I came in for a late lunch or early happy hourbdependong how you look at it. I was meeting a client there and it was suggested by him. I had heard good things, but nothing first hand. So I went in with a very open mind.We sat and discussed life and business over a drink and the staff was respectful yet attentive. When we finally decided to order, they commented upon the dishes and recommended the bison burger based upon hearing me discuss other restaurants and meals.This thing was on point. Seasoned to accent the meat and not overpower it. Cooked just enough to allow the flavor to release and still preserve the exotic nature.I will definitely be back with family and friends. We held our office holiday party upstairs at Tano Bistro on Saturday evening. The ambiance was great. The bartenders/managers bent over backwards to accommodate us, even helping us get a football championship on their television. The craft cocktails, wines and beers were delicious. The service was amazing and the food fabulous. We had a limited menu of chicken, filet, salmon and pork. Everyone raved about their choices. Can't wait to explore the rooftop bar when summer arrives. Delicious! I went here for my birthday...yay...and it was awesome. I started with the tots...I know what you're thinking, tots? Yes, tots...stuffed with bacon and served with a Schirrach sause, yes. Then I had the tomato basil soup. Not too tomatoey, not too basiley, but very balanced and very good. The entree was the stuffed salmon. This was fabulous. Stuffed with crab meat served with asparagus and mashed potatoes, yum. Also, the portions were not punny either. I was stuffed by the end of dinner. Were there for our company event. Tano was very accommodating. Tasty appetizers. Oddly, the bar uses fresh Bing cherries instead of maraschino, which negatively affected the taste of my cocktail. Otherwise, everything was great.

The service was good, the atmosphere was nice. However they seem too focused on making the food fancy (hipster hell) and not focused enough on making the food good. We waited forever for our food, to end up with stale chips and bloody chicken. It was handled wonderfully by the manager, but still we both left hungry. Another great visit to Tano Bistro last night. We usually rotate our visits between their dinners & brunches. Their french toast during brunch is over-the-top & plentiful, especially with their included sides. Last night I had their crab cake from their starter section - I'm a crab cake lover if it's a really good one, and this one holds a place at the top of my chart! The balance of flavors with the slaw & sauce served on the side - delish! (& not dry or gummy because of fillers) I had the blood orange margarita to go with - another great drink Tano has created. My husband had their seasonal cobb salad with their pulled chicken & custom creamy garlic dressing & said it was tops (he loves a good cobb salad). I've read a couple reviews that said service was slow on their visit. That is not usually our experience. I'm not sure if some came when their server had an off day or the restaurant may have had an off day (missing a server who was scheduled). Nine times out of 10, our service is top notch, maybe a little more average to a tad slower the 10th time. Nothing that's ever been a problem for us. The food is always so fresh & delish & atmosphere just right for a nice, but casual, experience. And I just recently found out they have "Happy Hour With A Purpose," supporting local charities! That's a win-win in my book, as both their drinks & small bites are great, plus it helps worthy causes. Tanos is always a favorite for us & those we've brought with us. Dined at Tano Bistro the Saturday before father's day. Tried to get a table online but nothing was available any time around dinner. Called and they were able to get us in. Everything was great - as usual. The scallop special was awesome. Pork chop was a little dry but very flavorful and paired perfectly with the cheesy grits. Steaks were cooked just as ordered. They didn't have a kids menu but have some kid-friendly dishes like chicken tenders. The mini burger with potato wedges was a hit as was the pasta with marinara. Desserts were great and so unique. The chocolate / raspberry one was a table favorite. The one with sesame ice cream was interesting but definitely came in last place. Great selection of mixed drinks, wines, and local beers. I had dinner Monday evening with my husband and friends for a Birthday dinner. We arrived earlier then our reservation, our table was ready but we decided to have a drink first on the roof top. Roof top was beautiful! I was pleasantly surprised to see an elevator at your establishment, this will make it an easy choice to bring my elderly parents and dine with Tano’s when they are in town next month. Our dinner was superb! All our guests got something different and the food was all beautiful and flavorful. I had the stuffed salmon that came with mashed potatoes and asparagus, it was flavorful and the salmon was cooked perfectly! Our server Amanda was so friendly and informative about the menu. Tano, you clean up nicely! What a beautiful setting for an evening out! Three bars to suit anyone's fancy... an atmosphere channeling "retro miami," for dining and drinks on the first floor, a more private atmosphere on the second floor, and a modern, open-air experience on the rooftop! Fabulous!My only complaint is that your rooftop bar is always busy, but it's a testament to the great atmosphere, excellent service, and delicious fare. The unique combination of flavors in each plate and each drink are brilliant; my favorite drink is a mini-magic-show (it turns colors!) changing from a light blue to purple upon adding the last jigger of liquid, and it tastes like an Astro Pop!I love ordering entrees that I would never make for myself at home. It's nearly a "rule" of dining out for me. Fig jam + fennel pork sausage + pickled apple + goat cheese + arugula definitely qualifies! Who else would have thought of this unconventionally delightful combination? My favorite, though, is your take on Surf n Turf. At first glance, it looks like a plate of ravioli, but hold onto your gondolas! Lobster ravioli + braised short rib + celery & roasted garlic bisque + bacon gremolata. I'm drooling while typing. This is cloud-lounging heaven on a plate.What I love most about you, Tano, aside from the fantastic food and service, is the fact that you're farm-to-table. Very nice seating on the roof top. Service was great. I had the pulled pork  BBQ on the recommendation of our waiter. It sounded intriguing as it was a blackberry based bbq sauce.
