They put on a buffet for us that was quite sad, bagged lettuce with abundant brown lettuce and the meatballs were cheap frozen ones to start. Very disappointing and wont be returning. Have been here several times with the same inconsistent experience. Some have a wonderful meal while others, not so much. Caesar salads all came without any dressing, beer and cider were served without glasses, the veal parmigiana had me checking my feet to make sure I didn’t accidentally leave my shoe on my plate! The ambiance was ruined by the invasion of fruit flies throughout the restaurant but made for entertainment as several people were smacking away in mid-air to kill the insects. The bill came before dinner was finished - I guess we didn’t look like the type that might want dessert. Dinner arrived 90 minutes after we arrived and it wasn’t busy and there were plenty of staff. That said, many of my guests said they had a wonderful meal but for those prices, everyone should have had a wonderful meal and a much better experience! More...

Me and my husband had dinner this evening yes the food was absolutely good but I’m a little concerned on the customer service up front last time me and my husband went there believe her name was Lisa very young woman helped us out with our concerns, now when we went there this evening we did not see Lisa was very disappointed this lady can handle a busy situation today seemed busy enough for upfront not to handle this is my concern hoping you guys get this fixed!

Food was good , on the other had the service sucked . We went there for a night out to have dinner I was offered 1 soda the whole time I was there my wife had 1 glass of water never were we asked if we wanted a refill. And our drinks were gone before our food came out we seen out waitress 4 time the first was to get our drink order the second was to take our order the third was to bring us food and the forth was when I went to the hostess and asked for our bill because our waitress really didn’t care about her customers when we asked for a to go box she took all the food and put it in one small box and mixed it all together the box was like a sandwich sized to go box it will not be my first choice of places to go next time and I will make sure I don’t have that waitress if I decide to go back More...

I work near Wellsboro, PA and I drive 112 miles (roundtrip) to Tanino for the Steak Gorgonzola. I have made this trip twice this week and twice now they have gotten my order wrong. I should have ro look into the bag to make sure that you gave me what I paid you for😡 Additionally, the lids weren’t closed so now the pasta sauce is all over the bag instead of on the pasta. Had dinner here last night with a party of three others. Everyone enjoyed their food. On the other hand, the wine was really bad. Had to return a glass of Pinot Grigio that was “off” and got a replacement of sav blanc. I never return wine. The replacement was also off, but I kept it. They charged $9 for probably a 5 oz pour of cheap and stale wine. Lesson learned. More...

I was able to reserve one of the wine rooms to celebrate our parents 50th wedding anniversary. I ordered a custom cake from their bakery in advance. I had Angel hair pasta with the smooth Tonia to sauce and meatballs and it was excellent. The meatballs were very tasty and I really liked the smooth tomato sauce. All of the sauces here are home made and so is the Caesar salad dressing which was excellent, if you like Caesar salad you’ll really appreciate the difference a good home made Caesar dressing makes. Visiting Family in Elmira and this was my 1st time at Tanino. Meaghan our server was amazing and recommended the Grilled Pork Chop. I have never had a Pork Chop this delicious. Absolutely HORRIBLE experience. We just drove an HOUR to eat here! To start, the “make shift hostess” AKA Manager on duty blamed the OWNER for the seating chart being messed up and unable to tell us where the members of our 7pm reservation were seated prior to ourselves. She then paraded the 4 of us around the restaurant to look for them so unprofessionally! Once we found our family and sat down we met our waitress 15 minutes or more later. She introduced herself and took our drink order then asked about appetizers. We ordered baby clams and mussels. When they finally came out both were DEFINITELY less than ROOM TEMPERATURE and DRY! So We sent them back and did not even get offered replacements or any kind off sincere apology. Then we waited.... and waited... and finally we’re offered to have our order taken. Once that was taken we made it clear we want HOT dinners so please don’t hesitate to bring the dishes out as they come up.. so we waited.. and waited... and waited some more... looking around it was clear almost all of the folks that were there before us were gone. We noticed the tables next to us who were seated after us and waited on by someone else had their food... and we’re enjoying it! Finally the members of our group who had salad got their salads... and we finally got our drinks topped off... water!! We were drinking water! One soda and one who had cocktails. The rest WATER! So after two whole hours we asked for our check... we were then advised our food was almost up.. too baaaddd!!! Hope the staff enjoyed our dinner.. it was probably cold anyway! Never again will we be coming to this awful place, way to blame the owner to our face twice that you have to stay late because they over booked Mother’s Day too!! What could have been a 350$ bill for the restaurant turned into a MAJOR loss. I WILL be sharing tonight’s experience with all of my Italian restaurant lovers.. not worth the 4.5 hours spent driving and sitting drinking water... 😡 11:15.... we are just now finally back home, and able to eat because we’re hungry! We had coffee and yogurt for breakfast at 6am and were looking forward to feasting tonight on yummy Italian... nope!
