.

We have been fully capable to do this for the past 9 years, and we can make the process simple for you with access to your own secure client portal, and meet with you via video or phone methods, whichever is easiest for you.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Since we have had full online capability for a variety of years, we simply utilize this method to assist our clients so they can rest easy without any Covid-19 concerns. We can meet over the phone, over video meeting platforms, or for those that wish to meet in person, we have masks available for you, our staff as well, and with our large conference room, it is easy to maintain a large distance apart.
